Isn't it strange that after Season 1, the most explicit sexual acts in our supposedly queer show have been heterosexual? So far, TVL has had three sex scenes; the only gay one was brief and featured very deliberate lighting. Loumand in Season 2 was even worse...

i feel like it may be combination of AMC being conservative and the network realising how big of the audience is women (who have hots for Sam, mostly, but also Jacob although the fandom is still very racist) and want to cater to them, since I have noticed a lot of fanfics for example being Lestat x Y/N or Lestat/Original Female Character, Lestat x Reader and so on.
