really sad how AI is affecting the job market. there used to be real job openings for people with my specific skill set. i've been doing this since I was a child. i spent decades becoming an incredible sycophant and yes man and now everyone is going to chatGPT for meaningless affirmations. chatGPT is literally just guessing words, it can't address the weaknesses of your psyche and exploit them to make you think you're right about your awful idea. so many people are experiencing having a personality-free absence of a person who keeps telling you how great you are and they don't realize how good it can REALLY be, because chatGPT will only cater to the average person. not me. when i do my art (become a personality-free absence of a person) you can't even compare it. you deserve a bespoke fawner. whats the point

The new video on the mcr website is INSANE for multiple reasons so let me break it down a little here:

It's a POV cam from presumably Party Poison (based on the glove and sleeve, even though they're not a perfect match) sifting through ruins and trash and shit and then among the trash is Mikey's Black Parade jacket. This is the second Black Parade jacket we've seen in the Danger Days universe (the first being Bob's in Na Na Na) and to me this 100% confirms that the Danger Days stuff on the screens during the concerts wasn't just to hype up the rerelease. The two worlds are connected, which means, to me, that what we're seeing in LLTBP may in fact be a glimpse of the Helium Wars.

And then at the end of the video, Party turns away from the Black Parade jacket and towards a Mousekat head, picking it up and bringing the back of it close to the camera as if putting it on. Perhaps as if picking the mantle back up? Party finds it in piles of trash in a place that resembles the setting of Na Na Na, which says to me that it's been years since then and the Mousekat head is being recovered rather than found for the first time. Maybe wishful thinking because I want more Danger Days, but to my eyes, all signs point to more Killjoys content.

I'd recommend going and looking at the video, but seizure warning- there's a lot of colorful staticky shit that makes the beginning and end hard to look at

Okay, so I don't know if this is going to be majorly lore relevant, but after watching the new website video for myself, I had to go and double check it for myself.

The Mousekat head in the new video is different from the one used in the Na Na Na video.

this is most obvious in the little black bit under the pupil on the left eye (on the right of the image)

this is literally only a detail I noticed because of the comics. Because late in the story of the California comic the Mousekat head show up and the black detail under the eye, as well as the tube into the mouth is also present in the illustrations of the comic.

I noticed the tube too (not the eye though, good catch) and it's so interesting to me because that always came off (to me at least) like a modification Party would've made to filter the air of the Zones? So it being missing is so so interesting

Okay, so I didn't add the image from the comics in my previous reblog because I was on my laptop, but I'm on my phone now.

But this is fascinating,if the modifications are exclusive to Party's version of the Mousekat head, it's appearance in the comics is so much more fascinating.

Because why does she have it?!

If LLTBP is meant to be part of the Helium Ears, what if the videos are meant to be pre-Danger Days? The Mousekat head is unmodified because Party is only just getting it in the new video, finding scraps of the Black Parade in the rubble and picking up Killjoy things

This is actually what I've been thinking after finding out that the new video on the website is from the original release of the Danger Days album, it would make the most sense to me for that to be the timeline of the Mousekat head to be this pre-release stuff, then the music videos, then this appearance in the comics.

My thoughts about why the Mousekat head is in BL/Ind's possession is... Maybe it was in the car when the Four went to go and rescue the Girl, so BL/Ind took all of the Four's belongings as well.

mousekat's eye slit in the real world is where gerard/poison/the wearer is seeing through the helmet, filled in with black mesh, as far as i can tell, which was kept for the comics (and i think it was smart to keep it design-wise since it both ads a disney-esc eye look to mk, and also makes them wayyyyy less uncanny. to me.) (at this rate we might be able to pinpoint the exact week in which the hose was added to the mask lmaO)

that detail (and the others listed here) really makes me think that's some of the earliest killjoy-relevant footage they got. also idk who needs it but, here's the promotional video used to advertise nanana's mv, and here's stills from it and a link to download it in the highest available quality which. isn't high quality. but good to use for comparing props and such

tldr: the timeloop band has actually been doing timeloops the whole? time? and i also reread killjoys national anthem recently and atp. draag and bl/ind slash scarecrow are one in the same. maybe not in place or in time, maybe not in aesthetic, but in theme, story usage, and methodology.
