imo there's two ways an author could approach the matter of periods in vampire books:

the vampire hates it, because it isn't pure blood, but it also has mucus, destroyed endometrial tissue, the unfertilized egg and etc. It makes the blood impure - that's why they usually go for the neck, its a less adulterated version.

it's the purest, most delicious nectar they could put their mouths on. bc while it still has a lot of other stuff, it also has stem cells that can turn into another body cells.

I hate to say this, and like, rain on everyone’s parade, but after scrolling past three posts about it on a writing tag …

If you are looking up synonyms to exchange words out in your story with the purpose of sounding smarter, more sophisticated, or complicated to your reader, you are probably abusing the thesaurus.

Now, if you *want* to do this, I mean, you can write whatever or however you want! But I just want you to know that this is frowned upon if you are trying to write at a professional level.

kinda started to write this but forgot in my drafts, and I have no idea where I was going. Feel free to use and make something out of it.

Kakashi blinks awake with a terrible feeling. He's somehow standing, and while he doesn't awaken fully, he wonders if this is some sort of prank.

No, it can't be Naruto, knowing how he's fucking dead, the idiot.

The rokudaime still doesn't know why he let Naruto sacrifice himself for something so… trivial. The knucklehead always was a self-sacrificing bastard, but to the point of taking a hit that had him — Sharingan no Kakashi (without the sharingan), the friend killer — as a target, that was too much. Now, he needs to deal with being hokage again while he analyzes a new indication to the title.

Kakashi feels his hands shaking slightly, so he forces them in first. Oh well, he would if he could. His fingers are so rigid that he can't move them. Why?

Blinking rapidly, the hokage tries to look at his hands, but even if he still can feel them shaking, he can't move his head, or his arms.

The fuck?

He also notices something when he tries to sigh: his lungs are unmoving. How?

red riding hood!stiles getting annoyed with his hero because batman is putting his nose where he shouldn't be, and Red Hood always gets more closed off when batman is around.

Bonus: jason todd falls in love with the cute twink that opened a craft store in gotham, but he would never think that Stiles stilinski was the "copycat" bc stiles has the tendency of being clumsy and the copycat is too skilled to even try to be like the guy. Also stiles likes to mess with him.

Peter and Stiles' relationship is interesting because of this. Look at his expression, notice how his eyes are pratically begging for Stiles to say yes.

I don't think that's an "I'm into you" expression. It's more like he is searching for packmates, but now he's not 100% mad, and he likes Stiles, so he asks and hopes that Stiles can also want to be his beta. Be a part of his pack. And he knows that Stiles won't accept it, not because he doesn't want to be a wolf, but because Peter hurt his friends, and that's not negotiable for someone as loyal as Stiles.

that's the sadness of his expression, and that's why he affirms that Stiles is lying. Bc Stiles is! And both of them know!

Peter knew even before stiles himself that the boy liked men. He watched the boy discover himself, date some young things, and go on dates with men his own age sometimes. But, one thing is knowing he likes men, watching him in a leaked video fucking someone else, is another one entirely.

stiles is tired. He's tired of being a fragile human, absolutely exhausted of being the only one to have bruises days, weeks later. Peter, though, seems to notice it too easily for his comfort, always saying "you should be a wolf, stiles." With that soft voice, almost purring on his ear "you would be so good as a wolf stiles", and it almost eats him alive some days. But he can't, he won't.

Stiles knows himself, better than most could hope. He knows that if, for some reason, someone turns him, he will need to leave Beacon Hills, leave his dad.

Stiles will never accept be turned into a wolf, not because some bullshit about species, no. Stiles won't accept it because it would go to his head so easily. It's already difficult controlling some tendencies just being a fragile human, he can't risk being anything else.

His throat is sore, gulping furiously as it catches again and again. But Stiles doesn't cry—his eyes are shining with tears from his laughter. He is laughing so hard, so loudly that it echoes through the city. Gotham isn't a silent city like Beacon Hills. No, Gotham has so much noise pollution that it makes your head hurt constantly. Sirens blaring, shouts startling, yells resonating. Everything happening at the same time, but the only thing he can hear is his own violent laugh.

At first, his laughter is drowned out by those sounds, but as the minutes stretch and he simply can't stop, the other noises become muddled—or maybe they just stop entirely. He doesn't know. His laughter is too loud in his own ears for him to hear anything else.

It's like that—head thrown back, eyes spilling, laughing like a madman—that he sees Batman lurking on the building above him. Stiles has his bat in one hand (and isn't that really funny? He laughs harder). He is soaking wet, but not from water or rain. No. His side is dripping so much blood that he doesn't know how he is still on his feet.

More interesting is the scene in front of him. The man—no, the monster—who kidnapped his father is lying there, head smashed through. Hands, feet, knees, and every single joint are also crushed. His bat is in tatters, but Stiles isn't even sad about that.

What really makes it funny? That doesn't stop the hurt. That doesn't bring his father back. Killing the man doesn't even make Gotham a tiny bit better because the city is so fucking ruined that one more or one less doesn't make any difference.

"You know," he starts, his voice catching a little as he giggles and sniffles, "when I went out to hunt this rat, I thought you'd be more occupied with that laughing maniac. I see I may have brought some attention to myself."

bruce wayne being batman is the most majestic thing stiles could ever discover, but he's not surprised. a rich masked dude running around in gotham and spending that much money in a lost cause? has to be the local nepo baby.

what really surprises stiles is the resemblance that same dude has with scott. that no-killing rule? has to be some scott bullshit and stiles can't. he tried one time, he tried to follow another person's rules and it fucked him up enough.

if just this autistic man with hiperfocus in bats would stop trying to adopt him! he's a full-grown man already!
