Strawberry and Rosemary Jam for Joy, Luck, and Protection.

500g strawberries

500g white sugar

Juice and zest of 1 lemon

Rosemary leaves (a bunch, it’s not precise, add it to your taste)

Rince and remove the leaves of the strawberries.

In a big large pan add the strawberries, sugar and the lemon juice and zest

High heat first until it boils, then medium heat for about half an hour.

Towards the end, pour a few drops of jam in an cold plate to let it cool fast and see the texture. Do it regularly until you are happy with the texture.

Add the finely chopped rosemary leaves.

Once ready, pour the jam in sterilized pots.

Enjoy!

I made Strawberry and Rosemary Jam to bring Joy, Luck and Protection and it has been a long time that I’ve never felt so magical. :-) I don’t have a garden, they come from the farmer market and they were grown in a farm near Edinburgh. I’m really trying to live by the motto “Think global, Act Local.”

Small things count

• stirring your coffee/tea clockwise to add positive energy or counterclockwise to banish negative energy

•adding things to your coffee/tea, according to what you need that day like sugar for love, cinnamon for success and so on

•if you choose tea, match it with your intent and don’t worry, each tea has multiple purposes

•meditate, if you’re busy and can’t sit still, do it while walking somewhere, while doing the groceries, while cleaning the house

•light a candle, while meditating or not, it doesn’t matter; firstly, it’s pretty and secondly you can just let it burn and then blow it like a birthday candle, with a wish, like “let this day be good”

•sleep with crystals in your pillowcase for better sleep, amethyst is really good for this and I heard it could also help you with astral travel if you’re into that

•appreciate and respect nature

•bath magic (RELAXING AF)

•match the colour of your outfit to your intent that day

•paint your nails according to your intent or do your make up according to that

~self care is always important, you can’t practice witchcraft if you’re dead, so take care of yourself and remember that your practice is valid even if you do small things or sometimes just need to take a break~

Ways to Strengthen Your Magic

Every now and then, magic can fade. In order to keep it strong and healthy, you have to exercise it. Of course there will always be times when something else is more important than your craft, but there is always a little something you can do to keep it going.

-Whisper an incantation over your lil’ cup of tea.

-Pray to your deities as you fall asleep at night.

-Carry a tiny crystal in your pocket.

-Scribble a quick happiness sigil on your arm before school or work.

-Give your pets some treats you have bewitched.

-Recite affirmations when you get ready to go somewhere in the mirror.

-Light a stick of incense while you’re cleaning or just sitting around.

-Add little thoughts to your grimoire.

-Sleep with your tarot cards.

-Play some witchy music.

-Set out a couple jars to collect rain water.

-Cleanse your home while cleaning.

-Set aside at least one day a month to devote entirely to your craft.

Things Aphrodite Has Taught Me 💋

I can’t depend on others to make me feel beautiful. I just am and I need to accept that. Embrace it.

There is beauty in everything. She has shown me that even in the “ugliest” (as if anything can be ugly?) of creatures or circumstances, there is beauty. I find it in little critters that once gave me goosebumps and snakes which are a huge fear of mine. No matter how dark or unsavory something may appear, look deeper and find something of beauty.

Life will have ups and downs. It won’t always be terrible. It can and will get better.

Some days I am going to feel like hot stuff and some days I won’t, but she still loves me regardless.

I control my appearance and if I want tattoos, piercings, or certain make up she encourages me to do whatever makes me happy.

Adding glitter and sparkle to my life never hurts.

Self care is so important for my self esteem and she never forgets to remind me to cleanse my face or to take a warm shower when I am in need.

I have the power to share my love with others and I choose who is deserving of it.

Experimentation is never a bad thing.

She loves me with all her heart and she is always there. Aphrodite never abandons you. She may be quiet here and there to see if you’re paying attention, but she never leaves.

Tips for baby witches, lazy witches, tired witches, or any witch really:

Enchant your morning cup of tea/coffee

Match the colours of your makeup to your intentions for the day

Visualise the water washing away all the negativity when you shower

Enchant your nail polish (bonus: match the colour to the intention, black for protection, red for love, green for prosperity, etc)

Say your affirmations (for clear skin, fading scars, reducing dullness, etc) when doing your skincare

Charge your perfume with the energy you wish to attract

When tying your shoes, visualise them symbolically protecting you from tripping and “falling” into places and situations that disturb your peace

Use music to your advantage, listen to songs that match your intentions, or alternatively, use music as a tool for divination

Some witches veil to keep their energy from draining and to protect them from others’ emotions, but a beanie works too

If you wear glasses, use them as a tool so that they help you “see clearly”

Put your moisturiser on in the shape of a sigil before massaging it in

Child’s pose is always there for you, use it when you need it (alleviates stress and anxiety, helps clear the mind, releases tension in the back, helps to steady breathing, is overall great for grounding, etc)

Visualise the A+ (on your report card/on the paper after it’s been graded/etc) right before beginning to solve your test/exam, it also helps if you can draw a sigil somewhere on the paper, or trace it on the paper with your finger

When shaving, visualise any energy buildup being shaved off as well

If you play the guitar, draw a sigil on your plectrum/pick for an added boost (this works with other instruments too)

Do not litter out of respect for nature and its spirits

Feel free to add more things onto the list

When you’re just starting out, or even when you’re just too drained to practice your craft like you used to, it can feel like there isn’t enough magic in your life. This is your daily reminder that a lot of the time, the only difference between routine and magick is intent.

quick glamour drink to radiate a safe, loving, beautiful, and powerful aura!

Ingredients are as follows, no strict measurements. Use what tastes best for you!: - Ginger ale ( i’m sure water works too, but I haven’t tried! ) - Two apple slices, can be chopped or not. - Two-three strawberries, chopped up. - A stick of watermelon, can be chopped up or not. - A bit of sugar for added sweetness, if wanted!

I added a bit of sugar first, and then my ginger ale. I stirred for a second, and then added my fruits into the drink. Let it soak for a minute or two, or whatever time you find works. I’m going to be honest, I just started drinking so I didn’t time how long it took for the fruitiness to set in. Can be served with or without ice! I etched a sigil into the cup to enhance it, whether you want to and what sigil you want to use is up to you!
