My favorite LOK characters are of course all women, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable cosplaying as a woman, so I think I really want to cosplay a modern day Mako and wear a shirt that says “I Love Korrasami”.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

I did a Korrasami piece in celebration of the news and the time of year! I will probably make this a more elaborate and finished piece (I picture them at the Glacier Spirits Festival).  I just had some time last night while waiting for the party to start so I did a quick sketch and power colored it today haha

I have to say though, this has been my favorite ship for forever and now that it’s canon, I am freaking out in happiness!

And that’s before we even get into the thematic appropriateness of [Korra and Asami] coming together, not only the marriage of benders and non-benders, technology and spirituality, fighter and negotiator (though each has dabbled in the other). The last book is about finding balance, so of course the final romance was a meeting of two individuals who started out in direct opposition. To say there is no build up is to be willfully ignorant at best and roughly as observant as a mossy rock at worst.

♒ Something that really bothers you?

Umm, the character Kai. Not because I don’t like him, but because I feel he got rather wasted. 

    Like, what was the point? What was the point of him at all except to be a cute little boyfriend? I was hoping for an intense backstory (I’ve even re-written an episode where it would work perfectly) and maybe a connection between Mako, one that would kind of soften Mako up a bit, make them both grow and soften, I dunno. I do have it planned out. Maybe I’ll write it one day. 

   Also, RANDOM AIR BENDING? No. I refuse to accept it’s TOTALLY random. No. There HAS to be a reason. Because really. 

   Also, new villains each season. Still haven’t decided if I love or hate that.

He & Mako did have a moment. The implication was that Mako saw a lot of himself in Kai.

I do think they should’ve showed him more but the show had a lot of characters.

From the little we see him in Book 4, I gathered that he found the stability he needed & wanted in the Air Nation & came to really identify with their ideology.

The main word you used there was ‘gather.’ His development is implied, in some sort of way, in, like, you know, the five words he says the entirety of Book 4… 

     Wow. There was NO Kai in Book 4. Huh. 

      And Raava: BOO, we learned it was Katara’s love and the Spirit Water, SPIRIT being the key to, you know, revive the Spirit inside Aang, that cured him. 

   It’s just so BORING. Random Air Bending, including AANG’S child. Isn’t that weird? Huh.

I have to agree with you, Ally; this world needs more Korra and Raava in it! I’m REALLY going to miss them and seeing their dynamic develop, but at least they’re reunited now. Have a wonderful holiday season, korradoe, and I hope you like your present!
