hi it's the miscling back again to ask for grocery and utilities money for this week. this week it's fundraising grocery money, but also there's bills and it's started organising the next big tnemm meetup. it needs to ask for £150 by the 20th july to cover necessary costs.

this thing is a disabled transfem community event organiser, managing a whole bunch of trans women, autism, unmedicated adhd, plurality, and a little physical disability. any help it gets would be greatly appreciated!

any support it gets is going to go towards its necessary costs, and anything beyond that is going to go into supporting its girls in tnemm and getting them to our meetups!

hard fucking month. having a pet die is expensive, grief is expensive, being low mobility is expensive. i just paid my rent fine, but i don't have much left now for groceries. also my big-ass ankle surgery is finally scheduled for the first week of august so i'm trying to get my place set up now for being on cast & crutches for 6+ weeks. anything helps ♥️

Trans woman in need of help

Ive been trying to get my life together for some time now, and that started with my transition. Ive been needing help living with disabilities and burned out, and now dropping out of uni. Getting employed is pretty much impossible and I've been surviving off savings and these donation posts. Food and bills and my own hrt depend on thse until I manage to get my life together, which is very hard when your life hangs on generous donations every month.

my therapist asked if i was looking forward to my birthday and i said the only thing im looking forward to is total societal collapse. i told her about the chair and she asked if i was excited about that and i told her im not getting my hopes up and that i might have to use those funds to buy dinner tonight. i dont look forward to things. when i have a desire i crush it,i bury it, because wanting leads to pain. living is pain. im in pain. thats my every moment. id at least like to be in pain in a comfortable chair that doesnt make the pain worse.

As of June 29, 2026 the law discussed here is a recently passed California state law (AB 1043) that requires age validation before using a computer connected to the internet. This is expected to happen at the operating system level, when you login to Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.

Ageless Linux intends to force the issue before the California state supreme court, then ultimately (probably) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). It's a stupid, dangerous law, voted into place by legislators who either don't understand the core issue OR knowingly voted for it because they're assholes.

California is an influential state in the US. Many laws & regulations passed there eventually trickle out to most states. That's why it's worrisome to see this kind of thing rammed through, and why it's important to fight it.

Also, it doesn't matter if you use Linux or not. Or whether you live in California or not. Visit their site, read the text, learn what's going on with access to computing in this hellscape timeline.
