The local queer centrum asked us all to support the ban on conversion therapy in the EU initiative, so now it's My Job to do it seriously.
We still need so many signatures. Damn. So. Many. Signatures.
Come on people, we can do this!!
To my fellow European moots and followers, please sign this initiative to make conversion therapies illegal in all the EU.
We need 1M signatures and there's only 100k.
Just in Madrid, more than 1M people attended the PRIDE event. It's time to put our efforts where our words are.
Hey! Thank you for sharing this! There was an unexpected surge of notes on this post, and you are the one who caused it.
Re: Pride attendance: I don't know about Madrid, but here in Luxembourg, it made me seriously angry how the people organizing it didn't mention this initiative in their speeches. They pose demands to the state each year, and this year, banning conversion therapy was one of them. You'd think that they'd at least mention that, hey, by the way, you could totally do something about that, but no, they just said that the Government should ban conversion praxis, anyway, let's party. There were so many people at that event! We could have had the signatures for our country together then and there pretty easily. Instead, we only got, like twenty new signatures? I believe. Not sure. I did check it at the time, but it was a while ago, I forgot the exact number.
Thank you!! I wasn't seeing that much activity in Spain regarding this topic, and neither on my dash here in Tumblr so I decided to give it a boost.
If just like 15% of the people going to these big prides voted, I think we would be already over the million votes...
Keep sharing please!!

a kinetic sculpture by Tim Lewis
I know itâs not pottery but it is sculptural and holy shit
itâs beautiful and disturbing and I feel like I could stumble across this creature in a forest and never be seen again???
"where the forest meets the field" by Tim Lewis (on ig)
I'm so in love with this for a variety of reasons. Best reason? Tim Lewis also made my fav kinetic sculpture, titled "Pony".
Big thanks to Andrea (dollsahoy) for sending me the link to this post. <3

Also at that conference was the great Peruvian novelist Mario Vargas Llosa. During the next two days the three of us made two discoveries about one another.
The first was that each of us had attacked at least one of the others in print. I had dissed Ecoâs book. Umberto had criticized Mario for being too right-wing. Mario had criticized me for being too left-wing.
The second discovery was that we all got on like a house on fire.
It was Umberto who suggested we should now call ourselves The Three Musketeers. (This, remember, was the time of the Three Tenors, Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras.) I remember asking, âWhy Musketeers? Why not, for example, The Three Stooges?â
âNo,â Umberto insisted. âIt has to be Musketeers, because first we were enemies and now we are friends.â

Update!
The guy in this photo is called A'aed Abu Amro. Shortly after this image went viral, he was shot by Israeli Army but someone close to him said he was fine. I couldnât find anything else about him, not even ways to support him directly. So Iâm adding some relevant links to help as many people as we can:
Hereâs a thread on twitter with GoFundMe links for Palestinians in need
The Middle East Childrenâs Alliance (MECA)
Palestine Childrenâs Relief Fund (PCRF)
Medical Aid for Palestinians
You can find more links to support organizations here!
Please, if you canât donate, consider taking 5 to 10 minutes to learn about the situation. I know is hard, but you donât have to do it all at once.
Do you remember Mohammed El-Kurd? His interview with CNN went viral recently. His instagram is linked and you can find ways to support Sheik Jarrah through his linktree. Hereâs a direct link for donations.

Like Water - Palestinian Artist TAYSIR BATNIJI
109 words meaning water in arabic language. This inventory was established by Mahmoud Darwish in his collection âMemory for forgetfulnessâ - transcription with water on floor. - Taysir Batniji
âThis work follows several performative projects, undertaken in the last few years that evoke notions of memory, erasure, non-being, and destruction/construction or (deconstruction /restitution). Each of these âacted shapesâ is the result of obsessional, repetitive, and often useless or absurd gestures. In the Impossible Journey I used a shovel to move a pile of sand, from one side of an imaginary line to the other, to the point of sheer exhaustion. Another work Hannoun is based on cutting and scattering the shavings of about 400 red pencils on the ground, to suggest the appearance of a field of poppies⌠In Like Water, I write with water, using a brush, for over two hours and within a marked perimeter the 109 Arabic words that signify water and which were cited, according to Ibn Sida, by Mahmoud Darwish in his book âMemory for Forgetfulness.â The result is an unproductive production: when I start writing the second or the third line, the first words are absorbed in the floorâs covering or evaporated until they completely disappear.â (x)
the words from Darwish below, for anyone curious:

It will forever haunt me that I cannot share this joke with everyone I meet
I will be reblogging this every time it comes on my home page, thank you.
