Anyways, wishing ya'll a bloody good day, drink some water fellas..ᐟ.ᐟ
Every year since 2023, I've done this. And now it's time again! I'm posting this already in april so that people interested can have plenty of time to start getting inspired.
These prompts can be used for anything you like: Writing, art, edits, simple headcanon posts... ✨vibes✨
You can choose to do something every day for a month, or just do a couple of prompts that interest you. There is no rule to actually post the prompt on the specific day either. Just do in whatever order you like, and do what you feel like.
You might already get inspired by some prompts, but if there's a certain prompt that you have questions on, I'll give a full rundown of all of them under the cut + some explanations/suggestions for them <3 (you can of course ignore my suggestions/explanations entirely and do your own thing! It's all free!)
Have fun! See you in june! <3
1. Two moms
Some people have two moms! If this is about two women who are about to be moms, about the kid living with their two moms or maybe someone from an outside perspective of the family is completely up to you! <3
2. Prideful baking
A popular prompt from previous years! Are they baking for a pride event? Are things getting fruity in the kitchen? We'll see...
3. Secret
What is the secret? Someone's crush? Someone's identity? Or is it... something completely else? Up to you to decide!
4. Sleepover
Things can get quite... intimate... at a sleepover. Especially when you're both the same gender and one of you is crushing on the other.
Though it could also be a very platonic sleepover where something else happens. Maybe someone comes out! Or maybe it's a queer group having a movie night and sleeping on the floor! Anything can happen at a sleepover!
5. At a pride parade
What happens at the pride parade? Did someone get lost in the crowd? Has someone painted the flag wrong? Who do they meet? Which people go together?
6. Two dads
Some people have two dads! If this is about two men who are about to be dads, about the kid living with their two dads or maybe someone from an outside perspective of the family is completely up to you! <3
7. Alternate universe
What if there was a universe where they were the opposite gender? Imagine an AU where they got together with someone else. Or MAYBE they live in a fantasy world now, or live in the modern era! So much possibilities with an alternate universe!
8. Coming out
It can be scary... but it can also be one of the bravest things you can do. Who did they come out to? How did they react?
9. Early signs
Sometimes you look back at your childhood and realize... there sure were signs :,D So, let's dig back into someone's childhood and see some moments. Or, why not see this from an adult's perspective seeing themselves in a young kid.
10. Everyone knows
The question is... WHAT does everyone know? And is there still someone who DOESN'T know? How did people figure it out if no one told them? Or HAS someone told them? What if everyone knows except for the person, or several people, involved :o
11. Pronoun change
You may notice some prompts are similar, and that's mostly in case someone wants to do a similar concept with several things and don't want to decide on just one. Maybe you could use the "coming out" prompt for someone coming out as gay and then this one for someone coming out as trans. Or have BOTH prompts be trans coming outs. Or: this is not a coming out at all, just someone updating about their pronouns and it's no biggie!
12. No labels
No labels on the relationship? No label on your identity? No label on lunchbox? You decide!
13. Alternate time period
Imagine if they fell in love, but it was 100 years ago... or 300 years into the future. Imagine if they were as gay as they are now but it's the 1960s on a roller rink. There's a lot of concepts to be made!
14. Crush
To have a crush can be nice, but also dreadful. Who's the crush? Do you think they feel the same?
15. Confession
Is it a love confession? A confession about their identity they haven't told anyone else? A confession about what they did last summer? A confession that yes, they were the one who ate up all the chips in the cabinet! So much to confess!
16. Are they dating or not?
SERIOUSLY!!! WE NEED TO KNOW!! Shenanigans ensue to find this out!
17. Proposal
Will they say yes?
18. Wedding
They're gonna tie the knot and live happily ever after! Unless you're someone angsty (though I myself don't want to be so angsty in pride month, but everyone is different!)
19. Party
Anything can happen at a party. Secrets can be revealed. If it's a "grown up" party maybe some things will be said during the influence of something...
OR it's just a pride themed party and everyone is having a gay old time and no drama happens at all!
20. Song
A song can mean so much. Maybe it's the song that helped them realize their true feelings for something or someone. Maybe it's the song that's "their" song. Maybe it's someone serenading someone else? It's up to you to decide!
21. Date
What are they doing on their date? How's it going? Are they nervous or have they gone on dates before? Or maybe you mean date as the time of day! The date was June 1st!
22. Are they gay or not?
Well, we can't just ask. So we need to speculate and find clues until they reveal the answer for themselves.
23. Gender
What even is gender? Let's ask Judith Butler /j
Is the person exploring their own gender? Or their attractions to other genders? Is it the gender of a baby that is being born, or the gender of a pet?
24. Catching up
This can be a friendgroup who haven't seen each other in a while meeting at a café and see what everyone's up to. Maybe a catching up to someone you haven't seen since you graduated. Oh! They have another name now! Sweet!
Or... maybe it's just a daily catchup about their day to someone.
25. Friends
Friends are there when you need them the most. Friends can be your family sometimes. Maybe this is about queer friendgroups hanging out, or maybe it's someone seeking comfort in their friends after a bad experience. Friends are never far away! (reference from G3 My Little Pony if you can believe it)
26. Travel
Who's out travelling? A gay ol' friendgroup on a roadtrip? Two women on their honeymoon? A solo trip for someone trying to find themselves?
27. Reunion
Is it a family reunion? Friends reunion? A reunion with the past and the present (what do I know, maybe you're someone who likes to do time travel and let younger and older people meet). Is it a school reunion where they discover some people are totally different now?
28. Rainbow
It can be a symbolic rainbow. Or a literal one. Maybe a rainbow flag. Maybe the rainbow is the friends we made along the way.
29. Family
Families can look all sorts of ways! It could be a queerplatonic couple who raise foster kids together. Three dads and a little girl. A group of people who are just roomates in one giant house.
But maybe this is a story about someone's biological family who they need to visit after coming out. Or it could be someone finding a new family that they choose for themselves.
30. Future
What does the future hold? Do they grow old together? Do they keep in contact? How far into the future do you want to go?
This is a homebrew pantheon made for my crossover of The Arcana Game x D&D.
[Part 1 ]
The Lovers snake their way up the hearts of people and hold them together, letting them beat in unison. The primal force that drives life forward is love, be it for another person or for yourself. The Lovers see strength in relationships; don't weaken them by choosing your allies poorly.
Alignment: L/N
Main Domains: Peace
Sub Domains: Love, Communication, Union
Race: Fey
Symbol: Two Snakes, Swords/Spades, Sunlight
Other: The Lovers oversee unions (be it marriages or business partnerships); their followers act as mediators who take care of the balance and order of those connections, for example by counselling, resolving conflicts, providing guidance.
The Chariot is forged from focus and rigorous self-discipline. They are an unstoppable force that hurtles towards victory, ready to take it at all costs; embracing every challenge and overcoming each obstacle that blocks their path.
Alignment: Any
Main Domains: Tempest, War
Sub Domains: Inspiration, Work, Passion
Symbol: Cheetah, Chariot, Shield
Other: The Chariot is a patron to sportsmen, gladiators, and other performers of dangerous arts alike, encouraging discipline and confidence - there are festivals and games held in their name. Their followers are both fighters and strategists. Offerings at The Chariot's shrines are mostly made of weapons, shields, or other valuable tools and personal items.
Strength is quiet; she hides in the shadows cast by the hearth's fire and curls up in the warmth of people's hearts. To lure her out of the mellow one needs to be patient; she will show herself when she is most needed, all she needs is trust.
Alignment: Not E
Main Domains: Twilight
Sub Domains: Serenity, Hearth, Warmth
Race: Celestial
Symbol: Lion/Lioness, Flowers, Infinity
Other: Followers of Strength nurture their relationship with their deity through meditation despite not getting answers straight away. It is commonly believed that she is the mother of sorcery. Her shrines are placed within settlements, often between buildings; offerings include fruit and woven flower crowns or dried bouquets. Dried fruit or flowers can be carried around as protection charms.
In the darkness of night the lantern of The Hermit shines bright, silently guiding the souls lost deep in the wilderness. In the Heart of the forest, he speaks through the rustling of leaves and the chirping of crickets. You're here to listen and feel.
Alignment: N
Main Domains: Nature
Sub Domains: Solitude, Druidic Practices, Light in Darkness
Symbol: Bear, Lantern, Staff
Other: Followers of The Hermit have a lot in common with the druids - they worship nature as beings that are a part of it, existing thanks to it and taking care of it. Their practice is deeply personal and has no defined structure; it mostly involves self-reflection and self-improvement. They're stoic philosophers, lone wanderers, protectors of the wilderness.
The Wheel of Fortune never stops spinning, powering the endless karmic cycle, guarding the fate of all living beings. You can take control, become the blacksmith of your own destiny; and if you fail, you can start from the beginning.
Alignment: Any
Main Domains: Forge
Sub Domains: Wildfire, Fate, Runes
Symbol: Sphinx, Wings, Wheel
Other: Being blacksmiths of their own destiny, followers of the Wheel of Fortune work with metal, the fire coming from their passion and determination. They practice fortune telling from rocks/crystals and self-made dice or pendulums. The Wheel of Fortune is closely related to the runic script, which is commonly carved into armour for good luck.
Finally, another part! It took me so long because I had to focus on uni, sorry! Once again, I want to thank @qqilxe for beta-reading these posts and helping me out with the details.
Feel free to share your opinions and suggestions, be it in the comments or my ask box; I'm more than happy to receive feedback!
This is a homebrew pantheon made for my crossover of The Arcana Game x D&D - but since it's all Tarot cards, people who don't play the game can also use it as reference!
I have prepared the following information for each of the Major Arcana:
Alignment (G - good, N - neutral, E - evil, L - lawful, C - chaotic)
Main Domains (for clerics)
Sub Domains (some attributes could relate to different schools of magic, druidic paths, or simple day-to-day matters)
Race (if they aren't dual and can be only celestial, only fiend or only fey)
Symbol
Other information (prayer methods, offerings, etc.; all depends on the deity we're talking about)
If you remember my M6 builds you may have noticed that I have classified some Arcana as different beings (The High Priestess being a deity and The Devil being a fiend). It was not a mistake.
I took into consideration the Upright/Reversed meanings of the cards and how both can be represented at the same time. Due to their duality as gods, I decided that they could appear/present themselves as both celestials and fiends (so that both clerics and warlocks could worship them or make deals with them, mechanically speaking). Some Arcana leaning more into the Good alignment could be only celestials, some leaning towards the Evil alignment - only fiends. And some who are sitting nicely in the middle and not budging either way; they could even be fey.
The Fool can become whatever it needs to be. They are the infinity of possibilities; a shadow cast by moonlight, a reflection at the edge of the lake, a vague shape painted on a blank canvas. They do not have a voice, but use yours. They do not have a body, but mold themself into your likeness. As the guide to all travellers, the Fool encourages to take a leap of faith and trust your instincts.
Alignment: TN
Main Domains: Life
Sub Domains: Travel, Guidance, Wild Magic
Race: Fey
Symbol: Dog, White Rose, Wind Rose
Other: Travellers mark their presence on guideposts for good luck, either by making small cuts into the wood or leaving trinkets. The Fool does not need a permanent shrine - they hate to linger in one place for too long.
The Magician is the mastermind of wizardry, weaving illusions and enchantments like a colorful, kaleidoscopic tapestry. The unreal becomes real, true becomes untrue; desires fuel creation, imagination sets the limits of conjuration. The Magician is a cunning fox that asks questions instead of answering them - try not to get tangled up in lies and search for your own truths; possibilities are infinite.
Alignment: CG / CN
Main Domains: Arcana, Trickery
Sub Domains: Magic, Creation, Focus
Symbol: Fox, Infinity, Elements
Other: The worship of The Magician is deeply personal and can be invisible to an untrained eye. Tricksters, illusionists, and secretive spellcasters keep him to themselves and the privacy of their own minds; he could be hiding under the shrines of other gods, lurking in the crowd or appearing in dreams, speaking in riddles.
The High Priestess guards the gates towards the realm of dreams and mystique, letting in only those who have mastered the way of connecting to their intuition. She keeps watch over the shadow of the material world and the secrets your mind keeps away from you. Her presence lingers under your skin and guides you forward.
Alignment: LG
Main Domains: Arcana
Sub Domains: Divination, Mysticism, Femininity
Race: Celestial
Symbol: Owl, Triple Goddess, Crescent Moon
Other: Believers search for The High Priestess in meditation, sleep, or elvish trance. Her visions come to them more gently than those of the Magician, yet they are just as puzzling; her favoured are prophetesses and fortune tellers.
The Empress nourishes the life in the world around her, from the smallest of sprouts to the tallest of trees. She oversees the material plane with motherly care and whispers kind words to strangers, connecting families and creating communities. Beware of the enhanced impressions she creates of others; you can give them all that you have, but you won't always get the same in return.
Alignment: Not E
Main Domains: Peace
Sub Domains: Fertility, Enchantment, Connection
Symbol: Cattle/Cow, Crown, Wheat
Other: Farmers and villagers sacrifice food (grains, dairy products, white meat) around sacred trees. In return, The Empress grants them bountiful harvest. Charity work tends to be dedicated to her.
The Emperor stands tall and steady with his empire at his feet. Destiny is built upon a foundation of experience and observation, strategically placed brick by brick, stable and secure; he gathers it in one place for his children to seize. With his authority, The Emperor can either guide his children towards greatness or use his iron fist to keep them in place.
Alignment: L
Main Domains: Tempest, Knowledge
Sub Domains: Pride, Guidance, Mentorship
Symbol: Cattle/Bull, Crown, Scepter
Other: Scholars and strategists seek divine knowledge in The Emperor; they gather every piece of information in libraries acting as shrines and write autobiographies. Upon a worshipper's death, their autobiography is burned along with their body, so that the knowledge within it stays between the deceased and The Emperor.
The Hierophant's voice is carried with the tongues of orators and storytellers, weaved into the myths and legends of the land and immortalised in archives. Tradition is the key to improvement, whether by being cultivated or burned and rewritten anew.
Alignment: L
Main Domains: Knowledge
Sub Domains: Land, Community, Exorcism
Symbol: Ram, Keys, Hand Gestures
Other: Knowledge is gathered in order to be archived; the worshippers of the celestial Hierophant build a world governed by order, law and morality, whereas the followers of the fiend Hierophant rebel against outdated beliefs. They are typically abjurers, guards, and orators.
And that's it for the first post! The pantheon posts will definitely be taking me a bit more time than the m6 builds simply because they are much more complex.
I am a bit of a mythology freak so I obviously find inspiration in real religions; especially the one from my culture since I know much more about it than other mythologies. Expect to see some slavic influences in this pantheon :-)
Huge thanks to my friend @qqilxe for helping me every time I encountered an inspiration block!!! My #1 consultant and beta reader !!
Working on the Major Arcana pantheon post - for my homebrew Vesuvian D&D project. Would you rather have everything in one post or separate/semi-separate posts for the Arcana, but a bit more detailed?
Do you remember that dorian tale that was supposedly The Arcana x D&D, but it turned out to be not really D&D anyway?
Well, if you want to play some tabletops in a Vesuvian setting, I decided to actually build the M6. Feel free to use this as reference, for me it's just a silly detailed AU that maybe I'll actually play. So without further ado, enjoy with our first character, Julian!
This is a 3RD LEVEL character build!
First and foremost, Julian's race would be a tiefling - chaotic-leaning and preferred by theatre kids and the gays, that might be the best choice for him. Look into their bloodlines, although I'm personally not the biggest fan of most of them - the most fitting for Julian would probably the bloodline of Dispater for the sake of a Disguise Self spell (a nod to Majulian) or a Winged variant tiefling if you want to go for something closer the Reversed Ending aesthetics.
Now, Julian is a Bard/Rogue Multiclass - that means you'll need to make sure his Charisma and Dexterity stats are both at least a score of 13. It's because he needs to be charming enough to bard, and sneaky enough to rogue.
Rogue (lvl 2): It allows Julian to be quite a slippery eel, especially with the Cunning Action. Additionally, since Julian knows his way around black markets and dodgy alleyways, the Thieves' Cant feature fits perfectly. Building yourself a Julian rogue, consider giving him expertise/proficiency in Acrobatics, Deception, Persuasion and/or Stealth, as they are all fitting to his character.
Bard (lvl 1): Being a theatre kid on the side, Julian gets plenty of benefits from this class. First of all, his instrument - I chose a vielle, since he can canonically play it. One level is just fine for Julian to know a little bit of spellcasting, despite not being that much into magic himself - Cure Wounds (and Healing Word, if you wish) is a MUST. You also have a chance to get yourself a Disguise Self spell (like I said before as a nod to The Majulian), and since Julian is canonically fluent many languages, you can also consider giving him a Comprehend Languages spell. Since this class gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing skill proficiencies, it's a perfect moment to give Dr 69 proficiency at Medicine - another "must have" for this character. Performance or History can also be good choices for him.
When it comes to Julian's background, I have a few propositions - it depends on your own preferences.
Sailor (due to his in-game backstory and dreams of becoming a pirate)
Entertainer (since he is a theatre kid)
Anthropologist (he has travelled the world, learnt about cultures, languages, history etc)
Haunted One (by the mystery of Lucio's murder; the Plague; the Hanged Man... this is my personal favourite)
That's it for now; the rest is up to you and the rulebook!
Next character coming soon, let me know if you are interested in this format of a character build or if you want something to change - I'm mostly doing this for myself, but just in case, my asks are open :-)
