I'm going to start a swimming work-out
in addition to training for my 5k. It's going to be tough, with work and all, and I'm going to be tired, but I wanna get back into good shape for underwater hockey when it starts up again in the fall.
So far, I found a workout plan online for beginning swimmers. It is as follows:

4 x 25 with no more than 20 breaths rest
Workout #2 (100)
4 x 25 with no more than 15 breaths rest
Workout #3 (150)
6 x 25 with no more than 20 breaths rest
Workout #4 (150)
6 x 25 with no more than 15 breaths rest

8 x 25 with no more than 15 breaths rest

I think I'll try to do at least 2 (ideally 3) swim workouts per week, and move onto a new workout when I feel I've conquered the old one. I'm going to try my best and put in an addition 3-4 days of training for my 5k and doing ab work.
It's gonna be one hell of a journey!
