We've put a master of detective stories up against a master of detectives. Even though the words were written more than a century apart, Sayers and Sherlock share a similar sensibility and a wicked sense of humor.
Dorothy Sayers is one of the masters of the detective story. And Sherlock Holmes is, of course, one of the quintessential detectives, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but represented in this quiz by quotations from the current popular TV series. Sherlock and Sayers’ characters share a similar sensibility and a wicked sense of humor - can you tell them apart?

Oct. 12 “Running Foxes” by Yetzenia Leiva Gouache and Ink on Paper About this fox: One Fox. Two Fox. I noticed that I illustrated a single fox as the subject of my drawings and I thought, why not two? Maybe tomorrow I’ll paint three?
#octfox — For the month of October, I’m making fox art. Mostly because foxes are my favorite animal. I’m very inspired by the creature and their representation in art and literature. I’ve been called the fox painter because I’ve made more then few works of art with a fox. This month, I want to challenge myself and make something everyday. Client: The in-progress illustration looks beauti- wait. You mispelled a word.
Me: I’ll fix that up in a second. What do you think of the colors and layout?
Client: How can you not catch a typo?
Me: There are still rounds of revisions - it’ll be fixed by the time it goes to print. For now I need your feedback on the design.
Client: (continues ranting about the importance of spelling and grammar for fifteen minutes).
Given the nature of my work, I tend to have to live both sides of this concern. But strictly as a proofreader, I’ve found myself informing an editor that finalized ad copy contains some glaring, embarrassing typo -- it’s easy to wave a hand in the early stages but it’s equally easy to keep forgetting that fix until it’s too late. Quer Kommuniziert Branding by Bruch—Idee&Form
“The brandname as well as the work and philosophy of the studio where the starting basis of the new corporate identity. Bruch decided to put the content in the center of the new branding system by arranging and emphasising text to create a characteristic visual style. In contrast to the clear and graphical use of type the gentle color palette gives the branding a friendliness and communicates the variety of the studios portfolio.”
Bruch—Idee & Form is Austrian graphic design studio founded by Kurt Glänzer & Josef Heigl, with focus on branding, editorial design, print and package design.

Modes of modern form the surest throughline in the National Ballet of Canada’s mixed program featuring a pair of Balanchine classics and Alexander Ekman’s daring Cacti...
As of this season, I have decided to retire. I have many memories of my career. I remember every competition, especially competing at the Vancouver Olympics, winning the Japanese Nationals, and finishing second at Worlds. Missing the chance to go to the Sochi Olympics, managing to perform as I wanted at the 2014 Japanese Nationals after struggling throughout the Grand Prix Series. These have become precious experiences. Though this means leaving the ice, I decided to start my new life as an employee at Toyota Motor Corporation. It was a huge decision on a huge turning point in my life. Through the courtesy of Toyota Motor Corporation and the figure skating world, I am given a chance to say farewell at the final day of Stars On Ice, 17th April. From now on, please continue to guide and encourage me.

Terrific time at @nationalballet's #FourTemperaments #Rubies and #Cacti today! Look for a write-up in the near future.

The prestigious literary typo is my favorite kind of discovery; I shall not cease from exploration.
