AU: Predaking’s Den -

In the wake of a revelation, Predaking unveils his sentience to the Decepticons. A once seemingly mindless weapon becomes an unintentional threat to Megatron's leadership, and he unknowingly sentenced Project Predacon to be terminated. In a selfless act of compassion, Predaking manages to save the last surviving Predacon pups, becoming their reluctant guardian. Now, hunted by both Autobots and Decepticons, he will do anything to protect what his previous life had lost many stellar cycles ago, back on Cybertron.

Predaking has witnessed the extermination of his kind, in another life, and once more.

Your majesty, may we pet the pups? I desperately want to hold Ripclaw and Twinstrike so badly,,,

"I wouldn't allow it, regardless of your desperation to coddle them. I have gotten this far, protecting what I have left. So do not pester me on petting them, lest you find yourself dismantled by my... oh-so-accidental mishandling of organics." Besides, he's fairly certain Twinstrike would 'chomp first, rethink his actions later' with the two helms he possesses.

Can I like. touch your face ever so lightly and give you pets and say very nice things about you? Or would you bite my hand off. Either way is good. Just curious because I would really like to commit a Toothless without the powerful beast taming part :3

Hello Predaking do you have any stories about the pups playing or exploring? (Also you are doing an amazing job at parenting. 👍)

"The pups seem to have a lead, even in their own group. Ripclaw. She's often the first to jump into things, and the others tend to follow her assessments. It's intriguing to see first hand but Predacon pups appear to have their own system and dynamics apart from the guardians."

He smiles faintly. "Although, her decisions aren't always the best. They've been learning to sniff and dig for Energon crystals on their own right now, and the pups," Predaking stifles a small chuckle. "They all gathered to dig on uneven ground, far too excited for the prospect of a good meal. We're only lucky the collapsed ground they placed their weight on led to a small cavern. The way they all chirped, huffy and annoyed, tumbling into their own little pup pile..."

Needless to say, it was adorable and one of the few things that made Predaking not want to give up on himself for what had happened.

"The others will forgive Ripclaw for the small mishap, it happens, but they do seem to enjoy the Earth's environment."

Opinion on Shara Ishavalda from the game MHW:I?

"Those eyes... they are piercing and eerie." Predaking has never heard of this 'Monster Hunter' but it seems to be part of a series of games that human entertain themselves with. He's never played before, due to his lack of an upbringing.

"Human imagination can be fascinating at times, garnering all these large and fierce challenging foes to throw at the player." He considers looking more into this game series.

Hey predaking, do you plan allying with some one to possibly help you care for the pups?

"I cannot put myself or the pups into a position of relying on others... I've learned my lesson on that." he vents deeply, grimacing at the thought. "Besides, I hardly have anyone but myself now, even if I happen to be ill-equipped in terms of child-rearing knowledge."

“The pups have been rather fussy, 10 tiny Predacons go through supplies rather quick unfortunately so I appreciate your efforts.” He nuzzles the pups with his helm, his rumbling purr adds a sense of comfort to their little sparks.

Overlord had found a way to send a message to Predaking, leaving some supplies at the boundaries of the predacon's new territory. Energon, preserved meats, blankets, med-grade, along with a note, comm. link contact attached in case Predaking wished to reach out.

-My most sincere and profound condolences for your loss. I hope this might help your little ones. -Overlord.

Predaking hasn’t had much of a chance for self care. After his losses, his failure in being a guardian, his spark threatened to break with grief.

At some points, he wanted to curl up and fall into stasis lock, not to be awoken again. Then he remembered… and knew that others rely on him to survive out here by the forestry lakeside.

Sullen, he sighs and sifts through the package. He felt relief at the provisions, a burden somewhat lifted from his shoulders. Hunting on his own wasn’t easy when the little ones wanted to explore out of the den. Carefully, he pulls the blankets out and tucks the soft fabrics to his new nesting, where the pups were napping peacefully, cutely piled onto one another.

Predaking knew it was unlike him to want to give up but he did not felt adequate to continue caring for them. He sends a small message, explaining the situation to Overlord, even if it felt risky.

The pups do not know the world outside of their containment units, but I’ve been urging them not to explore too far from the nesting.” He curls up against the pile of Predacon pups. “I was not intending to be a guardian to little ones and I feel severely under qualified…”
