THE Q SLUR AND RECLAMATION

queer has been used historically to refer to lgbt people since at least the late 19th century, but reclamation of the it became more common towards the 1980s. it's a controversial topic even within the greater lgbt community as opinions on it will vary wildly from individual to individual.

with this poll i hope to gather more information on individual relationships with the word "queer" and whether or not a person reclaims it. there's no wrong answer here and it's not at all any kind of scientific poll, it's simple curiosity.

Please feel free to include your own feelings regarding queer in the tags, replies or in an addition - I just ask that you keep it civil. ^_^
