Merchant’s Requests — Sign-Ups Open May 22nd, 2026
The nomination period is starting tomorrow, and we’re excited to officially announce that sign-ups for Merchant’s Requests will open on May 22nd.
Important:
Whether the exchange proceeds in its full format will depend on the amount of participants and sign-ups received. If participation ends up being too small for proper matching, we will look into alternative event formats, so everyone can still have fun creating for the Resident Evil fandom.
To help ensure fair matching and improve the chances of everyone receiving a fanfic gift they’ll enjoy, participants must include:
✔️ At least 3 different relationship tags in their Requests
✔️ At least 3 different relationship tags in their Offers
Please make sure these are different tags to give the matching system enough flexibility.
You may include up to 15 relationship tags total if you wish.
Accepted relationship types include:
Rivalries / Enemy Dynamics
During sign-ups, you must clearly list your DNWs: themes, tropes, or content you absolutely do not want to receive in your gift.
Please be as clear and honest as possible so writers can safely create for you.
Participants must also specify:
Whether they are comfortable receiving NSFW content
Whether they are willing to write NSFW content
This helps avoid uncomfortable mismatches during assignments.
Merchant’s Requests will also allow optional Treats.

Treats are completely optional, but highly encouraged for anyone who wants to spread a little extra bioweapon-infested joy throughout the exchange.
