“dahmer elected to eat some bicep tissue because he was kind of a bicep man, that was his favourite thing to look at in a potential sexual partner. he thought that would be the part most worth incorporating to himself.”

Never before seen crime scene photo of the inside of Jeffrey Dahmer’s refrigerator, showing Oliver Lacy’s severed head in a box
i feel like when people talk about "what made dahmer a killer" theyre so so quick to say it was just his home life or, if theyre really weird, that it was that hernia surgery he had at four that "made him crazy". but the reality is that Jeffrey Dahmer was a very normal child. i believe what made him a killer was shame. being a gay teenager in the 70s taught him that the only way a man would ever love him was if he was dead, unconscious, or zombified. people are so quick to call serial killers and mass murderers Inhuman Monsters like the title of "human" is something that can be revoked when you do something revolting, but the truth is Jeffrey Dahmer couldve been you, considering the circumstances. it's not wrong to feel bad for a murderer. it's not wrong to wish he had grown up in a culture where he wasnt so ashamed. its baffling how quick average people are to shut you down for the Thought Crime of empathazing with a serial killer..
shoutout to my boyf for this video
"There were no warning signs when he was growing up. There was nothing unusual. Jeff was always just a very shy, quiet boy."
-Joyce Dahmer
"I felt so sorry for him. I wanted so much for him to straighten his life out, get a job, and go to church. He was always so quiet, polite, and respectful, but he drank way too much."
-Catherine Dahmer
"I love my son. No matter what he did, he is my son. I completely condemn the monstrous things he did, but I cannot stop loving the helpless, sick person inside him. Every time I visited him in prison, I just wanted to hug him."
-Lionel Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer is unrepeatable. It is essentially impossible for anyone to possess all those positive qualities at the same time. Only a handful of people came somewhat close to him, but only Dahmer could truly be himself—forever.
Dahmer was born into a tragic situation, lived a tragic life, and met a deeply tragic end. What a shame.
upon entering Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment, you’ll notice that it’s a bit disorganized and awkward. straight ahead from the entrance, you’ll see his fish tank, situated on top of a sleek black table in the far corner of the room. Before the fish tank is a light colored couch and a crooked rug, too small for the space it’s in. the walls are sparsely populated with erotic imagery of the male form.
on the upper corner of the wall, there’s a security camera, like one you’d see outside of a grocery store.
looking around the small, cluttered apartment, you’ll find hints as to what the man who lives here gets up to.
here on this side-table, you’ll see empty cans of beer among what looks like bottles of chemicals and medications. there’s even a drill on the floor next to a bottle of bleach.
if you turn to your left, you’ll see a cube freezer, stationed awkwardly near the kitchen area. on top of this freezer lay a bunch of polaroids taken by Dahmer. in front of the freezer are several boxes of Soilex cleaning product and several square cardboard boxes, which contained acid.
if you turn all the way around, you’ll be back at the front door, looking at the hallway towards Jeff’s bedroom.
stepping just into the small hallway, and turning to your left, you’ll see Jeff’s bed along with a dresser carrying a TV. the floor is stained and the room is cluttered but not full. beyond the dresser, just out of sight, a large blue drum takes up space in the corner. i wonder what he keeps in there..?
🗿signs of loosing control:
in february of 1991, dahmer felt things were spiraling, and that he was losing control. after he'd drugged curtis straughter, straughter, began to pass out while on the bed, rolled off and knocked over a black table. this table held two gargoyles that dahmer believed were occult symbols of personal power, meaning he didn't have to answer to anyone. each gargoyle had a word inscribed on its base: one read ‘leon,’ the other ‘apal.’ dahmer interpreted straughter's act of knocking the table over as a clear sign that he was indeed losing control.
Serial killers
"He testified that he would leave his grandmother's house early on a Friday night and rent a room in one of the cheap hotels just west of downtown. There he kept supplies of alcoholic beverages and crushed Halcion pills, waiting for any boy he could convince to join him that night. He said it worked well for him and that he spent many nights sexually dominating men he had picked up and drugged". 💊
