remember when I made that post about how I didn't like the "bitches I score because of autism" memes because it was really ignorant of reality to both act like people wanting you "because of your autism" is a good thing inherently and also that even the most autistic or otherwise "neurodivergent" of people I knew still hated me for behaviors I couldn't control and then hundreds maybe thousands of people said that it was a skill issue and also if autistic people tend to hate me then I must be a shitty person in the first place because they don't have that problem

A lot of people seem to mix up ‘community’ with ‘friend group’ so when they read ‘no one should be abandoned by the community. No matter what they did’ they think it means ‘you have to be friends with abusers’. When in reality it means ‘no matter what someone does they shouldnt be left to go homeless and be denied financial, housing, medical, etc aid’

You don’t have to be friends with these people, no one is saying that. It’s just saying that you should support rehabilitative justice, support programs that help homeless people, support funding for free medical services, and make sure they don’t turn away anyone who needs help.

For being homeless and not having access to a proper restroom? For daring to be trans and not informing a sexual partner until after the act? Are you reviewing on a case-by-case basis? Who is doing the reviewing? “Pedophiles”. Does this mean people convicted of child sex crimes or does it extend to people who are just kind of creeps? How do you feel about people who read Lolita? Some people think this category should include drag artists who read books to children, do you agree with that? Are you reviewing on a case-by-case basis? Who is doing the reviewing?

Shelter is not a privilege. Food is not a privilege. Medical care is not a privilege. Life is not a privilege. These are human rights. If you disagree with any of this, for any reason, you need to ask yourself: Is this being reviewed on a case-by-case basis? Who is doing the reviewing? Who can be trusted to do this reviewing in a way that I agree with, without making any mistakes or being bought out by someone with influence and an agenda? Are there other suitable punishments for these crimes that do not violate human rights laws?

There is a threat to the community. It’s fascism. This is how it gets its foot in the door. Don’t worry, it won’t get to you, you’re in the group. But you’re not in the in-group. What happens when the in-group stops liking you? I’m sure you can be bent into the shape of the things they don’t like rather easily. In fact, if you give it some time, the things they don’t like can be stretched quite nicely to fit you without having to bend you very much at all.

These people you don’t like can be put very far away from you. You don’t have to interact with them. You can hate them, even. You never have to see them again. But any advocation for the cessation of human rights, no matter the circumstances, is fascist propaganda. You are a fascist. That is a threat to the community.

that kinda stuff can get someone who’s been/is being abused but is not safe to leave or report at risk of further assault or even murder.

i had to drop a friend for this recently. i understand the intentions, but i have personally dealt with the fall out of these “saviors”.

things i had told a trusted friend about my abuser and i’s relationship were spread around, and i woke up to half my town knowing about some of the worst things that have ever happened to me. but because my abuser and i still lived together and i didn’t have a way out financially (plus i am disabled and use a wheelchair full time which made moving harder), i had to stay. i was forced to recant, publicly call myself a liar so he didn’t kill me, and then suffer further abuse silently up until i was able to leave so as not to risk death again.

keep your community safe. don’t spread allegations without getting the victim’s consent and ensuring their safety.

My advice to other trans women on this site: block. And don't just block one user here or there, if you come across a seemingly popular terf/zionist/maga/whatever the fuck blogger, use their blog to block dozens upon dozens of these people at once. Ideally a good blocking session will add a couple hundred blogs to your blocklist.

Find a terf post with a few hundred reblogs, and block every single person who reblogged it uncritically. Then find another post, and do the same. Do this multiple times, and keep doing it! Complete this mass blocking process as many times as you are able, it is time consuming and tedious, but it is necessary!

You need to discard any apprehensions about blocking people who have not attacked you directly, you need not worry about blocking someone who may not 'deserve' the block, your safety and peace of mind is more important than any potential casualties incurred in your blocking sprees.
