          Tuls stiffened immediately, feeling somebody’s fingers tangle his hair- from the feel of it, they seemed rather short, and a mild blush ran across his cheeks as he leaned his head back, trying to catch the perpetrator out of the corner of his eye- all he got from his efforts, though, was a glimpse of choppy brown hair and more fingers running gently through his hair. 

“M-miss, please! I can promise you that the color’s natural and everything,” He yelped, nearly bending backwards at this point- he felt more like a petting zoo than a person. “Ma’am, just-”

And though he’d loathe to admit it, having somebody play with his hair actually felt a little nice.

♡-Is there a certain scent that brings about nostalgia?

((pines/evergreens- when he was in sinnoh doing the league challenge and all that, he spent a lot of time in snowpoint city training bc going against an ice trainer w low-lvl ground types would’ve been a bad idea- to him, the smell of snow and pines is like determination but also having fun, like a journey.

((i’d be down w either platonic or romantic for this tbh, like cecilia’s roaming flowershop comes to kenyte and tuls is an absolute mess for it bc nothing’s grown there for years and ends up nearly/completely buying it out, and eventually begins coming up w excuses to get her to visit like ‘cecilia those seeds i bought flowered stop by’ or ‘cecil a kid’s having their birthday next week what are some good arrangements’ (partially for the flowers and partially for cecilia) and just knows he’s in too deep when he meets her rampardos, bc who wouldn’t want to be friends w a girl who loves flowers and has a literal dinosaur on her at all times..

tuls is definitely the kind of person who respects boundaries and would constantly worry abt going too far, so i can also see him having an unrequited crush on her too

as far as their relationship would go, i think that just stopping by every-so-often and having a chat every once in a while would b enough for them aa))

((i can see them getting along p well- tuls p easygoing as well and i can see them becomin like a brotp (the only problem is that evan is p wanderlusty and tuls tends to stay inside kenyte, so they probably wouldnt see each other that often tbh) i can also see their personalities clashing tho- evans like this lighthearted kid and tuls is this bitter dusty person (maybe they’d get balanced out? like salty person+sweet person= realistic person)

romantically tho they’d probably just laze around whenever evan comes to kenyte and not get anything done til he left (and then its like an eternity of phone calls until he comes back))

((crystal and tuls are like polar opposites omg ;; she’s the heir to a luxurious-ass empire and is this beautiful hardworkin queen while tuls lives in dust city and just bums around and probably eats dirt lmao

i can see them becoming like.. either a good friendship that helps balance each other out (initially crys might not like tuls bc he has no ambition and he might not like crys bc she’s a haughty duchess but then they talk and become grudging friends) or a trashy power couple that travels a lot and wears fancy-ass clothing everywhere))

“Sorry for interrupting, but I’m not sure if you’ll see anything out here.”

    The sky was plenty dark enough, and the weather was fine- the night would’ve been perfect for stargazing if not for the full moon that hung low in the night, bright enough to nearly block out the dotty pinpricks of the stars. Still, Tuls couldn’t fault the man for being out- even the moon made for a nice sight, even if there was only one of it compared to the thousands to stars.

“I think that the moon’ll block out anything else, diva that it she is. It’s all about light and science, yeah?” He crouched low, looking up as he grinned in a sly sort of manner.

“Though, I don’t think that either of us are much concerned with science, with musician that you are,” a short sweep of his hand towards Evan’s guitar, “and the bum that I am.”

Batting the other man’s hand away, Langston turned his head, rubbing at the scratches on his cheek with a huff.

Like his current internal conflict between leaving and possibly offending the elite, or staying and being fussed over by a man who positively terrified him.

         The way the gym leader phrased it made it clear that it wasn’t up for debate- the scorn edging his voice as he looked down on the breeder, brows furrowed and lips pressed tightly together as the heavy rain pelted down on them- the implication behind his words hung heavy as he glared, and then turned away sharply, hissing through his teeth.

“I don’t suppose that they sold umbrellas at that little market of yours, did they?”
