Nearly everyone carries some emotional scars from childhood. Some are the result of life's unavoidable hardships, while others come from experiences that no child should have to endure. That said, not all of these wounds are considered trauma in the clinical sense.
As far as I'm aware, I didn't experience any direct "abnormal" childhood trauma. But I was indirectly exposed to traumatic situations within my extended family, rather than experiencing them myself.
Life as an adult has probably affected me more. 🫠
