It all happened suddenly, the fight at least. Everything else had been tucked away and just an inner battle of each to their own. The last thing he wanted to hear from the person he loved the most say “I’m leaving.” And turn around with her bag of stuff closing the door, walking out of his life maybe forever. So in a panic he picked up his phone pushing dial when he typed in Michael’s phone number. He answered on the second ring. “Hey.” He answered. “Mike it’s Y/n, she left. We fought, I said some harsh things then she left. She said she was leaving, Michael. I don’t know what to do, I think she’s going to the airport, I don’t want to loose her Mike.” Calum sobbed, rambling. “I can’t live without her, I just can’t.” He choked out after pausing for a second. “Pack a bag, we’re going to the airport, and possibly flying somewhere.” Michael suggested, with a compassion filled voice. “Okay, do you think I’ll be able to get her back? She left before I could say what I needed to.” Calum whimpered, still extremely upset. “We sure can try, I’m not letting this go down with out a fight. You have fifteen minutes to get what you need I’ll be there in ten.” He said, then the line went dead. He stuffed the bag, like his life depended on it. Tears streamed down his face as he picked up her favorite sweater of his throwing it on and throwing his duffle bag over his strong shoulder. The rain poured much like her tears and his own once she walked out, thunder rumbling. Him yelling “wait” but she just ran, needing an escape from the sadness. The windows streaked with salty water matching his face, everything was grey and blue then, his heart breaking. But there was still hope, hope she could love him again. Hope that they could resolve everything. Hope that they could be the strong, cute couple they use to be, that their love could be strong again, cause in this time he released that she was it for him, that I’d it wasn’t her it wouldn’t be anyone else. His thoughts were disrupted when he heard Mike honk outside, he grabbed his bag and keys and slipped out into the pouring rain. On the way to the airport Calum explained everything. Wiping his eyes occasionally. “Where do you think she’s going?” Michael inquired. “Seattle, or Astoria most likely. She always spoke about how much she loved it there, I was planning a surprise trip for us to go. I wish I would have done or sooner.“ He said starting to sob again. “It’s okay, you’ll get her back. We’re almost there.” Michael consoled. Calum just wiped his tears and watched the rain the weather matching his emotions. Once Mike pulled up to the airport Calum ran in and looked for the nearest person to help him. She was a tired blonde woman, a little under sixty. “Hi what can I help you with?” She asked, with a fake smile. “Hi I need two tickets to Portland Oregon tonight.” He said. “Okay, is that all?” She asked getting ready to take his card and ID. “Actually one more thing, can you look up Y/n Y/l/n and tell me what her flight is and what seat? Please, I beg you. I can loose her, I’ll pay you to do it just please help me, I’ve really messed up.” He begged. “I’ll see what I can do dear.” The lady sighed looking it up in her computer. Telling him where she was going and what seat. “She’s in 32 C dear, the seats next to her are empty, would you like them?” She asked. “Yes please thank you so much!” He said handing her his stuff. “You’re welcome, I don’t usually do this so don’t try it again.” She spoke sternly. “Okay! Thank you again!” He said grabbing as both him and Michael grabbed their things and heading to their waiting section. Calum looked everywhere trying to see you, hoping that you’d come to him or something, but there were too many people, which meant he’d have to talk to you on the plane. “Flight D16 section 2 for delta airlines will board now.” Was announced over the intercom. Calum shot up and headed towards the plane. He couldn’t wait to see and talk to you, even though it had only been a few hours, he new this depended on your relationship. When he went to sit down he saw you, you had ear buds in and you were wiping your tears away. You wished you wouldn’t have made this decision, that you would have stayed but he didn’t know that. Put his carry on up above and slowly sat next to you. He admired how beautiful you looked even though you’d been sobbing. He tapped you on the shoulder then, bracing himself for what would happen. “Cal, what are you doing here? You asked wiping away your tears. You were ishock that he did this. “I couldn’t let you go, it was a stupid fight and I was stupid for what I did. I love you and I’m so sorry, I didn’t want it to be this way, just please don’t leave.” He choked wiping his tears away trying to hold back sobs. “Cal, I’m sorry for leaving. You must have been worried sick, I regretted it as soon as I got on the plane, I love you and I don’t want this to be it.” She whispered, wiping his tears away. Placing a gentle hand on his cheek. “Y/n, this is my fault I’m so sorry, I was going to plan a surprise trip for Oregon, but I was trying to find the right time. I realized you were it for me though, I just want you no one else. I love you so much baby girl, I m so sorry.” He cried as she wiped away all his tears. “Cal, sweetie it’s my fault as much as it is yours. You’re so sweet baby and I wish I wouldn’t have put you through all this. You’re it for me too. So how about we forget this and go on this vacation that you were planning?” She said running her fingers through his hair and holding him close. “I’d love that baby, but Mike tagged along to help me.” He said. “That’s okay honey, let’s do this.” She said tangling his hand with hers and leaning into his side.
