This is what happened to us a few fire seasons back. Everything orange.  Or grey.  So dark that automatic lights were coming on, thinking it was dusk all the time.  Couldn’t see the water, much less across The Bay.  SO...all you folks with breathing problems over there who don’t know how to weather this, here’s a few tips from an asthmatic seven-year California Fire Season veteran:

1.  It’s not enough to just close your windows, and doors to the outside.  TAPE THEM SHUT from inside.  ALL THE SEAMS.  Use clear packing tape...it provides a SEAL, which even brand new windows will not give you.  TAPE ALL THE WINDOWS AND OUTSIDE DOORS SHUT!

2. If you have an air conditioner, run it, and set it to recycle the room air ONLY.  No fresh air.  You should also tape around any openings, like the space between the stationary pane and the moving pane, if you have a window AC.

3.  If you must go out, wear an N95 mask.  They were giving them away to people with asthma, etc, whenever the air got this bad, pre-Covid.  Now everybody’s been through the mask hell, it should (I know, I know...) SHOULD make more sense as to WHY you might wanna fuckin’ wear one.

4. If you have to open a window, open it the slightest amount you can, and hang a WET CLOTH over the opening to help stop the intake of soot/smoke.

5.  STAY HYDRATED.  Keep your lungs clear...use hydration to break up any phlegm in your bronchials.  Hot coffee helps, as well. 

6.  And if you have an air filter, like a Winix, turn it up to turbo-blast (fourth setting) and leave it there until the wind changes direction and the smoke and soot are not an issue. And keep that outer "pre-filter" vacuumed clean nightly. You'll see why when you do it.

The main point being, you have got to keep the bad air out of your home, as best you can, to avoid setting off your asthma or making your asthma worse.

at this point just say y'all don't understand traumatized people. having trauma doesn't always make a person act horrible towards others, ghost is just very blunt and probably has issues with trusting people

but still, he's actually really nice to soap, throughout the campaign he's making lots of jokes and calling him "johnny". only he calls him that. also he literally put his military career on hold to help his brother quit drugs, even though he was bullied by him when they were kids

do you really think that same man would let himself treat others like shit when he spent his whole childhood being abused? he would hate himself if he did that, because then he would be just as horrible as his father

so for the love of god stop acting like he's some monster that hates everyone around him 💀 yeah, it might take him a while to warm up to people but that's expected considering what he went through

“Why are you so obsessed with me going out with you?” He asks, obviously annoyed by your constant nagging.

“I just think it’d be fun,” you explain, “having the whole team together.”

He picks a pile of files from the ground and begins to sort them alphabetically.

“I don’t think I have much to contribute in the ‘fun’ department,” he mutters under his breath.

You gasp, and he turns to looks at you, startled.

“You’re not serious,” you protest with raised eyebrows, “you’re lots of fun!”

He pretends he’s sorting out the files, but you can tell he’s faking it.

“Am I?” He asks hesitantly, “How?”

“Okay, first of all, your jokes, man! They’re awesome!” You shout, “The two-legged dog thing? I peed a little!”

“That was an original, by the way,” he humblebrags, “most of my jokes are my creations.”

“And that little banter you’ve got going on with Soap and Gaz cracks me up!” You add.

“They’re good men, these two,” he comments, “and Price has been my brother since the beginning.”

You sit on a pile of boxes filled with files.

“And what about me?” You ask with a grin.

“Well, you,” he says, “are not sorting fast enough to get us out of here.”

Your smile widens. “Are you eager to get out of here and into the bar with us?” You ask with a wink.

He makes a sound with his tongue and dismisses you. But you won’t give up so easily. You almost have him.

“Come on, Lt.,” you cry, “where’s the ‘no man left behind’?”

“You’re not leaving me behind,” he replies, “I’m willingly leaving myself behind.”

You shake your head. “Nope, the entire essence of our team is this!” you oppose him, “it even says it in our name!”

“What do you mean?”

“Task Force 141,” you say and gesture with your hands in the air, “it’s not one FOUR one; it’s one FOR one.”

He lets out a long sigh and slaps one of the files.

“Is that a yes?” You ask.

“It depends on how soon we’ll finish this,” he replies.

You clap your hands and hop off the boxes. “Let’s pick up the pace, Lt!” You cheer, “we have some shots to do!”

His eyes narrow—indicating that he’s smiling under that mask of his—and he puts the files on the bookshelf. You pick up the knife to cut open the box you were sitting on.

“Y/N?” He asks, and you turn sideways to give him your attention.

“You’re not too bad either.”
