Making moves in silence is a healthy practice. You have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.
what keeps me alive recently
“That might be why youth is powerful— it shines, blindingly bright, for just an instant. But you can never go back.” (Deok Sun, Reply 1988)
Reply 1988 feels like the start of a warm summer day, a breath of fresh air from all the worries. It’s like an embrace; it keeps on giving warmth. It feels and whispers home. It comforts.
It’s a great reminder that desperation leads you nowhere, but choosing to struggle dares you to win. It is a faded but a beautiful, reassuring picture that only the heart can see.
Reply 1988 takes you back to a time that you can just remember vividly, but can never go back to. It shows the beauty in the careless days of youth that we might have taken for granted. It shouts the enthusiasm we once had, in pursuit of a life that is well-lived.
Reply 1988, I am grateful for your generosity. I found a new set of friends; I felt the warmth of home in Ssangmundong. Thank you for all the reminders. One thing is certain, I will remember.
