they released raf's pv a few hours ago, I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you this.
ngl, I'm SO curious about how the next few days will play out now...
firstly, this is an overall positive for the boycott, because it means that infold has not changed their schedule yet again (after all, cs insisted that raf would be dropping in august, but they could've dropped a rerun or something else, but they didn't).
this ALSO means that the whole "qixi multi dropping without valko because he's deleted and dismantled and recycled" was ALSO a FUCKING LIEE. and now it's a confirmed lie. so please, DO NOT LISTEN TO RUMORS THAT ARE TRYING TO GET YOU TO PANIC.
they said valko's wu story would be gone, it isn't. they said in-game messages about valko would be gone, they're not. they said qixi multi will drop without valko. IT DIDN'T. this is GOOD because we KNOW that infold had obviously planned on doing a qixi multi as always, but they're delaying it because valko would've been in it. I repeat. THIS IS GOOD.
I'm also really curious about the situation rn in cn, I can imagine the fight that's about to start. after all, cn girlies who are NOT maining raf have to celebrate qixi, an important festival in china, without their mains now, when usually we'd get a multi so that everyone will be happy. I doubt solo stans in china would've pulled or spend money on raf anyway, but I can imagine that they're pissed anyway.
now, this goes out to all raf mains. I'm going to repeat what I've said before, but now that it's confirmed that your man's myth is next, I think it's important to say it once again.
I'm not going to ask you to skip out on raf's myth entirely. of course, if you yourself are able to do so, I'd be very thankful. if you need to watch / read the story, I'm sure it'll be available on youtube soon after its release. however, I do understand that it's not a simple thing to just skip out on raf for some of you.
the only thing I'd personally ask of you is to not spend money. that's crucial for the boycott and you'll still be able to get the cards in a f2p way if you have the ressources saved.
now, of course nobody should go and attack raf mains who will pull for his myth. it'll only drive us boycotters further apart, it's unnecessary. raf mains *are* facing a tough decision here, because while yes, raf's myth will rerun next year, it'll still be a long wait until next year.
all I'm asking is to not spend money.
also, I don't know if this will reach the "protect raf's myth" crowd, but I want to address you, too.
nobody is doing this to ruin your personal fun or ruin rafayel. this isn't about him, and this isn't about you, this is about the unfair treatment that caused valko's cancellation and about fighting for the devs' vision, the same devs that were also behind this myth.
I feel like I especially get a say in this, because valko's cancellation and the boycott fucked me over back to back to back.
I'm a caleb, zayne, and future valko main (although I realized that only after being in the trenches of the boycott for so long lol, he grew on me quickly). here's all that I missed because I'm boycotting:
zayne's current promise. I didn't buy secret promise (I only do once I reach 30 to at least guarantee r0 of a card), so I won't get his card r3 ever, maybe not at all, because promise reruns SUCK. and I really wanted that card.
caleb's solo. my plan was to collect 100% of his cards, the only ones I was missing were painful signal and tainted cuts, since I joined right as catch-22 ended. I have all his promise cards and every other card that I could get though, this was the first one I had to intentionally choose to miss, and it hurt. yes, I was hurt by the censorship on the jersey and text, but it still hurt (especially seeing how his solo didn't even manage to reach 500k in revenue, like I'm happy for the boycott but MAN)
I feel like this should get its own mention, but I also therefore missed caleb's solo event, which, you know, doesn't rerun. so there's just piece of lore that I won't have access to on my account, unless infold finally decides to make deepspace voyage useful
zayne's heartfelt gift. probably the one that hurts the least since it's a free card, but I was robbed of a normal promotional cycle for his heartfelt gift. we never got an official pv for this (I don't count that leak account that deactivated soon after, this is not what normal promo looks like).
zayne's goa rerun. I literally planned to pull on it. I had a guarantee (now gone since the history resets after 180 days, which I think expired for me this month? so yeah, I lost my guarantee AND my low pity, I had like 20 or something if I remember correctly). I really wanted to r1 him, and I am thankful that I was at least there for his original run and got him r0, but it still hurts, because I know that r1 would've made a difference on my account, and I'm a battle girlie.
zayne's birthday. unless this situation will get addressed before his birthday (who knows??) I'll just... miss it. the card will rerun next year, I know, and with it I'll also get to experience the event story, BUT I'll forever miss the plushie if they won't address the boycott soon. and maybe that's silly to some of you, but it really hurts. I do have fomo, somewhat, but especially when it comes to things that I actually KNOW will have a very slight chance of ever returning. and I kNOW that this plushie is a "if you miss it it'll be gone forever" kinda deal, and I hate it. I want to play the game like normal, I want to be there and have fun and think about how zayne's bday is coming up instead of looking at revenue data and looking at infold's socials.
technically I also missed out on the wiw rerun and zayne's moonlit dream, but I want to be fair and honest here, I never planned on pulling for it anyway. last year I already made my list of reruns I want to pull for (since reruns are expensive for me) and wiw never made the list, so I wasn't bothered by it personally. but I know that some zayne mains were waiting for it, after all, that was a highly anticipated rerun.
I'm also not going to mention valko, although I think it's obvious that I was robbed in that regard, too.
of course, I understand that just because I managed to boycott even with how much I had to miss / was robbed off experiencing normally, I understand that it's still a huge ask for raf mains.
do not attack them if they pull. pulling in and of itself isn't the problem here.
all I'm asking is to not spend.
and if you really do have to spend, wait until the last few days🙂↕️
I'll be praying that raf will come home in as little pulls as possible though🫶💕
