because! this director always has his (male) leads wield (song mo, the butterflied lover lead) double swords and it’s just so perfect that changyu is gonna follow that tradition as well

AND what is so hilarious is that this director also has this prod tag like scene where the FL’s earring is shot through by an arrow and gets broken (again in both blossom and butterflied lover) and this time it happened when sui yuanqing shot at xie zheng’s mask bahahah
