partially-managed mental illness is so fucking funny i'll be sitting around doing my job and suddenly think "wow i hate myself" and immediately get confused because, like, that's not TRUE! i love myself so much. who are you to talk to me like that
And then you can’t even say shit about bc people start trying to put you in a jacket and shit. Like omg it’s so strict???
"I hope that we all find something, or someone, that can keep the light on a little longer against the endless, pressing dark."
-Welcome to Night Vale episode 50: Capital Campaign
me remembering i have a name and body and people know me:
"All religions are cults if you think about it"
Actually they're not all cults and you're doing the work of making sure actual cults can slip under the radar when you say stuff like that
Cult leaders LOVE that trend, because they can point to it and say, "people will call anything a cult, it's basically meaningless"
I'm begging you all to stop using the word cult until you really understand what it means
you deserve a life you aren’t constantly recovering from
"Time to go beast mode" I say as I curl up into a ball, wrapped up in blankets, with my plushies and listening to soothing sounds for sleep .
✅ curled up safely
✅ warm den
✅ fluffy bedding
✅ various ambient noises
Seems like beast mode to me
(wanting to make a post about something but it reveals too much about your personal life) i have had a negative experience
I think people would be less suicidal if they were allowed to talk about being suicidal without risk of being sent to the Torture Dungeon
Society teaches us that it's wrong to take yourself where you're at. According to society you're supposed to push through and achieve the same stuff every day, and if you don't you're being weak or lazy.
So here's a reminder that society is wrong. Accepting where your body and mind are at on a given day is an important part of looking after yourself. If you wake up and think, "I'm not up to doing anything today, so I'm not going to force myself," that is you taking care of yourself and it's a GOOD thing.
Unconditional love isn't a free pass to hurt me.
This is important. Never stop caring, continue to be ticked off, educate others and do your best to fight against the systems and suffering.
I believe in you, you are all worthy of dignity and respect.
maybe i like my tech a little bit inconvenient
maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.

Anybody else use doom scrolling as a solution? If you're doom scrolling on social media, you're (probably) not doing anything else in that time. I have multiple family members who struggle with stopping doom scrolling meanwhile i struggle with the opposite issue. My body cannot handle the amount of activities i always try to do so sometimes i actively choose to use doom scrolling so i will stop doing stuff for five goddamn seconds and give my body a break
