recovery is scary, but it’s always for the best. you’ll never regret recovering and getting your life back.

taking care of yourself doesn't always feel good, setting boundaries is painful, trust your limits, know when to make yourself rest, know when you need solitude
Your worth is not determined by your productivity. You and your unique perspective matter in this world, regardless of what you have accomplished. 🌈
wood house. forest. walking. breathing. inner peace. we all deserve it.
all food is good food!! all food can provide some benefit to your body, and all food will give you energy to get through your day. eating something that’s considered “unhealthy” is infinitely better than eating nothing at all.
Remember that the reason you’re doing this is to make your life better
I am hoping this counteracts the depressing memes I have been posting.
thinness ≠ health
and health does not define your worth.
Notes to myself —
Skipping meals and feeling hungry is not an accomplishment and you shouldn’t ever listen to the monster in your head that tells you it is.
Did you know that when you eat enough food every day your mood is improved, your body doesn’t hurt, and you have the energy to accomplish tasks throughout the day?
What a wild, novel concept.
harm reduction is better than nothing.
if you absolutely cannot recover right now, you are 100% still allowed to use recovery resources and coping skills to keep yourself medically and emotionally stable.
eating two small meals a day isn’t full recovery, but it’s better than eating nothing.
purging twice a week isn’t full recovery, but it’s better than purging twice a day.
never be afraid to make recovery-oriented choices because you “know you’ll never be able to keep it up.”
taking care of your body is ALWAYS good. your best is all you can do, and sometimes your best just isn’t full recovery yet. that’s okay.
harm reduction could save your life. don’t ever think that your small steps towards recovery are meaningless.
you deserve to celebrate your victories, no matter how small they are
this is so true
