*About the ending:

Returning to the amusement park isn’t meant to suggest that everything was just a dream—it’s more about showing that, after everything has settled, he’s finally able to return to a normal life.

Karasuma Renya’s character design references James Moriarty from the novels. The final scene is also intended to echo Sherlock Holmes’ plunge into the waterfall with his adversary—except this time, he ultimately runs toward the light and emerges on the other side. After all, May 4th is both his birthday and the day Sherlock Holmes fell from Reichenbach Falls. This parallel might be subtle, so I wanted to clarify it explicitly.🙏
