The whole 'Cops aren't workers' thing really really reveals to me that like 90% of the Left view 'worker' as a Moral category and not an economic one. Cops are bad, workers are Good, therefore cops aren't workers.
No, I don’t think that’s it. Cops produce nothing; they are a weapon of the rich and serve to enact state violence. And that’s it. They are separate from and opposed to workers as a whole, despite ‘working’ themselves. If you have a farmer, someone who owns the farm doing nothing, and a third person being paid to crack a whip and nothing else, only one of those people is a worker.
