ig since this is getting some amount of attention i'll also use this post to educate about the problem to the best of my ability (if anyone wants to chip in about it be my guest im certainly not the most qualified). and yes i get yall are upset about the porn bots but this isn't about bots this is about our sisters being harassed and threatened and having their accounts wrongly terminated. 2 years ago The CEO of Tumblr continuously terminated a trans woman and her alts and then continued to harass her on Twitter, threatening to call the cops if she continued to dispute the wrongful terminations of her blogs. Threatened to call A Person With A Gun to her home over an "explode him with hammers" type post. Trans women have been a continuous target for unjust termination by Tumblr's moderation staff regardless of their blog's content for years, and have failed to step in against users who harass trans women for a long ass time.

btw this isn't solely a disability rights issue or an issue about people who are entirely unable to work. you should also be thinking about the people who are regarded as unhireable. transfems are hugely discriminated against in this way, people of color are passed over for less qualified white people, anyone who has any difficulty playing the interview game is less hireable... frankly anyone who made the mistake of pursuing the things they love and now has a degree for a niche field. if you still joke about Jobless People it's because you've fundamentally connected the worth of people to their labor, and specific labor, work that you see as valuable. and while i'm at it stop making fun of people who still live with their parents. asshole.

Dispatch hit me in a more personal place than I expected. I related a hell of a lot to Visi. Her ADHD, her anger, her insecurity, the way she identified with villainy.... Some people are naturally assholes. I certainly am. And it sucks when you're a natural asshole but you want to be a good person. Because that's not easy. People say it "costs nothing to be nice," but it's often a lot of hard work. It takes vigilance, reflection, self-awareness, and effort. I do often feel the way she felt in that scene in the park. Like I was put on this earth to be a bad person and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm *great* at being a bad person... but I just don't want to be, y'know? That's not what I want. I want people to be happy to have me in their lives. I want to be the good guy. And that's not natural. I have to work for it, and when I fuck up I have to rely on others to recognize that I'm trying my best. And that sucks. It sucks being dependent on others' forgiveness... It sucks knowing your next fuck-up is right around the corner... But there's no other way to be happy with who I am. So when you put a character in front of me who's going through that exact thing, yeah, it's not even gonna take me a second to press that dialogue option. I won't hesitate. You think you're unforgivable? Well I forgive you.

i find roberts influence on her to be the biggest reflection of this. robert is essentially the only one who can 100% support visi (even blazer seems to falter in her faith at times), and it shows how even one person can make a difference in someone going through that. without robert showing her that patience she needs, she resorts to full villainy (even then i dont think its fully there since she still helps robert in the end), but him showing that support and forgiveness for all her past fuckups and being there to help her bounce back from the ones she makes throughout the story really shows the impact a single person can have on someone trying to do better
