Have you seen Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends?
If not, it's on HBO!
News of the casting change aside. I really like the show and I love this interaction between Geralt and Ciri.
Stepping out of your comfort zone can be very difficult specially if your #anxious or #depressed thoughts are not on your side. I agree with the quote sometimes what we need is to face our fears. That can be anything from asking questions, giving that speech, asking for help, reaching out to people, going to therapy, making that phone call, submitting the application, etc.
You can make a plan face your fear using baby steps, ask someone to be there for moral support or send you a reminder, give yourself a pep talk right before, remind yourself that the fear is unrealistic (because most of the time the fear thoughts are), etc.
So yeah sometimes you have to notice your fear, accept it, and do it anyway.
How do you face your fear?
"Check out the therapy show over here," lol. Every time I watch this Nightime at the Museum, this is the line that I repeat for days because I find it hilarious. It could be childish, but it makes me happy, so it doesn’t matter.
So yeah, mental health is important, and therapy can be fun, interesting, and a place to geek out. Our culture is an important element that is considered in therapy, so being part of the geek culture should also be considered. Geek culture often defines what hobbies we do for self-care, how we receive support from our communities, and how we view the world.
Incorporating what we love in the therapy session can help make us feel more comfortable, stay motivated, and remember what was discussed in therapy.
What’s your favorite fandom?
I am definitely going to continue creating this type of content. It is so much fun, and I can pack more information…
What movies, animes, or shows would you like me to use to talk about the mental health topics I noticed?
#naruto #boruto #anime #animetherapy #psychologyforgeeks #reframeandreenchant #act #therapistofinstagram
Anyone else avoids watching anime when it's all about food? I can’t watch any anime without craving Japanese food afterward!
Please tell me I am not the only one.
What anime has the best food?
Aren’t they adorable!!!! Toothless is great but just look at how happy #calcifier is!
I always end up liking the side character in movies/shows, and there is like no merch out there for those characters… so the only way to go about it is to commission stuff.
Luckily for me, I have a friend who is great, and her art is awesome, so it was really easy…
Check out her stuff @kindred.soul.art!
I asked for 2 more of these and I am considering asking for another 2 (#R2D2 #babygroot need a spotlight).
New people joining a #fandom is good because then we can #geekout with more people about the things we are passionate about. Gatekeeping only prevents the fandom from having fun. We need to keep an open mind and allow the fandom to expand to make it even better. Yes, there will be a change in the fandom because change is needed to survive. The tips in the video are a great way to introduce children, adults, coworkers, friends, etc., to the world of RPGs and have fun.
Here is the link to the video... its only like 10 min, so its pretty short...

Just a gentle reminder to feel your emotions, reflect on their reason and then let them go. Allow yourself to experience them, and then take your time to
I love #spyfamily. It's so funny! Anya’s expressions are the best, and her attempt to build a family and keep it together is even better.
Have you seen the anime or read the manga?

Cons are supposed to be fun not something stressful or anxiety-inducing. #reframeandreenchant your con with some mindfulness techniques.
I made a list of things that I had wished someone had told me the first time I went to a convention…ok to be fair, my friends were amazing, and they did tell me like half of the things on the list because they are fantastic. So I just wanted to share them with you…
So I ended up recording this video last minute… just as the #sandiegocomiccon is starting. So it's not as amazingly editing (thank you, baby bro!) as my other videos but the info is still good… yeah still good!
So yeah check out the video on my YouTube channel Psychology for Geeks… let me know what you think (keep in mind that it is unedited because I did it late last night) and share some of the tips that have helped you survive a con!
You can find the video here -> https://youtu.be/ikZZv8RCgsc
A new video for the Geek Private Practice series on my YouTube channel! I talked to Charlene McPherson from @NAT20Therapy. We geeked out about #TTRPGs, becoming a certified #geek therapist, doing a panel at cons, and discovering your own #therapeutic style, and she gave so many great tips that… I can’t summarize it very well it's best if you check out the video. You won't regret it!
The series is where I interview different mental health geek professionals who have their own practice. I ask them about how they went about opening their practice and ask them to share some tips and tricks with us.
So if you are interested in one day opening our own practice check out the series!
