A little chronic migraine/illness rant.

As fortunate as I feel to live in Canada with extended coverage for most health-related things… eye care is not one of them.

I have issues with my binocular vision, and need ongoing vision therapy, as well as specialized glasses. None of this is covered by OHIP or insurance, and will cost several thousand dollars. 🙃

I have to do it. But… holy shit.

I hate being in that weird place where my health feels like a massive burden, over and over again. As much as I’m very grateful that it’s nothing more serious, my overall health feels like an ongoing nuisance to myself and those around me.

$4k+ to have normal, functioning vision. Maybe. All because my eyeballs are basically divorced from each other. But for them to work together again, I have to work for it. And pay a lot. Yay.
