STOP saying the otherworldly powers are corrupting my mind godddddd. You literally wish you were us. I mean us. I mean me.

Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Everyone and their mother LOVES crack shipping or rarepairs or whatever, until it comes to Sam Wilson. Suddenly, the whole "it just doesn't make sense" excuse comes out...
Steve and Sam take a ballroom dance class– Inspired by impertinence’s awesome Sam/Steve fic “And the Reasons We Were Singing.”
I remember this prompt I had a while back where sam's usual suit was at the cleaners or being repaired but he still wants to help so he shows up to the next mission in his 70s costume and steve has trouble focusing because he hasn't seem sam look like that in forever... but like he tries to play it cool by not looking sam straight in the eye the whole time and only mentioning sam in context of other team members like "nat and sam" and he does a decent job of not breaking until the end of the mission when he's like "you all can go ahead and go out to eat/get cleaned up I'm gonna do a quick sweep to make sure everything is handled" and when everyone leaves he grabs sam and takes him to a nearby safe house or something idk
Sam: *shows up in this outfit*
Steve:
i genuinely hate so much of the mcu fandom like why in 2025 are you defending the whitewashing of the maximoffs and why in 2025 are you saying bucky would make a better cap than sam and why in 2025 are you casting a white woman in a red wig as mj…

i edited the original post bc the mj thing is about people fancasting and zendaya will be returning as mj BUT rdj as doom pisses me off so much and im so tired of people pretending the whitewashing of victor von doom is okay bc its what all adaptations have done as far as im aware (if there are adaptations that dont whitewash him please point them in my direction i admit i dont know much of the marvel cartoons).

❤️ Gwen Stacy❤️
Even Sam refers to his break up with Steve as a divorce
Sam’s thought process about Bucky in TWS vs Sam’s thoughts process about John in TFaTWS is not the same.
At all.
Because Bucky’s situation and John’s situation are not the same.
At all.
And their respective relationship throughout the media with Sam is not the same.
At all.
Sam WAS absolutely correct into expressing his doubts and sharing with Steve the very real possibility that whoever this man was, it wasn’t Bucky Barnes. They couldn’t know. YOU the audience had more information so YOU could make another educated guess based on simple comic history. Had you been a third character in that movie who never encountered littéral brainwashing and who knew basic maths you would have questioned too if that assassin was truly Steve’s “old” best friend and what could be done at that point.
Sam WOULD HAVE helped John IF John had correctly asked for help and IF John actually listened to what people and especially Sam told him. And by LISTENED I mean having both hears open and taking the words into consideration, not blindly following like they were orders. John only listens to himself and we saw him push Bucky to do the same, gladly ruining Sam’s mission for him, something a lot of people never mention. And by the way, Sam did work with John, so what are you annoyed about exactly?
Sam never suggested that John was an irredeemable person because Sam wasn’t even allowed to make that many judgements on people in his own show + John was far from being his priority (and we know how a white character not being a character of color’s too 1 priority makes some people brain fart on fart on fart). What Sam did accurately perceived however was that John should not be Captain America and have the shield. That’s it.
Was he wrong?
Was he?
So you can keep your half asses comparaisons that make no kind of sense.
And why is that everyone is allowed to treat Sam like shit and badmouthing him but Sam can’t even “I’m not sure about that” and you consider it a capital sin?
"Sam and Bucky were mean to Walker!"
Sam at "WORST" treats Walker with slightly cold civility. Stop blaming Sam for Bucky's attitude. Stop pretending that Sam did Walker wrong. He engaged the man in dialogue and only shut that down whenever Walker openly and directly disrespected Sam in ways you people never acknowledge.
We all know why those people pretend Sam was "mean" to Walker, when he never really was. It's because Sam is a black man who didn't coddle the poor little white manchild who was trying to hate crime him repeatedly.
Be so fucking for real.
bucky has a disability??
he doesn’t have an arm.
It's always so funny how people characterize Peter Parker as someone who begins his superhero career bright eyed and grows into someone more cynical and pessimistic along the years when in reality it's the opposite and at 15 he held scorn for just about everyone in his life save for his Aunt May and at 25 makes unrealistic vows about no one dying under any circumstances when he's around
