Haru, who barely had any female friends before, Started showing feelings for Elie about 50 chapters in and they got married with a kid.
Shiki, WHO NEVER INTERACTED WITH HUMANS BEFORE, confirmed he had feelings for rebecca in 250 chapters and then got married to her and had a kid 40 chapters later.
Yakuto blushed when Frey said she wanted to hug him (she has feelings for him) IN 19 CHAPTERS AND HE BARELY CARES ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT GOD.
And then we got Natsu who's still acting like a 10 year old, getting jealous from time to time and sometimes being a perv AFTER 700+ CHAPTERS. natsu and lucy have the best romance i have seen in anime (og series only) and they arent even canon. This isnt even counting the fact that all of the others are teenagers and natsu is frickin 21.
MASHIMA WHAT ARE YOU DOING
Look I love unconditional devotion love stories as much as the next person, but there's really something so deliciously raw about conditional devotion.
I have served you and I have loved you for decades, but I will not give up my principles for you. You cut out part of my heart and took it with you down that path that you insist on walking, but you walk it alone. Even when the bleeding, gaping hole you left in my chest kills me, I will not follow you.

Twice a year in Hawaii the sun passes directly overhead and objects cast no shadow. It’s a phenomenon called “Lahaina Noon”
You're full of shit, Hawaiians are just able to levitate coconut milk.
not she berry or he berry but no berry
and that is berry good
Im enjoying the longevity of tumblrs recontextualization style of humor. a seemingly innocuous post followed by like "posts that a gnome would make" or like "are you a phone"
More from the notes:
I love this post

Tag yourself as this list of “bad art” features, according to a twitter fascist
“Never Forget” until the new target is those that they disagree with.
Edit: please watch this video essay by Jacob Geller. It speaks on really important points as to how “bad art” is a weapon of fascism and how it reflects the Degenerate Art Exhibition(s)
i love my fans 💚

she's been trying to guess my gender for 3+ hours so now we're talking about eels 💚
Honestly the "when do you plan on" is so hilarious to me, for no particular reason
It's like "Oh yes, I need to schedule my next four months, I guess that the first week will be dedicated to being a 20% normal scuba diver, the next one I will be a 10% normal mountain goat" and so on and so forth
i love my fans 💚

Me in 2006: I’m still bitter about that
Me in 2016: I’m still salty about that
Me in 2026, probably: I’m still umami about that
Well, are you?. We’re waiting.
There’s a lot to be umami about these days.
Sick list of symptoms bro. Now try humanizing your behavior instead of pathologizing it.
Pathologizing: Hey sorry I yelled at you. I have this ADHD symptom called RSD that makes me really sensitive.
Humanizing: Hey, I’m sorry that I blew up like that earlier. In the moment I felt really attacked and overwhelmed and I reacted badly, but I know you didn’t mean to offend me with what you said, so that behavior is on me.
Because I just saw a post bitching about this one, I want to add: this post is saying that you need to take accountability for the way you hurt other people, even if it happens because of a symptom of your disability/illness. It's also saying that using terms (especially acronyms) that aren't common knowledge isn't a helpful way to explain yourself. It is NOT saying that you need to let people walk all over you because "your disability isn't an excuse."
If you're diabetic, you don't have to eat the honey glazed ham that will send you into a coma (their example). But you also can't yell at the person offering it and accuse them of trying to kill you. You can just say "thanks, but my body can't handle that kind of sugar intake, so I'll pass"
If you run over someone's foot with your wheelchair you still apologise
Shout out to my mom who explains my transition as "Having a daughterpillar turn into a Boyterfly". It doesn't erase the fact I was an adorable little girl, and also affirms my gender now. I love my mother.
i think one of the best parts about being a teenager in the early to mid 2010s was that cigarettes were definitely not cool anymore and vapes hadn’t popularized yet so my lungs made it out of my peak impressionable years relatively unscathed
what are your top 10 manga characters
Ohhh, fun question! Let's see...
10. Son Gohan (Dragon Ball Z)
My first crush in life. The amount of times I drew him as a kid is insane. He feels like a childhood friend.
9. Giorno Giovanna (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
Golden Wind changed me as a person. I felt an insane connection to this character. The design, the character, the setting, the Stand– everything about him is insanely endearing.
8. Oscar François de Jarjayes (Lady Oscar)
They truly just don't write characters like her anymore. The daughter of a general who wanted a son, raised as a boy, captain of the Royal Guard at just 14 years old. The way she navigates the french aristocracy while also dealing with her issues with her identity, and the societal boundaries she exists within will never fail to amaze me.
7. Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)
This man is an icon of a main character. His nonchalant personality coupled with his kind and loving nature makes him stand out in the horde or anime protagonists, to me.
6. Kuroko Tetsuya (Kuroko no Basket)
He means so much to me. What a deeply emotional character. Physically frail, but with a will of steel, and an incredibly strong foundation as a person. He pulls everyone in, because they are drawn to his light.
5. Ciel Phantomhive (Kuroshitsuji)
This boy's story will haunt me forever. The innocent child who suffered horribly, who grew up too fast in order to survive, who hides behind his aloofness, but is really incredibly kind. He made a deal with the devil, and by God, I will see it through with him.
4. Mikasa Ackerman (Shingeki no Kyojin)
The woman, the icon, the legend. Inspirational. No words, Mikasa Ackerman as a name is a statement in and of itself.
3. Akutagawa Ryuunosuke (Bungo Stray Dogs)
This fuckass kid grew on me like a fungus, and now I cannot rest until he has found meaning in life and reached self-actualization by forming a sense of worth independence of fucking Dazai Osamu of all people.
2. Eren Yeager (Shingeki no Kyojin)
I am not emotionally ready to talk about Eren. I may very well never be. Reach out to me again when I'm 80 and in my death bed.
1. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
The Queen herself, Titania. Genuinely one of my favorite characters of all time. Firstly, she is an incredible display of a special magic power used intelligently because the woman herself is incredibly smart. Secondly, her backstory being tragic as hell, but leading her to become strong and kind instead of cynical is so powerful. Also, the narrative consistently stays true to her core values and doesn't betray her character for plot points, or shock value, or worse, a man.
Thank you, Erza Scarlet, you're an inspiration 🙏
