the hands were referenced from another piece of art because unfortunately i can’t exactly snap my wrists to get the right angle and i don’t exactly have a third arm to take angled pictures with. it’s oki tho. im just kinda sad because i like using my own hands for stuff. his left hand is completely kind of made up tho. when i have a photo i can sort of flip the form around in my mind. i just need that little push to see how everything rests.
the mirror thing was supposed to just be a simple plain mirror with nothing in it to insinuate that it had been broken by him and abandoned. just put that shit in a void. but when i got to drawing it i thought it would be cool if it was a pov shot. there’s genuinely a MULTITUDE of reasons for why a person would shatter a mirror with their bare hands and even more reasons for mithrun. i think the expression on his face is ambiguous enough that you can extract what you think is fitting. hallucinations? an accident? self loathing? self injury? like idk it’s cool to me,. what’s going on in his head
i was really sleepy drawing this and i was anxious that i had messed up some details with his lefts and rights. like i placed the bandages wrong or i made him left handed instead of right handed. lowkey i don’t know if he IS left handed??? brotha i dont know i just assumed no sorry
i drew these in something 4:3 adjacent but for the video i chose 1:1 and then had to further crop it to like 1:0,999999 cus a line of a few pixels was bothering me. might be stupid as fuck since i edited it at like 2am . it’s kinda bad bro who cooked here . i should redo the text i don’t think it’s smooth and i want to fiddle with the shake effect more. but you yes you tumblr user reading this probably wont see that version. i don’t wanna be repetitive yknow
