Itās a bit of a meme on AITA. OPās boyfriend was a hoarder. He started collecting full yogurt containers. To the point that he was filling their apartment up with yogurt. All their food storage was full of full containers of it. Rare and unusual yogurt, like yogurt from Cuba and Iran (hard to get because of travel and trade restrictions).
Yogurt that would eventually still go bad.
Heād bought new mini-fridges, just to fill with yogurt. And there was no room for groceries.
He wouldnāt do sensible things like save empty containers or store it elsewhere. He kept telling her to just deal with it. Heād figure it out. Put up with it a little longer. But it was clear he wasnāt going to do anything about it.
So she, the OP, snapped and threw it all out one day.
And the fiance got mad at her, naturally. But he was more upset that she would throw out things of his without his permission. One of the things he said to her during his angry rant was "the Iranian Yogurt is not the issue here". And the commenters latched on to that.
Because he was right.
Just not in the way he meant.
Because OP had been completely ignoring a lot of things about mutually respectful relationships and just basics of respectfully living together. And for the sake of keeping the peace sheād ignored her instincts on like, basic hygiene when it came to all that spoiled yogurt.
So, yeah. The Iranian Yogurt was not the issue there.
Itās basically a shorthand on AITA for āYouāre really missing the point.

idea: scene with two characters eagerly stripping each other clearly about to bone, but they keep getting interrupted by finding carefully concealed weapons in each otherās clothing, so they keep just unholstering, revealing and unstrapping increasingly ludicrous amounts of hidden guns and knives as the clothes come off, and itās lowkey killing the mood a little
Alternatively: it's not killing the mood at all but it's totally making both of them giggle like they're twelve and possibly get lowkey competitive in a subconscious way about who has the most to drop.
The more that I think of it the more I'm seeing the incredible intimacy of letting someone know where you keep your backup knife.
