The real lesson of that video was: Be who you are in your dating profiles. Pull in people who are attracted to who and what you are. Don't have a shitty experience because you pulled in someone you have no chance with, because he/she is after something you are never going to be. Have a great experience because you presented a true picture of yourself and got someone who wants what you are!

Use the correct words to discuss what you're discussing

Yes, there are racially prejudiced systems, but that does not mean that racism IS racially prejudiced systems (or that sexism for that matter or any -ism IS only the systemic variety). That would be like saying "Since bread is made in factories, ONLY factory made bread is bread."

Just because someone is or was a victim of something, that doesn't mean they are incapable of being the aggressor in the same activity. If that were the case, well then, there'd be almost zero domestic violence cases, since most abusers were abused, so, by your reasoning, they must not be abusers. Also, since it's the system that abuses, there's no reason to put a stop to their personally abusive behavior. Except, the "system" is just a collection of individuals and the individuals participating in that system need to stop in order for it to end.

If you want to discuss systemic (institutional) racism, then you need to use the proper words, otherwise you are actively creating confusion by using a word which references a much broader topic while trying to insist it ONLY references a more narrow topic.

It absolutely means "you’re a white slave driver who likes to whip slaves and you must hate all people of color, because you're white" and it’s only said in the racist context of  "you are white, therefore you are evil."

It's a way to transform me from an individual into a stereotype that you can hate with impunity. Folks, when that's done over "race," that's what we call racism.

The implication of it being socially acceptable to call white people racist names is, “You’re white and therefore morally inferior, so it’s okay for me to call you whatever I like, because you’re not a good person, because you’re white and some other white people I know did some nasty shit.”

You want to fight violence? You don't pick up a weapon. You want to fight racism? You don't hate people for skin color. You want to fight sexism? Don't treat people like shit over gender.

You want there to be fewer jackasses in the world? Stop being a jackass. There's one less already.

The whole institutional blah blah blah blah argument boils down to: Oh well, those cars didn't crush each other when they ran into each other, because machinery exists to crush cars and since that machinery didn't do it in this case, there must have been no car crushing at all. It's clearly bad reasoning.
