This is a hand screen printed sew-on patch, featuring the image of the classic Flammarion engraving, created by an unknown artist. This image's first documented appearance was in Camille Flammarion's 1888 book L'atmosphère: météorologie populaire ("The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology"). It has been been used in many other publications over the years, often to represent a quest for knowledge or journey into the unknown. White ink on black 100% cotton duck cloth. Approximately 9.25'' x 7.75''.

Hand screen printed sew-on patch with image of the Caterpillar drawn by John Tenniel, for the original 1865 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. (Available here in my shop). White ink on black 100% cotton duck cloth. Patch measures about 6.5'' x 7.75''.

This is a hand screen printed sew-on patch, with the image of the Hand of the Philosophers. This image is an 18th century alchemical illustration, depicting the seven secret signs which hold the secret to divinity. (Artist unknown). White ink on black 100% cotton duck cloth. Approximately 5'' x 7''.
