Time dragging on and on, every day feels like a blurred repeat of the last, making tomorrow painfully predictable. A Pet-Semetary-groundhog’s day; watching all the dirt unsettle, the ground humming, a thousand small and screaming voices emerging, closer and closer to the surface.

Drowning like quicksand, a thousand screaming voices trade the cool air and light of dusk for you. It was all for you. You wanted this the whole time. You waited for it to swallow you whole and suffocate you in the earth, the soil, the muck; where you belong. from wherein which you came. Dirty and filthy and disgusting.

The day you were born it was bitterly cold and your mother’s firm and steady thumbs rested on your squished eyelids. it was a toss up between if she would wipe the thick clay from your eyes, or instead, just as easily, gouge them out. What you can’t see can’t harm you, can’t corrupt you, can’t alter you forever. Oh, to protect you, to keep you kind and soft and gentle. Begrudgingly and slowly, she wiped and with even more haste, you blinked open your hungry eyes. You couldn’t help yourself if you wanted to. It was too late.

guys I am so excited for thursday (national chicken salad day) I’m going to go to chicken salad chick and listen to perverts in the park while I eat and ponder ! Cannot wait !!!! 😇

(I get 2 scoops of lauryn’s lemon basil and a side of pasta salad and another side of fruit with a large cherry coke and extra crackers)
