There are 5 things in the dorm that everyone knows in the dorm, rules if you will. They were simple, easy to follow, and if you broke them, you suffered whatever the consequences were, and Chan was the one who decided those consequences. And no one wanted that.
Rule number 1: Clean up after yourself. The dorm is small, and there are eight of them living in one small apartment. If you cooked and made a huge mess, you helped clean up. If you had a snack, make sure there are no crumbs left, and throw it away.
Rule number 2: Make sure homework was done. This was mainly to the ones still going to school, Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin. But for the others, you made sure you still studied or helped the ones still in school.
Rule number 3: Come to practice and training on time. Simple
Rule number 4: Respect each other's space and opinions. Now that they were all living together they needed to get along. Jisung and Hyunjin seem to be the only ones on a daily basis that ignore this rule. But it was a work in progress, the longest they’ve gone without fighting is up to two days, so yeah…Progress!
And lastly… Rule number 5: Never ever deny Kim Seungmin, when he's having a clingy day… even if you were having an off day.
✦⭑⋆。˚꒰ა 🖤 ໒꒱˚。⋆⭑✦
Clingy days from Seungmin didn’t come often, maybe once every 3 maybe 4-ish months, at least that's what they gathered. Seungmin had always been respectful, polite, and followed all Chan’s rules. Chan would say out of all of them Seungmin is the most responsable, mostly quiet. Chan has never really had to tell him off or anything.
To Chan, Seungmin probably got the least amount of attention in general simply because if he's not telling Jisung and Hyungjin to stop fighting, he is either helping someone or working in the studio. And even when they all practice together, Seungmin rarely ever needs correcting. His dancing is already amazing (which made sense, considering he was in a dance club), he did his vocal training without much complaining (and even then it’s him complaining to himself about where he went wrong and how he wants to improve.)
Chan felt horrible though, knowing that he rarely gave Seungmin attention, he tried to make room for him specifically. Chan is always with the others or someone else, whether it's about working or trying to play a meditator, Chan is always busy and schedule wise? His calendar was probably screaming at him.
Chan always wondered how Seungmin felt, if he even noticed or if Seungmin still felt like he was trying to find his place.
But he got his answer the first time this happened…
✦⭑⋆。˚꒰ა 🖤 ໒꒱˚。⋆⭑✦
It was late Friday morning, almost afternoon. The schedule was surprisingly small today, dance practice for an hour and a half, vocal training for 30 minutes, and the studio for—well it said an hour but they always spend longer. All of them were either working on homework—Jeongin and Felix, doing more dance practice—Minho and Hyungjin, or in the studio—Chan, Changbin and Han.
Seungmin was lying down on his bed, covered over his whole body while he held a pillow in his arms, curled on his side facing the wall. He finished everything today and wanted to just scroll on facebook for a while and let his mind go numb for a little. But instead, he just wanted someone to hold him. He didn’t know why, he just…wanted attention, even if it was for a little.
He knew the others got more attention, it didn’t really bother him at first. It still doesn’t really affect him, he knows how it is, he can see why, the others are loud and open about a lot. That’s just who they are, and they’re all still teenagers, that teenage rebellion is still there. Seungmin isn’t an idiot.
But he wanted to cry for some reason? He didn't know why he was so emotional, only that it felt like if he wasn't going to be held he'd cry. It felt stupid and needed… and a little desperate, which he did not want to start!
He sat up a bit, pillow still clutched to his chest as he leaned down to bury his face in the soft pillow. He sighed, willing the tears back, he didn't want to feel this emotional. Maybe it was just all the stress from the everyday training and practice? That had to be it right?
He glanced over at his phone, would he be interrupting his Hyungs if he needed to talk to Chan? He didn't want to interrupt them or anything…
He grabbed his phone and got off his bed. Chan had told him when he joined to tell him if he needed to talk. Sure Chan could be intimidating, a little strict sometimes. But he knew Chan meant well!
He grabbed his jacket and shuffled over to grab his shoes but paused, he should be more open with his members… on the other hand what if they were really busy and didn't have time?
He looked between his bed and his shoes, times like this he wished he wasn't so indecisive.
He pushed forward, Chan didn't like it when they kept things to themselves and shut everyone out. Seungmin knew himself well enough to know he'd shut everyone out if he didn't talk now.
Slipping his shoes on and grabbing his jacket, he opened the door of his room, the sounds of Jeongin arguing with Felix over what he assumed was math, could've been science but he wasn't sure.
He walked out into the living room and slipped his phone into his pocket and put on his jacket, “I'll be back.” He called out, already halfway to the door.
He heard Felix and Jeongin mumble a goodbye before debating formulas. He walked out the door and headed down stairs. Hopefully Chan-Hyung wasn't too busy.
✦⭑⋆。˚꒰ა 🖤 ໒꒱˚。⋆⭑✦
When he got to the studio it was a little past 1 PM, he'd already headed up to the studio, standing outside the door he could hear Chan and Changbin laughing while Han grumbled about something.
Maybe now wasn't a good time, he shifted and stepped back, he could wait! Talk to Chan later.
He didn't want to interrupt them, they sounded like they were having fun, he felt like he would ruin it.
He suppressed another wave of tears that threatened to fall for no other reason than he just wanted someone to hold him. This felt stupid, should he really be here?
He shook his head and walked down the hallway a little. Maybe if he waited it out or went back home and went to bed early it would work, and tomorrow he'd be better and he wouldn't feel like crying.
He jumped a little and hid behind a wall when he heard the studio door open. He glanced out seeing Han and Changbin wave inside and walk the opposite way of where he was.
Seungmin sighed when they left and walked forward pausing just before he got to the studio door. Should he-
“Seungmin-ah?”
Chan's voice called out, confused. Seungmin looked up immediately, Chan was standing in front of him. He looked confused and worried. Shit.
Seungmin smiled sheepishly, well he did need to talk. Might as well stop overthinking.
“Min? I thought you and the others had already left.” Chan seemed worried, he looked down the hallway and the one behind him.
Seungmin felt bad, he didn’t mean to make Chan worried! Damn it. “Hyung-” he started, making Chan’s head snap to him. Seungmin tensed a little at the look Chan had. Chan always looked intimidating, but this was a look Seungmin wasn’t used to.
“We did go home- well me, Jeongin, and Felix. Minho and Hyunjin went to practice some more.” He fidgeted with the hem of his jacket, fighting the urge to cry and or hug Chan until the feeling left. “I just uh…I need to talk, I...I think?” Seungmin stopped, why was he stuttering? He didn’t stutter!
Chan now looked concerned and stepped aside so Seungmin could go into the studio, “Come in, Changbin and Han Will be back in like an hour.” He said softly while opening the door.
Seungmin nodded and walked into the room, and looked around a little, he’s rarely in the studio, he’s normally out training. He sat down on the couch and looked over to the door, which Chan had just closed and was walking to his chair.
“What’s wrong Seungmin-Ah?” Chan asked in a soft voice. Seungmin could tell Chan was trying to be careful and gentle, probably because Seungmin has never asked to talk or has come directly to anyone about something like this. Seungmin appreciates it.
He took a breath and started slowly, starting from when he woke up this morning, about how he felt, then when he got home, the feeling on his bed, and the need to cry or be held, about how indecisive he had been to even come here.
By the end of it Seungmin wasn't even looking at Chan, just the ground, like it was a mistake and maybe he should've just stayed home and-
Seungmin was snapped out of his thoughts by Chan sitting next to him and pulling him into a hug. Seungmin tensed for half a second then fully relaxed into Chan's arms.
He sighed softly and snuggled closer, was that all he needed? He felt like all this was dramatic…
“Sorry-”
“Don't apologize Seungmin.” He mummered softly, running his fingers through Seungmin's hair, while his other hand rubbed his back.
Seungmin slowly nodded, letting his eyes shut, “I don't know why I felt like this though…”
Chan nodded slowly, letting Seungmin lay on him, “everyone needs someone to hold them sometimes… it's okay if you feel like this.”
Chan paused when his shirt got damp, “wha- Seungmin what's wrong?” He adjusted a little to cup Seungmin's face with his right hand.
Seungmin sniffled a little, “I just, I don't know. I'm sorry, I don't know why I felt like this or crying i-”
“Minnie, hey, just breathe. In.” Chan demonstrated, just a little exaggerated, “Now out.”
Seungmin followed, and wrapped his arms around Chan, his breathing slowing down a little.
“I promise, it's okay. If you need this just ask, or just hug okay? I promise if you need someone you can hug me.” Chan said seriously, Seungmin nodded in response, looking at Chan through glossy eyes.
Chan paused a little, Seungmin looked like a sad puppy when crying, and it broke Chan's heart. He wanted to prevent this exact thing, he knew how this came to be, and he knew he needed to pay more attention to Seungmin.
“Hey.” Chan said slowly and softly, trying not to let his voice shake, “if you ever, and I mean ever, need a hug or just someone to hold you, come to me. Or one of our members okay? I will let them know okay? It's important to everyone that you know you feel loved and safe enough to come to us.”
Seungmin nodded a little, calming himself down. “I just… I felt stupid for needing this…”
Chan pulled him close, “you're not stupid Min, nor is the feeling. Stay for as long as you need.”
Seungmin relaxed, laying his head on Chan's chest, arms around Chan's neck.
Chan held him close, resting and letting Seungmin feel safe.
As the minutes ticked by Chan felt Seungmin relax completely, breathing easily. He didn't realize how fast Seungmin had fallen asleep on him.
Chan opened his eyes when he heard the door open, seeing Changbin and Han at the door staring at them, confused.
Chan smiled and whispered, “Seungmin just needed to talk.”
Han’s smile dropped as he frantically whispered, “is he okay? What happened? Do we need to call-”
Chan shook his head, “he's okay now. Just a clingy day.”
Han nodded a little, calming down as he set their food down. Changbin knelt down beside the couch, brushing Seungmin's hair out of his face.
“He looks like a puppy..” Han mumbled, leaning over to get a better look, almost falling in the process.
Chan rolled his eyes playfully, then looked serious, “New rule, if Min ever gets clingy, you do not deny him anything. That goes for everyone. Let the others know.”
Changbin nodded and looked up, whispering, “you want us to go?”
Chan looked at the computer screen from where he was laying down, then back at the sleeping Seungmin in his arms, “yeah, we’ll be okay, you and Hannie go ahead and eat. Let the others know Min and I will be late.”
Han nodded a little, “I don't think Min had dinner yet.”
Chan nodded a little, “I’ll make sure he eats”
✦⭑⋆。˚꒰ა 🖤 ໒꒱˚。⋆⭑✦
Seungmin woke up feeling warm, hearing the soft heartbeat underneath his head. He didn't remember much just that his head hurt, probably from crying-
When it hit him Seungmin sat up slowly and looked over to see Chan smiling softly, “Hey, Min.”
“Wha- how long have I been asleep?” Seungmin asked, slightly panicked, it wasn't often they got a free day and when they did he knew most of them liked to spend it all together.
Chan just smiled at the younger, he loved how expressive Seungmin was when he woke up. Chan could always tell when Seungmin woke up. “Around an hour and a half. Feel better?”
“A little… my head hurts a little though.” He mumbled out, he sighed when his stomach made an embarrassing growl.
Smiling, Chan sat up and hugged Seungmin from behind, noting, but not commenting, on how fast Seungmin relaxed into Chan's arms. “Do you want to eat first or eat with the group?”
Seungmin leaned back against Chan, he liked how calm he felt now, the feeling from earlier lingered, but wasn't as prominent.
“The group… I miss them.” Seungmin paused, the words slipped out before he could process them. Yeah, he missed them, but he didn't know it was enough for that feeling from earlier to surge forward.
Chan's grip tightened around Seungmin, “hey, Minnie? Are you sure you're okay?”
Seungmin took a moment before shaking his head, “I don't-”
“I know.”
It didn't take long for them to gather Chan's things and head out of the studio. Chan made sure to keep an eye on him, Seungmin could feel the older eyes on him as they walked out of the building.
The car ride to their shared apartment was short, but regardless Seungmin leaned against Chan, trying to once again ease the feeling of needing to be held.
When they got to the door Chan opened the door, letting Seungmin in first before closing the door behind himself.
The rest of the day went by slowly, Chan told the others what had happened earlier when Seungmin went to clean up. The others were rightfully worried about Seungmin, and agreed to keep him comfortable.
When Seungmin came out of his room Minho was cooking dinner, while Chan was keeping Hyunjin and Jisung away from each other to prevent an argument.
Seungmin sat down and Jeongin sat next to him and laid his head on Seungmin's shoulder. While Felix sat on his other side and pulled Seungmin and Jeongin into his arms.
Seungmin smiled a little and relaxed… he liked this… maybe being clingy was okay… but only every once in a while!
✦⭑⋆。˚꒰ა 🖤 ໒꒱˚。⋆⭑✦
The second time this happened is the reason why the rule existed in the first place. Chan had said it was a rule, but it was one that wasn't officially established in the dorm.
Seungmin felt it before he logically understood the feeling. It was an early morning, they had a busy schedule today, all day it was back to back, and the cameras everywhere didn’t help the situation.
Seungmin had woken up feeling emotional, the feeling wasn't like last time, last time it had been gradually building. This morning it hit like a train.
He'd gotten out of bed, half asleep, and made his way to Felix’s bed and climbed in, falling asleep as the older rolled closer, instinctively grabbing on and holding him close like a stuffed animal.
When he woke up Felix was already up, running his hand through his hair and rubbing his back, softly asking “you okay, Seungmin-Ah?”
Seungmin nodded a little shifting, his arms were around Felix's waist, clinging. “Sorry-”
Felix didn't even let him finish before he shh’ed Seungmin and smiled, “no apologies, Minnie. If you need this then you need it. I don't mind. Just don't sleep in Hannie’s or Innie’s bed. I heard they kick in their sleep.”
Seungmin huffs out a soft laugh, and nuzzles into his Hyungs arms.
When they eventually wandered out of their room they heard Chan snapping at Han and Hyunjin, trying to stop a fight before it escalated.
Seungmin sighed forehead against the back of Felix’s shoulder. The bickering quieted a little before it picked up a little, somehow louder than it had been at first.
Felix froze before they could step into view, “you wanna go back to our room for a little?”
Seungmin thought about it, he kinda wanted to be held by Chan again or even Changbin. But from the sounds of it Han and Hyunjin were probably in a mood or something… maybe it'll calm down-
“HAN, HYUNJIN! ZIP IT!” Chan's voice boomed in English throughout the apartment. Instantly the apartment went quiet and still. Like if someone moved, you'd be yelled at next.
Seungmin went rigged, logically he knew he wasn't in there, Chan wasn't yelling at him, Chan didn't know he was even standing there. But logic went out the window when his emotions started to default to “I'm sorry I exist”.
Tears started falling for reasons he could not explain at all, he didn't know why he was crying or why he felt like it was his fault. He held onto Felix trying to hide his tears.
He felt stupid, this wasn't like him at all!
He just nodded slowly against Felix’s back, now he wanted to go back to their room…eating could wait, he didn't need breakfast right now. He didn't have an appetite anymore. Despite his emotional state right now, it was normal, if someone yelled at him or just around them, Seungmin couldn't keep food down.
Felix turned and quietly led them back to their room, silently closing the door before the two climbed back into Felix's bed. Felix finally had a good look at Seungmin's face and turned immediately to concern, “Minnie? Hey puppy, what's wrong?” He cupped Seungmin's face and wiped away a few tears.
“I don't know- I just-” Seungmin made a sound that sounded like a whine, and was embarrassed, what was wrong with him?
Felix immediately pulled him into his chest and ran his fingers through the younger's hair, “shh, it's okay. Sometimes it happens, emotions can be hard…was it the yelling?” the older asked softly while rubbing a spot behind Seungmin's ear.
Seungmin nodded a little, slowly relaxing, arms around Felix, unwilling to let go.
“I can go get Chan-Hyung?” Felix offered a little, trying to help.
Seungmin shook his head, Chan was probably still dealing with Han and Hyunjin.
Felix hummed softly, trying to think of someone that Seungmin could cling to. “How about Minho-Hyung?”
The nod was immediate, although Seungmin wasn't sure why entirely…
Slowly, however reluctant, Seungmin let go of Felix so the older could go get their Hyung.
Felix slid out of his bed and Seungmin’s grip, he quietly padded out of their room and peeked into the kitchen, Chan looked like he was trying to calm down, Changbin was trying to ease the tension, Hyunjin and Han looked guilty, and Minho and Jeongin were just eating trying not to be awkward.
It wasn’t that Felix blamed any of them for Seungmin crying, he knew that sometimes you just can’t control it, and it’s not like anyone except him knew Seungmin was having an emotional day. if they did, maybe Hyunjin and han wouldn’t be fighting?
Felix shook his head and cleared his throat, everyone paused and slowly looked over like they’d been caught doing something they weren’t supposed to. Which, Felix considered, was fair.
Chan’s smile softened a little at the sight of Felix, “Hey, how’d you sleep-?” Felix cut him off by accident, it wasn't on purpose or anything, he just needed to get Minho to Seungmin before Seungmin cried again.
“Minho-Hyung? Minnie needs you.”
Minho froze, surprise flickering his face before standing up, concerned, “Is he okay?”
Chan’s brows furrowed, “Felix?”
Felix’s smile tightened a little, “Min’s having an emotional day, and he heard you yell… He knows it wasn't him, Hyung. It’s just…one of those days…”
Minho was already moving to Felix’s and Seungmin’s room’s. He knocked gently and opened the door, “Seungmin-Ah?”
Seungmin was already sitting up, holding a pillow, trying to hide his face. Minho walked in and sat down on the bed and smiled a little before pulling the younger one into a hug, “There you go, it’s okay.”
A few minutes passed, Seungmin’s breathing slowed, regulating so he would calm down. Then there was a knock at the door, Minho looked up to see Chan standing in the door, concerned outlining his face along with regret and guilt. “Is he okay?”
Minho nodded a little and nudged his head to the side, telling Chan to come in and sit. Chan sat down and hugged Seungmin from behind. “You okay Minnie?”
Seungmin nodded and relaxed more when Chan’s grip tightened a little, Chan smiled a little, “good.” He whispered slowly and rested his cheek against the younger's back. “I’m sorry about earlier.”
Seungmin sniffled a little, lifting his head from Minho’s chest to glance at Chan, “It’s not your fault Hyung…I know it wasn’t at me and it didn’t have anything to do with me. I just…I couldn’t stop the tears.”
“And that's okay, you don’t have to explain. We’re all here for you,” Chan explained gently while rubbing Seungmin’s side in soothing circles.
Minho continued gently running his hand through Seungmin’s hair.
“Can the others come in?”
Before Chan could answer, the door opened and Changbin’s voice echoed through the room, “I’d thought you’d never ask Min!” Changing wrapped his arms around Seungmin, pulling him from both Minho and Chan’s grip, “Mine.” He stated, playfully. And pulled Seungmin closer.
Seungmin let out a soft laugh that made the three smile.
Slowly everyone made their way into the room. Eventually they ended up moving to the floor so they didn’t break Felix’s bed.
All of them were in a pile on the floor, Seungmin smiled to himself and nuzzled into Changbin's chest, relaxing. Slowly he fell asleep in the warm pile.
Chan sighed softly, and ran a hand through Seungmin’s hair, “Just a reminder, Rule #5 still stands, regardless if you feel petty or feel like starting an argument.”
Small nods and agreements came through the room, before settling back into quiet.
Chan looked around at everyone before his eyes landed back on Seungmin. One day, one day Seungmin wouldn’t need to feel like this, he’d find a way to make room for the younger. He wouldn’t let him down.
One day.

Seungmin considered his question, the others seemed too busy talking to be paying attention to him, so honestly it wouldn't be too bad to go get some fresh air. "Sure. Sounds nice."
A/N: do I remember Kingdom? Eh-
Do I go back and watch it? No
Do I write completely random shit and hope it works out? Yes 😁
Also here's the link to the ao3 one if you prefer that! "why do you fear the stars?"
✦°̥࿐୨ ✧*。୧°̥⋆✦
The thing about everyone coming together and singing together is, you have to talk to them. And this normally wouldn't be an issue.
Seungmin normally didn't have an issue talking or even working with other people. He's gotten used to it over the past few years. But for some reason today felt weird.
He'd walked into the practice room with Felix, Jeongin, and Lee Know. He technically wasn't supposed to be in here, this was for the dance unit. But the other two he was grouped with were busy doing other things and they'd all decided they'd meet up in a few hours.
So Felix dragged Seungmin with them not wanting his dongsaeng to be alone. Chan had offered but Felix already had him half way out the door before he could agree. Oh well.
Seungmin sat near the door while watching the others warm up, he felt relaxed, but at the same time tense.
While everyone was busy, Seungmin got a text from Han with a picture of Chan and Hongjoong kissing in what looked like a closet. Ironic. Han had written “and these two think they're subtle and being all secretive.”
Seungmin almost laughed, Chan could never hide anything from them for long. Someone was bound to find out.
He heard someone laughing beside him, startled Seungmin, turned his phone off and looked up at whoever laughed.
“Don't worry, Hongjoong isn't subtle. I saw the texts a few days ago.”
Seungmin let out a breath of relief, “Hey San-Hyung.”
San smiled and sat next to him, “sooo~ what's Stray Kids puppy doing over here?”
Seungmin felt his ear burn, he'd been called ‘puppy’ plenty of times. Yet it still made him blush every time someone said it. “Jongho and Eunkwang are busy with other things, so Felix-Hyung dragged me with him.”
San nodded, looking around while everyone was laughing, talking, stretching or in Wooyoung’s case: talking loudly on the phone with Changbin. He smiled, “wanna go for a walk? It's kinda crowded here.”
Seungmin considered his question, the others seemed too busy talking to be paying attention to him, so honestly it wouldn't be too bad to go get some fresh air. “Sure. Sounds nice.”
The two stood and shuffled out the door, walking down the hallway that led to a small path around the building.
Seungmin smiled at the dark sky, it was pretty early, the stars were still out. Twinkling like they hadn't had a worry in the world.
The silence between the two was peaceful, but Seungmin could feel the awkwardness setting in. Which in all fairness was logical, he didn't know San, other than exchanging a few polite introductions, they never talked. It was fair, and honestly no one can escape awkwardness.
Except for Felix, he could probably make conversation with a bottle of water and it'd be less awkward than every social interaction Seungmin had had. Honestly, Seungmin didn't know how Felix did it.
Blinking out of his thoughts, Seungmin decided to start a small conversation, “Stars are pretty this morning.”
San nodded a little stiffly, “yeah… they're actually kinda bright this morning.”
Seungmin nodded, glancing over, was he really that weird? San seemed comfortable anywhere and seemed to make conversation easier with everyone… maybe it was him? Maybe Seungmin really was that awkward and San asked him thinking he'd say no?
“Uh- if I make you that uncomfortable, I can leav-”
“Oh- wait no!” San froze, eyes widening in horror, “im not-”
Seungmin paused too, blinking in confusion, he wasn't mad or anything, nor did he blame San. Honestly Seungmin didn't mind, it was fair, they didn't know each other, perhaps San asked out of respect for his other members?
“I'm not uncomfortable with you.” The older emphasized, he wasn't uncomfortable with Seungmin, just nervous, and honestly with the amount of googling he did a few hours ago about stars and the sky, and how it was supposed to be cloudy. It felt like the world was mocking him and his fear.
Seungmin tilted his head in confusion, if San wasn't uncomfortable then he was nervous. “Are you okay?” He asked softly, he was getting a little worried now. San looked like he was about to pass out.
“I just…” he glanced at the sky and went back to Seungmin.
Seungmin frowned a little, then his gaze softened a little, “why are you afraid of the stars?” His voice was softer than he thought it would be, but hopefully it was gentle and not too intrusive.
San paused, Minho was definitely right, Seungmin always knows. This kid…
San looked down a little and sat on the bench, offering the other side to Seungmin, who sat down quietly, and waited patiently.
“I'm not afraid of stars…just of what they represent.” San admitted quietly, it was stupid he knew that. But tonight he didn't exactly want to have hope or anything in case something happened…
The younger seemed even more confused, which, San unhelpfully but mentality noted, Seungmin has a puppy-like tilt when he's confused. Which was really bad for San’s heart right now.
“I don't get it? Stars are supposed to represent-”
“Hope, guidance, and a few other things.” San gently interrupted, looking down, knowing full well how this sounded.
“But I don't need hope right now,” he continued, stealing a look from the younger next to him. “I just… this isn't how I exactly wanted to do this… I don't want hope because then everything would be awkward and I don't need guidance for this because I know how I feel and if I don-”
Seungmin's eyes widened at the ramble, he caught all of it—thank god for Jisung and Changbin always talking super fast—but Seungmin still wasn't getting it, what did San mean feelings and hope? Was this about practice? Or was something going on in the dance unit? Did they have a fight?
“-which in all fairness isn't fair to you because we've barely even talked but my feelings for you just keep growing-”
Seungmin froze at that. His brain shut off and rebooted. This was a confession… oh-
Seungmin felt heat creep up his neck and onto his cheeks. This wasn't exactly what he thought. But it made sense and not only that but Seungmin couldn't stop the blush and the thought of San holding his hands. Which was very unhelpful at the moment because he wasn't supposed to be thinking about being in a relationship.
He was supposed to be thinking about right now and trying to calm San down and maybe talk, because Seungmin wasn't sure how he felt. He'd never been in a relationship before.
“San.” Seungmin called softly, which the older immediately shut up and looked straight at him. Seungmin almost chuckled, when had San gotten all red?
“I don't-” Seungmin could see San took that as the start of a rejection. Slightly panicked, Seungmin reached out and grabbed San's right hand, “wait please. Just…please listen.”
The older slowly nodded, eyes shining just a little.
“I've never been in a relationship, so I don't know how I feel.” Seungmin smiled shyly, while looking at their hands, “but I would like to try… maybe not like being official or anything but just…slow? Especially in our line of work I don't want us or our groups in trouble.”
San’s face flushed a little bit with a serious look, “I’d like that.. and I do agree with going slow… I never expected anything…I thought-”
Seungmin looked at the stars then back at San with a small smile, “it's okay to hope for yourself… it's okay to be a little selfish every once in a while.”
San’s body seemed to relax a little, taking his left hand and placing it over Seungmin's hands, “okay.” He said simply, and leaned closer, “wanna finish our walk?”
The smaller nodded a little, the two stood up, hands now to themselves as they continued to walk.
Slowly, San hooked his pinky with Seungmin's, and the younger leaned a little closer. Slow was a good idea… and maybe not telling their members at the moment was an even better idea.

Liminal Hours//Chan x Kenny
Date: Dec 18th, 2025
Prompt: Enemies to lovers/ University AU
Fandom: Stray Kids & 1VERSE
Where: Google
Genre: ???
Ship: Bang Chan x Kenny Hao
Summary: Chan rolled his eyes, “Wow, do I need to spell it out for you? I thought you were supposed to be smart.”
Kenny rolled his eyes back and muttered, “Don’t waste all your brain cells."
Taking a deep breath, the shorter looked up slightly, “I have class.” “Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Chan mocked and waved his hand in dismissal, “stay away from Seok.” He stated, as if it were a fact. Then walked off like nothing.
Kenny blinked in surprise. Why would he stay away just because someone said so? Chan, of all people, had told him that. Ugh- guys are so possessive over their crushes, that’s probably why. Chan likes Seok.
A/N: Yes, okay, another weird ship, my bad. But let's just not okay? Please enjoy, and yes, this is a university au. Also idk if Kenny has any siblings, soooo lemme know in the comments! Also, no one tell Kenny or Chan about this… Also, this started out as funny, and then it got serious because I apparently don’t know how to write a quick small fic ://
Not their real heights, Kenny is just a little shorter than Chan. Kenny - 5’5. Chan - 5’7
Also, idk how i didn’t notice this before, but Kenny looks like Seonghwa and Hongjoong’s son- guys help–
Also, yes, it's cringe, idk 😭 sorry it's another 3 am half asleep write :(((

Kenny was used to being picked on for being “weird.” he didn’t care, though. He loved being loud, funny, and smart - just being himself. Maybe he should care about the bullying, but it didn’t bother him as much as everyone thought, though. So, in general, not many words could throw him off; he’d been called a lot of names.
But there was one person who really just got on his nerves.
Christopher Bang Chan.
Just thinking about him made Kenny grit his teeth; it wasn’t his looks, or even how smart he was. It was how differently Chan acted when it was just them. Chan would always roll his eyes, threaten, and call him names. Kenny had been dealing with assholes his whole life. Of course he had! He lived in LA for God's sake!
He’s dealt with two-faced people for years, yet something about Chan made him want to just scream at him to shut up. Chan had started this whole petty bs around the second week of school. Good thing he did, too, because Kenny was almost charmed by the older, too. Till they were paired up for a small assignment, and he ended up doing all the work while Chan scrolled through his fucking phone. So he called him out on it and told him he wasn’t going to put Chan’s name on it since he didn’t do shit!
So, of course, now he's on Chan’s shit list.
But he wasn’t about to show that it affected him; it did, but he didn’t want Chan to win. No, he could deal with this! All he had to do was avoid him; honestly, he only has classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And only has two classes with Chan, Psychology on Monday, and History on Thursday.
Kenny sighed as he walked past Chan, hoping to avoid whatever insult Chan came up with today. Only to be stopped by Chan, “Hey, heard you got paired with Seok for Biology.” Chan said with a smirk, but Kenny shivered; the smirk Chan had given him didn’t reach his eyes. Chan’s eyes told him he was pissed, for what, Kenny didn’t know.
“So what?” Kenny replied, trying to steady his voice. He had a feeling Chan wasn’t really in the mood. Kenny didn’t like the guy, but they were both adults; some lines are too childish to cross. And Kenny wasn’t willing to be petty right now—mostly because he didn’t sleep much last night, and didn’t have the energy.
Chan rolled his eyes, “Wow, do I need to spell it out for you? I thought you were supposed to be smart.”
Kenny rolled his eyes back and muttered, “Don’t waste all your brain cells.” Taking a deep breath, the shorter looked up slightly, “I have class.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Chan mocked and waved his hand in dismissal, “stay away from Seok.” He stated, as if it were a fact. Then walked off like nothing.
Kenny blinked in surprise. Why would he stay away just because someone said so? Chan, of all people, had told him that. Ugh- guys are so possessive over their crushes, that’s probably why. Chan likes Seok.
Though if you asked him, that was very childish, this isn’t high school, what's wrong with communication? Don’t get him wrong, possessiveness is hot and all that stuff. But come on, what's wrong with flowers?
Okay, maybe he just wants flowers…
Kenny shook his head out of that thought and resumed walking to his class. Seok was nice and cute, too. Yeah, he can see why Chan would like him. But Chan was two-faced; Seok deserved better than that.
‘Unless Chan’s only an ass to you.’ His brain so helpfully supplied, because it was so helpful right now. Kenny had internally screamed at himself at that, because it really would be just his luck that Chan only acts that way with him.
When he finally got to his biology class, he sat next to Seok and leaned back in his chair. “I’m already done with today,” he commented and sighed, waiting for class to start.
“You know, normal people say 'Hi', 'Hello', or even a ‘How are you?’” Seok replied in a deadpanned voice, pulling out a notebook.
“Haven’t you heard? I’m weird.” Kenny smirked and stretched his arms back.
“Weird is an understatement,” Seok joked with a small smile, and slid a pencil over to Kenny. Already knowing the other didn’t bring one.
Kenny smiled and mumbled a small thanks and pulled out his own notebook. His eyes drifted a little, and he caught Chan from the corner of his eye, glaring at him from the door, before he stormed off. Weird, but then again, if Chan is so worried about someone trying to ask Seok out, maybe Chan should just ask.
Whatever, boys are weird when they have crushes. He should know, his ex told him he was too clingy and weird. But his ex knew that before they even got together, so that wasn’t his fault!
He sighed to himself, this semester was gonna be a pain in the ass.
⋆。˚ ☁︎ ˚。⋆
Monday late-night classes were weird, mainly because it felt like a luminal space– but that wasn’t the point! This class was only at night, and he had it with Chan. Maybe that's why Chan hated him, maybe they’d gotten off on the wrong foot that day because of how late it was?
Whatever it was, he wasn’t sure how tonight would go because Chan looked like he wanted to kill him a few hours ago when they passed each other in the hall.
Kenny walked into the classroom and sat in his usual seat, pulling out his psychology notebook and a pencil.
When a shadow fell over him, Kenny already knew before he looked up who it was. He cursed silently and slowly looked up, “Yes?”
“I told you-” Chan started, but didn't finish. Kenny cut him off with a hesitant cough and a slight look of panic masked with confidence.
“If you want Seok, just ask him out, stop trying to intimidate me, he's my biology partner! I have to sit next to him!” Kenny explained, trying to sound annoyed by it, only for his voice to crack a little near the end.
Chan stared at him in shock and then grabbed Kenny by the wrist and tugged him out of his chair.
Kenny yelped and stumbled as Chan pulled him out of the classroom, “Hey!” He pulled, trying to get out of Chan's hold, “let go-!” He struggled, damn, since when was Chan this strong? His muscles are kinda-
He shakes his head; he should not be admiring Chan while the man is doing this! “Chan, what the hell-” he caught himself on a table as Chan pushed him into an empty classroom and stepped in. Closing the door behind him.
Kenny froze, okay, he didn't mean for Chan to actually kill him! He meant metaphorically!
Kenny backed up, stumbling on chairs and tables a little before he hit the other side, back against the wall, “h-hey okay- look, what-”
“Shut up,” the older moved closer, now in front of him.
Kenny shut his mouth; he should definitely not be finding this hot right now! Chan is probably gonna kill him, and he's flustered because Chan looks hot and is basically checking off every box on his dream boyfriend… not good!
Chan leaned in, hands placed on both sides of him, “Why do you think I asked you to stay away from Seok..?” He asked, voice low, head down.
Why? Why did this feel like it came straight out of a cliche K-drama?! Or a dark romance?!
No, no, no, no, Chan is not here to claim him. Chan is here to keep him away from Seok because Chan wants Seok. Simple.
“Because you like Seok,” Kenny replied, looking forward, trying to ignore the blush on his cheeks and the small heat that built up.
Chan looked up, “You know, for someone so smart, you're a dumbass.” He moved closer.
“Wha-” Kenny's eyes widened as Chan's right hand dropped from the wall to his hip.
“You're mine, not Seok’s, mine. I don't share.” Chan murmured, grip tightening just a little, bringing them closer.
Kenny's face burned from how much he was blushing. What did Chan mean by that? How long has that been a thing? Why didn't he know about it? Are they in a relationship?
Chan leaned in closer, making Kenny's breath hitch. He couldn't think straight. Was Chan actually gonna-
"Is that why you've been a jerk to me?" He blurted out, before Chan could get closer. He froze, staring at the taller.
Chan paused, looking at him like it was obvious, "made you stay away from others."
NOW WHY'D HE SAY THAT SO CASUALLY?!
Kenny's face flushed red. I mean, this is what he wanted, right? This was what he wanted... Which brought on another set of emotions.
Did he like Chan? I mean, he thought he hated him! But lately, not so much, so many red flags, and yet he's still chasing them.
“You could’ve asked me out,” he replied, trying to not sound flustered. He looked down. He needed to gather his thoughts first.
Chan rolled his eyes, “What fun would that be?”
Wow, this man was really going to that line? So many red flags, really.
Kenny raised a brow and looked up at Chan, “Well, for starters, we could’ve been going out by now? Or at least had a date or two.” Chan was really talking like he had exactly two brain cells, which he knew was bullshit, because the guy was Aceing all his classes!
Chan sighed for what felt like the thousandth time already, “Look after what happened, it never seemed like a good time.”
Kenny considered it; that was a good point, even still. Well, not like it matters now, “Now what?”
“Go out with me,” Chan answered immediately, not a question, a statement.
Kenny didn’t even hesitate, “I want flowers.”
Chan blinked; all signs of possession and anger were gone, replaced with a look of shock and then amusement. “Flowers?” he repeated and then laughed, “That's all you want? That’s your condition?”
“Yes,” Kenny declared, trying to be serious, only to fail spectacularly by smiling, “all I want are flowers.”
“Done.”
Kenny grinned triumphantly. At least he was getting his flowers. Drama aside, maybe Chan wasn't a complete asshole.

Hey so I really wanna draw fanart for a ship, I'ma do just it extremely simple!!! But before I do that I'm not very good at art, and I've never done fan art before, but I would like advice as to how I could go about putting my watermark on there so I don't get it stolen (it's a fear even though it probably won't happen!)
Any tips??💜💜💜 (In general I'll take any advice I can for drawing and how to go about this!)

“HYUNG!”
The sound of Wooyung’s voice echoed down the hallway. Chan visibly tensed and sighed. Changbin had already fled out the door along with everyone else, well, except for Seungmin, who just rolled his eyes. He knew his group would be noisy today.
Today was the day; KQ and JYPE had finally agreed to a get-together, might as well see how, since Kingdom, both Atiny’s and Stay's had basically teamed up. And both entertainment companies loved the publicity.
What better way to kick off 2026 than to have two of the biggest K-pop groups do videos?
Chan looked over at Seungmin, who was currently on his phone. Chan frowned, “Don’t you wanna go catch up?”
Seungmin nodded and looked up, “They’ll be in here, in like, 20 seconds.”
Chan nodded; that was true.
Even from the hallway, Chan could hear the shouting, “Poor Joong.” He thought, trying not to laugh at the younger leader. From everything that he knows about Hongjoong, he knows the smaller is more than capable in handiling the groups. Ateez's chaos matches theirs in a way that would probably stupefy scientists and half the idol industry.
Though that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel bad for making him put up with 13 wild hooligans, maybe 12 if Seonghwa wasn’t joining in on the chaos that he knew was unfolding.
Chan stood, stretching and glanced over at Seungmin once again, “I’ma go save Hongjoong from that chaos.”
“Good luck,” Seungmin said, unwilling to look up from his phone, “oh, and don’t die out there.”
“Comforting, Min, very comforting.”
“No problem.”
Chan rolled his eyes, already moving towards the door to the hallway, he could practically hear Seungmin's smirk in the tone.
Chan opened the door to see his and Hongjoong’s members talking, yelling, comparing, and, for some unknown reason, Jisung comparing Wooyoung and Hyunjin. From the corner, Hongjoong was visibly malfunctioning, poor guy probably tried the Leader voice, and it backfired.
“Okay.” He whispered to himself, shaking his head, yes, they were all really close, had been, going on for 5 years now, actually. But that did not at all mean that they weren’t chaotic.
Chan shook his head yet again and maneuvered past them, seemingly unnoticed—they were definitely distracted then—then crouched next to Hongjoong, “Hey, let's go before we end up losing what little sanity we have left.” he stood and held out his hand.
Hongjoong’s head snapped up as soon as Chan started talking. “Yes,” He immediately took Chan’s hand, as the older pulled him up with ease.
Chan had definitely gotten stronger since 2021. Not that he totally doesn’t pay for Chan’s Bubble. Nope, not at all… Okay maybe–
Chan had yet to let go of the younger's hand as he guided him out the door, the honey-haired male just walked through.
Chan smiled, “Missed you,” Chan muttered softly, grip tightening around the shorter's hand, “I hate that we can’t talk more.”
Hongjoong nodded, blinking the tears away.
He and Chan had been together for about two years. After Kingdom, they kept in touch, talking, late-night calls while writing, just comfortable silence most nights, since Hongjoong didn’t actually like being alone in the studio. They’d opened up over those two years before getting together. When they did get together, touching had been a major concern for Hongjoong, but Chan loved hugs, hand holding, and kisses. Hongjoong worried that he’d be asking too much of Chan to hold off on that stuff.
It wasn’t that Hongjoong had anything wrong or that he had an issue; he just disliked physical touch, especially when stressed. He was okay with it sometimes, and his members respected that. Of course, Chan did too, which was why Chan always asked, let Hongjoong either tell him, or let him initiate anything. Hongjoong appreciated that, always had, Chan was always loving and gentle, never once tried suggesting therapy, or being “fixed”.
Hand-holding at the moment was okay; he was safe, calm—despite the chaos from both groups—and Chan was probably taking him to the studio.
Yes, no one actually knew they were together, nor did people even look into it—you know, minus a select few fans that wrote fanfiction or drew amazing fanart. But they couldn’t just come out and say it. There’d be so much drama that it wouldn’t be worth telling the world. They liked—loved—their privacy. Their members didn’t even know, which, all in all, wasn’t surprising at all; the past two years, both groups have been insanely busy.
When they reached the studio, the door behind him clicked shut, and the older opened his arms, asking softly. The shorter immediately moved forward. He missed Chan’s hugs; he wasn’t big on them in general, but it had been at least since August, right before he left for their tour for “In Your Fantasy.” A full 5 months since then.
“I missed you,” Hongjoong mumbled softly, tucking his head under Chan’s chin. He felt clingy, drained, and like he needed a 12-hour coma. Chan probably felt the same, considering the hug and the sigh he let out.
Chan kissed the top of his hair, inhaling softly, breathing him in, “missed you too, aegiya.”
The younger smiled a little, his heart still fluttered every time Chan called him that.
“Come on, we've got about 5 minutes of talking and cuddling before we have to go back,” Chan said with a sigh.
Hongjoong whined, knowing full well that that wasn’t going to do shit, but he felt emotional today, so who cares.
“I know.”
Hongjoong smiled and chuckled softly, “We got this.”

“Okay, really, don’t be difficult, Wooyoung.” Seonghwa groaned, looking at the whiteboard.
Said whiteboard had the dorms labeled, Stray Kids were sharing with them. Chan and Hongjoong were standing in front, while the other sat down like children in a kindergarten class.
There were four dorms:
Dorm 1: Bang Chan Jeongin Dorm 2: Lee Know Han Dorm 3: Changbin Hyunjin Dorm 4: Felix Seungmin
Hongjoong looked between the whiteboard and his members, “Okay, who wants to pair with who?”
Everyone started talking at once. Chan sighed, closing his eyes, while Hongjoong sighed and let his head drop.
Wooyoung, Mingi, Changbin, and Felix wanted to have a group thing all in one dorm. Seungmin and Yeosang just moved away from the group. San, Lee Know, Han, and Seonghwa agreed, somehow unchaotically. Yunho, Jongho, Jeongin, and Hyunjin weren’t even paying attention.
Chan opened his eyes, scanning and looking over at Hongjoong, which the younger was looking suspiciously happy with himself.
He took the marker and erased everything, “No complaining, alright?”
He heard huffed responses and uncapped the marker:
Dorm 1: Chan - Me (Hongjoong) Seungmin - Yeosang Dorm 2: Lee Know - Han San - Seonghwa Dorm 3: Changbin - Wooyoung Felix - Mingi Dorm 4: Jeongin - Jongho Hyunjin - Yunho
Hongjoong stepped back, “Lights out by midnight. If there is any screaming, yelling, fighting, loud noises, or anything that disturbs anyone, then you will pack up, and I’ll make you sleep in the practice room. Is everyone clear?”
Ateez nodded, sighing as they had already planned after midnight chaos, and it was taken from them.
Chan looked at his members, “Answer, he’s a leader, what he says goes for all of you guys.”
Everyone looked stunned but nodded. Hongjoong looked at his members, “Same thing for you guys.”
Chan stepped closer to everyone, “Look, this is how everything will be for at least the next three days and four nights. We need to all work together.” Chan shifted a little, glancing over everyone, “Cameras are going to be everywhere, so be careful, cameras go up at 7 am and last till 8 pm.”
Hongjoong nodded, “Chaos is okay for a little while, but it doesn’t need to be chaotic, especially since we have a little free time. Relax a little before the cameras go up. I know everyone is excited, just do what you normally do.”
“Remember to have fun,” Chan added softly, “I know this is going to be both new and familiar since we all spent time together during Kingdom. Get to know each other before you roast eachother.” He looked directly at Seungmin, who immediately looked away.
A soft laugh echoed through the practice room as Chan dismissed everyone so they could start heading out to the dorms and setting up.
Hongjoong smiled softly towards Chan.
Yeah, they got this.

“Channie-” Hongjoong whined as Chan took forever picking a movie. It was around 10 pm, and everyone was calm…ish.
“Calm down,” Chan chuckled, browsing the dvd’s they had, knowing the other members were probably on the streaming services.
Hongjoong sighed and turned to face the window, which was fogged up. He drew little stars with his fingers, running them along the glass like he used to back when he first met Chan. While recording “Playing With Paint,” He’d sat near the window during a break and drew stars.
The smaller smiled softly at the memory. Hearing a laugh and arms around his waist, Hongjoong moved closer automatically, “If I could, I’d steal the stars for you…” Chan whispered softly.
“That's cheesy,” the younger laughed a little, looking up softly. Though he knew it was true. Chan would do things like that if he could.
Chan could be a little intense sometimes, not that he minded. Chan was just… Chan was possessive in a soft way. If the younger read a hate comment and was close to tears, Hongjoong would just remember Chan’s voice whispering that they didn’t matter. They weren’t the stars.
Chan’s nickname for him, since, well, since forever… “My star.”
Hongjoong didn’t mind, for once, he turned off being an idol, and just let himself exist in his boyfriend's arms.

“The flowers died Monday.
The ones you left last week. I kept them though, roses are beautiful even dried. I'll continue to keep them as a reminder of you.
I never thought I'd be writing this, at least to you. Though no one else exactly knows.
But I miss you, for some reason.. I love the way you talk, the way you protect me. I don't understand, I used to be terrified. I'm not anymore
I found out who you were, the Wednesday before last… I was just processing, I wasn't mad.
Why haven't you been around? You used to come everyday and leave notes, sure they terrified me at first, but you even said you'd keep writing.
I waited for you yesterday, and the day before, and even the day before that… I don't even know what I was waiting for.
Have you moved on?
I hope you haven't…
I know what they say, and that it's wrong, it's fucked up. But maybe I'm fucked up?
Because I'm going crazy just sitting here, watching my windows, looking at the door, waiting for you to magically show up! Or just drop a note somewhere, anywhere!
I don't know what you did to me, or how you did it, but you did it, you win! Okay, just…
Come back.
You can't just disappear. Not after everything that happened. You're the one that did this…
I didn't go to the police like I threatened, but you said that it didn't matter. That one day we'd be together, and I'd see it one day…
I believe you now…
I keep imagining us together… I can't stop you're everywhere you're in my dreams, my thoughts, everywhere I look.
I get it now, the obsession… the stalking, I get it…
Please come back, Minho…
We can be together forever after that, just like you wanted…

But that didn’t explain why he had to leave all his friends in Korea. It was summer! He was supposed to be out playing video games with his friends and having sleepovers! Not being the new weird kid in the neighborhood.
Jisung sat at the swings kicking at the woodchips that sat beneath his feet, his parents had told him and his brothers to stay together and explore, maybe meet a few people, handed them $50 and shut the door. His older sibling smirked and had dropped him off at the park and said, “Stay here until we pick you up!” And he didn’t get the chance to protest before his sibling started walking off.
He’d huffed, and looked around at all the kids, some were playing tag, going down the slide, hanging off the monkey bars, others playing games he didn’t recognize. He sighed, he wanted to go back home and just sleep, or even be on his phone. Still, he knew better than to wonder off, especially since he didn’t know the area, or even his new address. So he just went for the swings.
When the kids passed him, they gave him weird looks, one tried talking to him, but he had no idea what she said. He just looked at the girl and looked confused and a little sad and said softly, “Sorry, I don’t know what you said…” After the girl shrugged and skipped off, Jisung sighed. “Would’ve been helpful if someone told me they don’t speak Korean," he mumbled and looked down.
He didn’t know how much time had passed, all he knew was that he was tired, and really wanted to go home. What he didn’t expect was the squeak of metal next to him, someone sat down next to him. He glanced over hesitantly, a tall boy with short brown hair was looking curiously at him.
The boy looked a few years older than him, but Jisung couldn’t tell if he was about to be bullied, or befriended. He didn’t have a bad feeling, but the boy's eyes looked like he was analyzing him. He couldn’t place him, the boy didn’t look like all the other kids that were at the park earlier. “Can I help you?” Jisung hesitantly asked, it was highly unlikely the boy would understand him, but hey, not like he could say anything else.
The boy paused and grinned, “You speak Korean?”
Jisung blinked in confusion, “Yeah-! Wait, are you from-?” Jisung asked, suddenly extremely happy.
“Mhmm! Well, kinda, my mom is from Korea! Anyways, I noticed you’ve been sitting here for like, a whole two hours!” The boy with brown hair practically shouted with a big smile and gave Jisung’s belly a weird feeling.
He must be happy to meet someone that understands him! His mom and dad had said that once, so this is what they must have been talking about!
Jisung nodded a little embarrassed, “yep, just moved here- like a few hours ago.” jisung explains to the older boy.
“Well I’m Jiyong! Nice to meet you!”
“I’m Jisung, nice to meet you too!” Jisung smiled, finally sitting up straight. “What grade are you in?” Jisung asked, he looked older, but maybe they could go to the same school when it started.
“I’m ten so I’m in 5th grade!” the boy, Jiyong, said proudly.
Jisung nodded, “I’m seven! And will be 8 in September!” Jisung smiled, okay so not the same class but maybe the same school!
“Cool! You can call me Hyung, squirrel.” The older teased, smirking very smugly and the way Jisung only proved his point by puffing up his cheeks.
“Hey!” Jisung started but only ended up laughing.
Once they settled down, they began talking a bit more, Jiyong told him that he’d be moving soon and he didn’t know why. And Jisung told him everything from his pet rock to how his siblings both bully and protect them (“I guess it's a sibling thing?” they both came to the conclusion.)
When the sun started slowly going down Jiyong looked around, “Where’s your parents?” he asked, confused at why the smaller is alone.
“They sent me out with my older brothers, and they dropped me off here at the park and said they’d come get me…” jisung shrugged and swung a little, looking down, “I was gonna go back before you came over, but since we just moved here..” Jisung’s voice trailed off.
Jiyong's eyes widened, “Okay- uh!” he glanced around, slightly panicked, “okay can you wait like 5 minutes?”
Jisung looked up at him confused, “Uh-” then looked up at the sky, then back at his new hyung, “...Yeah..just five minutes right?” he asked cautiously.
“Yeah, really fast! Promise!” he held out his pinky finger.
Jisung hooked his own pinky finger with Jiyongs and smiled softly.
Jiyong paused, looking at Jisung and nodded before sprinting off, Jisung, for his part, took a deep breath and gripped the metal chains on the swing. He’s never been out this late before, he never wanted to be. The dark was scary.
Every few seconds he looked over in the direction where Jiyong went. Hoping that he’d come back.
It got darker really fast, Jisung could feel his heart pounding, the park felt different now. It didn’t feel like a fun place, like a place kids could come and play! Is that normal? Or was his seven year old brain just playing tricks on him?
Minutes felt like hours, soon though he heard footsteps, then it sounded like people running. His heart rate spiked, who was that? What was happening? Was it a monster?!
“Jisung-ah!”
Jisung looked up, “Jiyong?!” he yelled, and immediately winced at the tremor that was in his voice. Weren’t boys supposed to be strong and not scared? Ugh-
Jiyong appeared in front of him, his hands gently grabbing his wrist and pulling him close. Jisung felt something funny in his belly, like butterflies, weird. And his face felt hot, again weird? He pushed the funny feeling away when he heard Jiyong’s voice, “Hey stay close, kay? It’s dark.” Jiyong gently tugged him along with him, Jisung nodded and followed the older.
“Jiyong? Did you find him?” A woman’s soft voice echoed through the area.
“Yeah eomma!” Jiyong answered back, and glanced back, “I got my eomma and appa. They’ll help.”
Jisung let out a soft breath of relief, letting Jiyong lead him to the older’s parents.
Jiyong’s mom smiled the moment she saw Jisung — that warm, mom-kind-of-smile that instantly made your chest feel lighter. She knelt down to his height, brushing her short hair back behind her ear. “Aigoo, you must be the new neighbor Jiyong’s been talking about already,” she said softly, her Korean laced with a gentle Malaysian accent. “You were out here alone?”
Jisung nodded, cheeks puffing out again without meaning to. “My brothers were supposed to pick me up… but I think they forgot.”
Jiyong blinked, confused, did siblings forget each other often? That sounds weird.
Jiyong’s dad chuckled and ruffled both boys’ hair. “Alright, alright. Let’s get you home, little man. You can tell us where you live, yeah?”
That’s when Jisung froze. “Uh…” he started, his voice going small. “I don’t know the address…”
Jiyong’s mom just smiled again, patient. “That’s okay, sweetheart. Do you remember the name of the street? Or what the house looks like?”
Jisung’s brain scrambled to remember. “Um… big tree? Red car? A dog that barks a lot next door?”
Jiyong’s dad snorted softly. “That describes half of Ampang.”
Jisung’s face fell, and Jiyong quickly bumped his shoulder against his. “It’s fine! We’ll find it. My eomma and appa are the best!”
Jisung smiled, cheeks slightly red from the wind.
Jiyong grinned, glad he made the younger feel better. He squeezed the younger's hand a little, trying to reassure him.
The walk through the neighborhood was oddly peaceful. Streetlights flickered to life one by one, casting soft gold halos over the uneven pavement. Cicadas sang from the trees, and somewhere in the distance, someone was frying something that smelled really good.
Jiyong’s mom kept glancing back to check on them while Jiyong swung their linked hands like it was some kind of game. Jisung wasn’t sure if it was comforting or embarrassing. Probably both. Yeah, most likely it was both.
After a while, he suddenly pointed. “That’s it!” he said, spotting the house — or, more accurately, the glowing windows and the familiar car parked out front. “That’s my house!” He smiled widely
Jiyong’s mom looked relieved. “Perfect. Let’s make sure your family knows where you are.”
As they reached the door, Jisung’s heart thumped nervously again. He could already hear his mom’s voice inside, scolding his brothers for something. He turned to Jiyong and whispered, “What if she’s mad at me?”
Jiyong whispered back, “Don’t worry, the sound is probably because she's worried about you.”
Jisung slowly nodded and slowly lifted his hand to knock on his door.
The door opened before he could knock. Jisung’s mom appeared, eyes wide–slightly teary, phone still in her hand. “Jisung!” she gasped, “My baby!”
Before Jisung could say anything his mom was pulling him into a tight hug, Jiyong's hand slipped from his. “I’m okay eomma…” he hugged back.
Jiyong’s mom smiled and gave a polite bow. “He was at the park. We found him and wanted to make sure he got home safely.”
Jisung’s mom sighed, shoulders dropping in relief. “Thank you. So much. His brothers are in big trouble.” She sniffled a little, calling Jisung's dad over in relief.
“Sorry, eomma,” Jisung said sheepishly, but he was still smiling.
His mom shook her head and cupped his cheeks, “It’s alright Sungie, you didn’t do anything wrong.”
As the adults exchanged a few more words, Jiyong leaned close and whispered, “Guess we’re neighbors now, huh?”
Jisung nodded, grin returning full force. “Guess so, Hyung.”
Jiyong smirked. “See? I told you everything works out!”
And just like that, Jisung’s chest didn’t feel so heavy anymore. The weird new place didn’t feel so weird, and the night didn’t seem so dark. For the first time since moving, Ampang felt… less intimidating…
⋆。°✩☾✩°。⋆
The month had passed by fairly quickly. It was weird, Jisung had never found a friend this quickly! Normally it took a few weeks, or even months. But Jiyong had just slipped past whatever it was that made him awkward. Whenever Jisung was awkward Jiyong would giggle and help Jisung out, never once making fun of him.
The two were practically inseparable, everyday they’d meet up at the park—if it was raining they’d be dramatic about it the next day when they saw each other—they’d talk about random things, Jisung introduced him to his favorite stuffies (“Sir, snugglesworth is very clingy!”). They’d even talk about the weird things that happened at home, Jiyong had told him that his parents told his older brother was in something called an “arranged marriage” and they both had their guesses about what that meant. “Well I know marriage is what eomma and appa are doing! I think it's like playing house?” Jisung smiled and tilted his head in confusion, “I don’t know what the word “arranged” means though.” Jiyong smiled, “I remember that one! It was in my spelling words last year! It means like it's set up already- at least I think, I don't remember much of that, I fell asleep.” he casually said as he licked his ice cream. Jisung laughed, “Hyung! School is important!” “Yeah yeah yeah!”
Now they were sitting back on the swings talking, “I heard my eomma and appa talking last night…” Jiyong said sadly, pushing the woodchips underneath his sneakers.
“What about Yongie-hyung?” Jisung asked, suddenly worried, Jiyong never looked sad.
“Summer’s coming to an end soon, I’ll be moving either tonight or tommorrow… My appa said it was important.” Jiyong went to hold the youngers hand, sighing, “I don’t wanna leave you.”
Jisung’s breath hitched, feeling his eyes water, “Wha- leaving?!” Jisung felt hot tears roll down his cheeks.
Jiyong’s face went from sad to panic, “Jisungie! Hey!” he blinked and stood up pulling Jisung up and hugged him, “Hey, it’s okay. It happens, our- our parents are friends right? They’ll stay in contact! Right? That's what adults do?” He cupped Jisung's small face and wiped his tears softly.
Jisung slowly nodded, slowly opening his eyes to see Jiyong looking at him with wide panicked eyes, “What if they don’t?”
Jiyong frowned, “I- I don’t know…” the older blinked back tears of his own at the thought of never seeing Jisung again. Then an idea popped up, “what if we get married?”
Jisung tilted his head in confusion, “married?”
Jiyong nodded excitedly, “yeah! Your parents are married, and my parents are and my older brother is! And when you're married they stay together forever. Right?”
Jisung sniffled and smiled brightly, “So if we get married you can stay? Or like- if you go, we have to come together right?”
“Yeah!” Jiyong smiled, “Married people always come back to each other, they always come home to each other!”
“Okay! We can do it under the swings where we met!” Jisung smiled, wiping his tears with his free hand as Jiyong happily tugged him towards the swings.
The two boys faced each other and Jiyong hummed softly, looked around and smiled, “Wait one sec!” he let go of Jisung’s hand and sprinted towards the field. Jisung tilted his head in confusion.
Jiyong grabbed a lot of dandelions and sat down weaving and twisting the steams like his mom taught him, then got up running to a rose bush and grabbed two of them and ran back over, panting slightly “here!” He held out the two items.
Jisung took the first one, “It's so pretty! It’s made of flowers.”
“It’s a flower crown! My mom always calls me a prince! That makes you my princess! And every princess has a crown, and roses!” Jiyong smiled widely.
Jisung wiped away happy tears, and put on the flower crown and took the roses, “I love them! I always wanted to be a princess! They’re always so pretty!”
Both stood there for a few seconds, Jiyong took a deep breath, “Okay so from all the movies and tv I watch, there always needs to be something called a witness! Which means someone needs to watch.”
Jisung nodded, thinking back to all the tv hes watched, “and another person needs to stand right there,” jisung points to the spot in front of them.
Jiyong nodded and looked around, and saw a few kids, “Hey guys!” Jiyong asked to switch from Korean to Malay easily.
Jisung giggled softly, looking around, there were butterflies and white birds flying, Jisung felt like he was in a disney movie.
Three kids ran over, and Jiyong talked to them, and the three nodded and introduced themselves.
The two girls sat down to the right of them and the boy stood to the left of them, smiling and saying something, rubbing the back of his head. Jiyong translated for Jisung smiling, “He said he doesn’t know all the words, but he knows the most common things they say on tv.”
“That's perfect!” Jisung said, smiling. And thanking them.
The two girls giggled and held up their small phones asking if they could record.
Both Jisung and Jiyong nodded, not thinking anything of it. All weddings had cameras!
The boy said a few words and Jiyong said, “I do.” and then both looked at him and he nodded happily, “I do!”
The boy grinned and happily said something in Malay that jisung assumed was the whole, “i now pronounce you married” thing.
The girls giggled and asked a question and Jiyong looked panicked, Jisung looked at him confused, “What’s wrong?”
“A princess needs a ring- oh!” relief flooded Jiyong's face as he took off his necklace and unhooked the latch, sliding the beautiful dark metal off the silver chain. He held out his other hand, “Hand please.”
Jisung felt that weird thing in his cheeks where they warmed up, weird, but he ginned happily and placed his hand in Jiyongs.
The older smiled while he slid the dark ring onto the smaller second to last finger, which from tv they called the ring finger.
Jisung's eyes widened, “Whoa…it's a dragon!”
“Yeah!” Jiyong put the chain in his pocket and shrugged, “My family’s symbol? I think it’s called. My appa said to never lose it, so now it’s ours.”
Jisung smiled and wiped happy tears from his cheeks, “It’s so pretty Hyung..”
The girls giggled and whispered and then both of them made a kissy face.
Jiyong leaned in and kissed his hand, “There! All sealed! I’m yours and you're mine!”
Jisung smiled and immediately hugged him. “I’m super happy..”
Jiyong hugged him back, “I’m happy too…”
An hour later Jiyong and Jisung were back on the swings, the other three kids had gone home already.
Jiyong gently held Jisung's hand, “If I don’t show up tomorrow… don’t forget this, or me. Let's meet up when we're older.”
Jisung nodded and looked down at the ring on his finger, it was big, but he’d put it on a chain at home and wear it everywhere. “Promise? My prince.” Jisung teased, giggling.
Jiyong grinned, “Promise, my princess.”

Seoul, Korea
August 4th, 2022
Jisung groaned at the sound of his alarm going off and knocking on his door. Why did the universe hate him?
He rolled over and turned off his alarm and called out in a sleepy voice, “Hang on!”
He whined, why was sleep impossible? He’d been studying most of last night, yes he was off because of summer vacation. But he was bored and didn’t wanna waste money, it’s hard to find a job on campus.
He sat up and stretched, his pj’s lose on him as he stood and sleepily shuffled to the door, with a soft but audible “Who is it?” crossing his arms, shivering as a weird feeling dropped in his stomach.
“Mail.” the person simply answered, their voice was sharp, straight forward.
Jisung paused, “Mail goes in the mail box.”
“Its a special case..” the voice paused and stopped talking.
Jisung took a deep breath, suddenly wishing he had a peep hole in the door so he could see. He opened the door and there, was a man dressed nicely, and spoke easily, “This is for you Mr. Jisung.” and handed him a wax sealed envelope, with a dragon on it. Why did the symbol look so familiar? Weird.
Jisung slowly took the envelope, glancing around and then looking at the guy in the suite, definitely tall, skinny but built. And Jisung thought he looked and gave off the same vibe as Sebastian from black Butler.
“Who still uses the envelope system?” Jisung asked rhetorically, and nodded, “Uh- thanks for bringing this to me.” the Sebastian vibe stealer, nodded and turned on his heel and walked down the halls and away.
Jisung just sighed and shut the door, walked over to his table and slowly opened his envelope, and began reading it.
“To Han Jisung of Seoul,
By decree of His Majesty’s Royal Council of Haneul, you are hereby summoned to the capital within seven days to discuss the status of your union to His Royal Highness Kwon Jiyong, the Crown Prince.
Records and surviving witness footage confirm your exchange of the Heir’s Dragon Signet fifteen years prior, constituting a lawful marriage under Article IX of the Royal Matrimonial Charter.
Failure to appear will be considered ab
dication of your claim as Consort of the Crown.”
He read it once, twice, thrice, hell whatever the fuck was times a million. And dropped the letter onto the table and laid down on his couch, “...nothing's ever going to let me sleep. Is it?” he asked himself then shrugged, “Sleep first, panic later.”
Jisung pulled the blanket over his head and snuggled into the couch, this was future Jisungs problem.
⋆。°✩☾✩°。⋆
Jisung blinked awake, he felt warm, refreshed, and finally ready for the morning—well afternoon now.
He sat up on the couch and rubbed his eyes, yawning and stretching, finally, some peace and quiet. He glanced down and saw the letter, smile fading, right, that thing. He slowly reached for it, but paused halfway to the table, “maybe food, shower and coffee first…” he muttered, and then nodded to himself, "Definitely coffee before royally screwing myself over…”
He pushed the blanket off himself and stood up, stretching again, taking as long as humanly possible to get to his room, take a shower, get dressed, and go to the kitchen to at least make himself coffee. So instead of it taking his normal 10 to 15 minutes to do all that, it took around an hour. (His poor water bill was going to be so high this month because of that.)
When he finally sat back down, he stared at the letter hoping, wishing, and praying that this was some kind of joke, prank, or anything in between. He shut his eyes again, thinking maybe by some miracle it would disappear. It didn’t.
He groaned, and finally picked up the letter and re-read it, once, twice, a third and forth time just to be sure!
A summons…because he was legally married…
To a prince…
At seven…
Fifteen years ago…
Seven!
Should he be screaming? Crying? Happy? Scared? Or E all of the above?
He turned it, no return address, nor did it have directions. Great! Yeah, because having directions to a place you’re being summoned to would be so inconvenient!
Seven days? He has a week to go to a place he didn’t even know existed a few hours ago, not only that, he has to find out how to cope with the fact that he's been married since he was seven, so yeah, what a great day.
He tossed the letter back onto the table and covered his face with both hands. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Would researching this place or Jiyong’s name make him panic? Or make him feel better?
Jiyong…
He hadn’t thought about him in a while… that's what was best, digging up his name meant digging up memories, memories meant he’d miss him… and now, at twenty-two, it felt silly! He's an adult now, college should be his main goal, his main focus, yet here that letter sat. Apparently Jisung really was his princess, and Jiyong kept his promise.
Jisung’s hand moved to the ring that he’d kept on a chain since that day, and shut his eyes:
“If I don’t show up tomorrow… don’t forget this, or me. Let's meet up when we're older.”
“Promise? My prince.” Jisung teased, giggling.
Jiyong grinned, “Promise, my princess.”
Jisung felt a small tear roll down his cheek and whispered, “Promise.”
⋆。°✩☾✩°。⋆
Forty-eight and a half long hours later, Jisung was slumped in an airplane seat somewhere over the Mediterranean, halfway to a country he hadn’t even known existed three days ago.
He’d spent the first few hours after receiving the letter in pure denial and panic. The next three to four? A deep-dive internet spiral worthy of a PhD thesis. Apparently, Haneulria was a small but ridiculously rich coastal kingdom tucked between the Mediterranean and the Black Seas — known for its dragon crest, outdated marriage laws, and equally outdated expectations of royal behavior. To which he’d backed up and almost panicked if that meant he couldn’t see Jiyong because they’re both male. (Not that outdated, they’re with the times thank god.)
Then came his panic phase: eight hours of crash-coursing the language, customs, government structure, and royal etiquette. (“Bow 45 degrees, not 90, or you might offend someone and accidentally start a war,” he’d mumbled into a YouTube tutorial at 3 a.m.)
After that, things got messy. Booking a last-minute flight. Selling off what he could. Packing half his closet, while panicking trying to remember where on earth he put his passport, (somehow it ended up in a Danganronpa backpack??). Calling his mom, his manager, and Chan — all of whom had different but equally unhelpful reactions ranging from “Are you sure it’s not a scam?” to “WAIT—LIKE THE Kwon Jiyong?!”
And now, here he was. Plane humming. Brain fried. Life in shambles. Married. To a prince.
He took the chain around his neck off and slid off the ring, looking at it, smiling faintly before putting it on the same finger Jiyong did fifteen years ago, underneath the swing set they met on.
He shut his eyes while leaning against the window, exhaling slowly. “Yeah,” he muttered to himself. “Totally normal Tuesday.”
⋆。°✩☾✩°。⋆
By the time the plane landed Jisung’s back was stiff, he had a headache and was trying to remember why he dreamed in a different language. After blinking and looking around at the few people that were shuffling around, grabbing luggage from overhead, the memories from the past seventy-fourish hours came flooding back in. Right.
He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. Well, it’s time for the most dramatic/life-changing event that's going to happen for at least a while. Jisung slowly followed everyone, grabbing his backpack that had a few clothes, hoodies, an extra pair of shoes, phone, phone charger, headphones, his toothbrush and hair brush, and just in case… the letter.
As he exited the plane he pulled his hoodie up, he’d only gotten a letter, he didn’t know if they’d even told people what was going on. So just to be safe, he hid his face and walked towards the front doors.
As he stepped out he paused to look up at the beautiful sky. “Whoa…” he muttered under his breath, slowly turning, trying to think. Where the hell was he supposed to go? It’s not like they told him where to go, nor did they say anything about meeting.
Okay, so he had time, I mean the letter said he had a week and it had been a little over three days, maybe he could explore a little before trying to do anything. I mean if all goes to hell at least he’d have pictures and have a few good memories of this place.
So he started walking, he couldn’t spend much, the plane ticket cost a lot of his savings (he almost cried), so he wouldn’t eat or do much except take pictures and maybe sit down on a bench.
The buildings looked old, though it was obvious it was well kept, like people actually took pride in their businesses and homes here. It was really refreshing if he was honest. He moved to the side walk and stretched, he really should stop falling asleep on planes, “You’d think I’d learn from when I was younger.” he mumbled to himself, chuckling as he adjusted his bag.
This was the first time he actually got to calm down and slow down to think about everything. And wow, he felt like he was in a K-drama… did he really just jump on a plane for a guy he hasn’t seen in fifteen years? The character he’s always yelled at when reading or watching on tv. He felt like a cliche… “Wow, I really did do that.” He mumbled and huffed out a laugh.
He didn’t even think about what Jiyong would look like, the thought of even looking at a picture of Jiyong when he was researching, didn’t even come to mind. Maybe that was stupid? Oh well, honestly, if anyone even calls his name here, he’d duck, cover, and run. Because how was he supposed to face Jiyong? After fifteen years, not to mention the fact that he was royalty… Royalty!
He’d met a prince! Not to mention he’d met a queen and a king- oh god he hadn’t even thought about that! Nor the question of why the hell Jiyong was even in Malaysia at the time. He hadn’t questioned any of that stuff when he got the letter, now he was.
Jisung leaned back against one of the buildings he was in front of, holy hell, he needed to chill. It's been a long 3 days, and he should probably eat soon.
He shook his head and took a long deep breath, “Don’t panic,” he said reassuringly to himself. Closing his eyes for a few minutes, his joints ached from the position he slept in on the plane, and his headache had gone from a dull throb, to a soft pounding from his overthinking.
Once he opened his eyes, he straightened out and started walking again. Flags waved in the wind, the flags were beautiful and simplistic. A silver dragon spiraling around a blue sun.
Jisung paused and looked down at the ring, the dragon was twisted around the dark metal, the same kind of dragon that was on the flag.. Jisung inhaled a sharp breath without meaning to, wow, he’s basically been branded for fifteen years and instead of being freaked out about it, his cheeks decided to flush, while his heart started beating faster, and joining in on it, his stomach felt like it had butterflies again.
Well possession is a new thing he didn’t know he liked.
Jisung had decided he’d take that new found thought, and place it in the back of his mind, like he didn’t know about it again.
Continuing on his path, Jisung pulled out his phone and paused to take a picture of the pretty and well kept buildings, along with the flags.
About an hour later he’d come to what looked like the main circle of town, there were hundreds of people, some selling, some buying, some trading, while others walked and talked, and the kids played. It looked like something out of a movie, it was amazing.
Everything here looked… Peaceful…
Even if everything ends badly, or there are issues, or legal drama, he's still glad he came. The scenery was so surreal, it was easy to tell that people were taken care of, that people weren’t hiding anything big. These people were genuinely happy…
“Jiyong, your kingdom is beautiful..” he thought to himself, as he slowly made his way through the crowd of people, making sure not to trip or run into anyone.
Though apparently he wasn’t careful enough, because not even five seconds later, Jisung felt someone run into him. Stumbling over he caught himself, scraping his hands and knees in the process.
Jisung immediately turned to apologize and saw it was a little girl. The crowd had froze, staring at the both of them. Jisungs eyes widened, “Ohmygodimsosorry!” he rushed out, turning and standing, while stumbling a little. He immediately held out his hand to help the little girl up and make sure she was okay, “Are you okay? Are you hurt? I’m so sorry.”
The girl, and other people around them, looked surprised to see a tourist know their language. The girl nodded, and slowly took his hand and smiled softly, “It’s okay, I’m the one who should be apologizing.” She stood and rubbed the back of her head, a little embarrassed. “ I should’ve been looking where I was going. Are you okay mister?”
Jisung nodded, and she looked down at his hands, “You sure?” a woman called from the crowd, stepping forward, smiling softly at the young boy.
Jisung chuckled and nodded, “I trip a lot when I’m at home, I’m used to it.”
The woman nodded,“I’ve never heard a tourist take the time to learn our language.” She smiled.
Jisung blushed, a little embarrassed, most of the kids and adults went back to chatting, others still watched, just not as obviously. “I like learning.” Jisung said simply. He wasn’t entirely sure if they knew everything yet, hell, he didn’t even know everything yet.
Jisung looked over at the girl again, “are you sure you're not hurt?”
The girl nodded, “Yep! You're cute, where are you from?”
Jisung flushed at the compliment, “oh uh- Korea.”
Both the woman and girl smiled, “Ah, here to visit?” the older asked.
Before Jisung could answer her question, a bell rang, startling him. The two across from him smiled, “Ah! The prince is coming out for his daily walk.” the woman said smiling, “he’s quite nice, and lovely if you ask me.”
The girl nodded, “Yes, yes! Unnie! Great idea!”
Jisung’s eyes widened, he could feel his heart start rapidly beating in his palms—or was that just from the scrape? Regardless, what if said prince sees him? First off Jisung looks like the definition of scatterbrained college drop out/runaway. And second, seeing him now, now that it’s real? That was terrifying.
By the time Jisung had made up his mind and decided to hide, the crowd was already parting, smiling, and greeting the man just a few feet to the left.
Jisung froze, messing with the ring on his finger, twisting it back and forth… he had a choice, stand here like an idiot and let Jiyong see him, not be a coward and face him and have a very public announcement, or just be a coward and run… the clock was ticking…
⋆。°✩☾✩°。⋆
Before Jisung could even decide to do anything he heard the girl gasp, and the woman looked confused. Jisung looked up and saw her staring at the ring, the woman followed her line of sight, gasping just like the younger.
A few people did the same, parting for him, opening a path that led directly to the prince… Jisung froze as the crowd went silent, their eyes wide, whispers dying in their throats…
Oh fuck…
Jisung's breath hitched when he saw Jiyong standing there, eyes locked on him…
Jiyong looked a lot taller… same dark brown hair, trimmed, but more suited to a prince. Less messy. Clothes neat and stain free.
Jisung gulped, “what the hell I'm I supposed to do?! I panicked too long again! This is real life, not a K-drama! There is no cut scene to take care of a situation like this!!” Jisung's headache ever so helpfully intensified, as his brain very helpfully supplied, “oh god, he's hot now.” He flushed, face heating up as if the universe just shoved fifteen years of memory and hormones at him all at once.
He blinked once and heard Jiyong's voice… soft, not too deep, like he was trying not to scare him off, “Jisung..?”
Jisung nodded dumbly, because what else was he supposed to do?
Jiyong crossed the road in a few strides and pulled Jisung into his chest, “holy shit..” the older whispered into the shorter’s hair.
Jisung's breath hitched, tears flooded his eyes before he could stop them. All his panicked thoughts had faded, from his head, replaced by one thought, “I'm home.”
His arms tightened around Jiyong instinctively, heart hammering, tears pricking his eyes. Fifteen years of missing him, fifteen years of wondering, and now he was here, finally, in Jiyong’s arms.
“Your Majesty-” one of the assistants called out, taking a step forward.
Jiyong turned and gave him a look and turned back cupping Jisung's face, “hey,” he whispered lowly, “let's continue this in the Palace.”
Jisung nodded a little, “just don't let go.” He whispered. This felt unreal… fifteen long years and he finally… he's finally back in Jiyong’s arms…
Nothing else mattered anymore.
“Never again,” the taller muttered, pressing a small kiss to his forehead.

Yall- I love my siblings I do... But whoa, my older is a Stay and my little brother is an ATINY... And uh- I'm both? But what's weird is every time I even try to like, talk with them about Ateez or Skz, they don't wanna even talk, they end up ignoring me :/ I'm just confused if I'm the problem? Because they love talking about Ateez and Skz. Any advice or idk- is it just me?
