Justice for Lakeith Smith and A’Donte Washington!
Please sign the petition!!!
if you can, not only sign but also donate to his GoFundMe, run by his mother and cousin. Lakeith has been denied visitation from any family members for the two years he’s been at the correctional facility. he has a daughter who was born after he was arrested that he has been never allowed to see. lets get him out of there.

Don’t donate to change . Org donate to the go fund me
A few months ago I reblogged a post sharing Jazzy’s gofundme, a girl who was poisoned by her roommate, noting that she only had about half her goal despite the fund being up for several years. I saw a lot of people reblog that version; Just a month or so later when I checked her fund again it had been reached!! And tons of people still reblog it.
I think when people are just scrolling and they come across these posts they don’t check immediately and forget about it, seeing all the notes and assuming the fund is doing well- I think more people need this visualized to realize this person REALLY needs help.
We can’t let Lakeith continue to be punished in this repulsive system. Please make sure him and his fund get the attention Jazzy does and let’s do everything we can to get him to the goal!! We have to reunite him with his family by any means possible.
As of today ( Saturday, August 8th, 2020 ) Lakeith is $12,061 from his goal!!
full offense but its pretty garbage to crop the post like that considering this is what OP was actually promoting
HIPS DC’s clients are predominately sex workers and IV drug users. They run the only 24/7 sex worker hotline where people can call for advice, suicide prevention, transition, and safer drug use.
Instead of clowning OP or arguing with the covid truther in the notes you should donate to HIPS if you have the means.

I was thinking about my mom talks about how Lebanese are Phoenicians and how much cedar tree imagery there is. Combined with the unfathomably large Betruit explosion yesterday, reminded me of a forest fire. Probably because a literal mushroom cloud created by government incompetence offers little hope. Fire is a deeply destructive thing, and that clears out the old, leaving ground for new seeds to grow.
Lebanon as a country has been starving, and working on revolution for decades, but it’s gotten worse since October, then Covid, and now this.
It’s hard to help from afar, if you have money to donate here’s some Lebanese based charities.

8/4/2020 - I know this is an ace blog, but there was an explosion in Lebanon and the government so far as requested anyone in that country to donate blood to help out.
You probably saw photos or videos, horrific as they are I don’t know if they show the awful scale of what happened yesterday.
So far 100 are reported dead, thousands injuried, I saw one report that said half the buildings in the city are damaged.
There’s a lot of links floating around if you are going to donate please give to the local Red Cross.
a massive explosion just rocked the capital city of lebanon, beirut. footage of the explosion has been captured, and it is horrific and terrifying. dozens and maybe even hundreds of people have been injured and the reports have confirmed at least 10 people dead. reports are still coming in.
hospitals are overwhelmed. the lebanese red cross has sent out an urgent message in need of blood donations of all blood types. open transfusion centers to help aid in this disaster are currently

if you have loved ones in lebanon or you are aware of someone who has loved ones in lebanon, i strongly urge you to reach out to them as soon as possible. if you don’t have loved ones in lebanon, i hope you at least spread the word to help others and keep beirut in your thoughts today.
this all started just barely two hours ago, and the reports are still coming in with updates. keep an eye on the news, if you can. stay safe.

"Stop scrolling and please help me spread the word, because if I've landed on your page you're most likely either a black woman or someone who cares about black women and the simple phrase I'm about to share could help save a black woman's life.
Doctors are to black women what police officers are to black men. That may seem controversial but I believe it to be true and I speak from personal experience.
If you've seen this TikTok you know that a 2016 study showed that 50% of medical students and residents thought that black people couldn't feel pain the same as white people.
And we learned from this video that because of a 1999 study, to this day, there's a black correction factor for the creatinin levels in black people's kidneys, meaning we're less likely to recieve a kidney transplant if needed.
So if you go to a doctor, feel you aren't getting proper treatment or they refuse the treatment you've requested, say to them the following:
I will need you to document on record that you are refusing the treatment (or medicine) I've requested, and the reason you are doing so."
This works. I have used it in other situations. If medical staff have to document and take responsibility and be on the hook legally for doing shady shit they behave much differently.
If you weren’t already going to spread this advice because black women are at risk, then spread it because it’s applicable to everyone else as well, including you reading this.
But particularly women, and especially black women.
You may have seen this story, about “Grace”, the Black Michigan teen only identified by her middle name that was the subject of a recent investigation after she was sent to prison for having ADHD during a pandemic. This story gets more and more horrific as you read it, and many, many people have shared it. some people have asked how they can help, here’s a few resources.
A 15-year-old in Michigan was incarcerated during the coronavirus pandemic after a judge ruled that not completing her schoolwork violated h
First, there have been some updates:
1) The case is now going to the Michigan Supreme Court
Attorneys for a 15-year-old sent to juvenile detention for not doing her schoolwork argued the teenager is not a threat to the community, co
2) The absolute BITCH of a judge assigned to the case just denied a motion to release Grace in an absolutely horrific hearing. (She literally had to say “I can be obedient” after the judge said she was “blooming” in juvenile detention.) The judge also knows people hate her after she received a flood of calls, and is doubling down.
At a hearing Monday, Judge Mary Ellen Brennan denied a motion to release a 15-year-old from a juvenile facility. “I think you are exactly wh
