why do you headcanon tim drake as cherokee

A few reasons:

I wanted to have a nonwhite Tim headcanon that wasn't tainted by Batfanon/Batcest truthers(shout out to wasian Batfans who reclaim wasian Tim for themselves though)

He reminds me of irl indigenous boys i've met and also Piper Mclean from Pjo-Hoo

There's at least one canon comics incarnation of Janet Drake where she's got black hair,dark eyes and brown skin.Not joking ong and her facial features weren't eurocentric either

Tim having those features too alongside his Red Robin era mullet being him finally growing out his hair so he could connect to his culture and heritage fits him very well and so does him having a self-discovery journey connecting to his roots he got from his mother unconnected to his father

I'm a multishipper who includes Tam Fox in his love interests since both canon and fanon only exclude her thanks to misogynoir of the disposable black girlfriend and 'bisexual character means they can't be attracted to black women' variety and headcanoned Stephanie Brown and Kon-El Kent as black mixed(jamaican-korean and half white half black respectively)from the start and then Bernard Down as another black biracial(half white + natural blonde)once he came into the picture and i prefer poc4poc ships so that only strengthend my vision of Tim

I think Tim has really striking eyes. Tim sometimes he feels that he pales in comparison to the rest of the Bats and he gets overlooked but in reality Tim is not only conventionally attractive, but his eyes are incredible. They are paler than the rest of the Bat's, almost clear and they are framed by ridiculous lashes that may not even be noticed until somebody is up in his business. Think Elizabeth Taylor and Meg Foster. Blue that fucking pops. The sort of eyes that once noticed can never be unnoticed, absolutely breath-taking and amazing for somebody who considers himself the lame footed duckling in a family of bright colourful birds.

I just stumbled upon the best fucking fanfiction, I swear to God I’ve ever read with their dynamics.

It was so sweet so adorable. They were kind of codependent. They were completely insane. They were Tim and Dick Grayson ripped straight out of the fucking comics if you have been looking for the old dynamics we had during no man’s land/beginning of Tim Drake this fic is fucking incredible.

Also, they included Tim’s OG big sisters, it was funny. We also had a super well characterized Dick when I say I really feel like I got to read how normal siblings interact but they’re still Dick and Tim.

If there has ever been a fic that I have never shut the fuck up about it will be this fucking one.
