Huh, it’s been a long time... So what’s up ? - I reconnected with a long lost sister ! She seems nice, we’re still getting to know eachother, but I’m happy :) - I got in a car crash. Nothing serious, no one’s hurt, but I feel really sorry for smashing the door of the other driver. She seems like a nice lady too, it probably ruined her day :’( - My boyfriend (lover... fiancé... I don’t know what to call him, nothing seems really appropriate) got transferred to another city. He’s home only on weekends, so we make the most of it, but I still got to reorganize my lifestyle. I guess having a lifetime experience of starting everything from the scratch helps. - Migraines are back, stronger than ever. Yay ! Nothing on scanner, so it’s not a life-threatening illness. I’m trying a new treatment, but I have a feeling it doesn’t work. Having a migraine for 6 days is not fun... - I’m still fighting with depression and grief. Remember those memories I was talking about few posts ago ? It’s been the anniversary. Finds out it’s been 20 years since I lost my first love just in front of me. I thought it was less. People say I couldn’t have done anything to save him. Maybe, maybe not. I’ll never know now. Anyway, 20 years later it still hurts like hell. The first year made the pain manageable, but no improvement since then. I guess it’s safe to say it will never go away. But it’s one of those “better” times now, so I hope it will last a little longer. See ya ;)

Drinking makes me sleepy. I was too restless these last days, couldn’t sleep more than 3 hours/night. Being alone for an entire week give me too much time and quiet for memories to come back. I keep waking up with nightmares. Now that I think of it, my whole life is suspended on that single memory. All that followed, the pushing people away, the depression and the refusal to move on from the past, it all comes from there. It’s okay, I deserve it. No worries, I won’t get drunk often. But tonight I need to sleep. I’ll be driving a lot in next days, and being so tired is dangerous. I may end up hurting someone. So tonight, a full glass of Bayleys is my best friend. Hope it works.

Just saw a message one of my friends who lives in Brussels wrote on Facebook. It’s hearbreaking and cuts like a barbwire... “You wake up earlier to compensate the traffic disturbances. You check the news, note down the few subway stations that are still open and go at foot to the nearest one. The military search you at the entrance. Inside, the atmosphere is tense, the few people who dared to travel stay silent as we roll past shut down, blackened stations. Some confused people desperately try to open doors. Others talk to them quietly, try to comfort. The train stops at the third of the line without notice, final station. Everyone is lost and confused, push towards the exit and try to figure out how to get to their destination. The compact mass of passengers follow blindly the person in front. We cross the big hall in silence, advancing at small steps to another military group. It’s the exit, we must take the bus. When it arrives, everyone throws themselfs at it before it even stops. Inside, people are confused and many of them realize too late that it’s the opposite direction. Someone offers to pull the alarm, so they can get down, but people protest and we roll... All along the road we can see military trucks everywhere, armed patrols watch us like some potentially dangerous target. The bus doesn’t inform the stops, we just try to guess where we are : “I work not far from here, I recognise the coffee shop, we’re near the *** station.” We hear sirens, again, and see the civilian trucs with police lights storm into the nearest street. Everyone rushes at windows to watch. Suddenly, the bus stops, without notice, and everyone gets out. We help the lost passengers as we can. Going into the subway again. This time the military search us better, and you feel like you passed an exam when you get through. All the hallways are tagged and delimited by the military, only one way possible. At the station, the trains go in random directions, everytime you have to ask the driver its destination. A journalist from RTBF news is filming and questionning the passengers. I get down at the nearest reacheable point and walk. Finally at work. I wonder how my patients in wheelchair would manage to come ? And I still need to buy some food at the market this evening...”
still daydreaming about an awesome zombie apocalypse weekend...
Spent my weekend running away from zombies (and fromer collegues from the apocalypse starter corporation), collecting information about a possible cure, only to find out that there’s none and I was infected... At least I could save some of the “subjects” and it was FUN ! Though I still don’t get how 5 fully-armed guards managed to get scared of me and run away instead of shooting me on the spot ! Guess screaming like crazy and running straight at them was my best way to escape ! o_O’ (Don’t try this in front of real weapons !)
Here we go again with homophobic comments, this time on YouTube, with the usual “argument” : “wth they can't add homosexuality to a star wars movie. cmon this is a kids movie, that would be completely inappropriate.” How so ? Is seeing a heterosexual romance in all the fairytales and movies and children’s books considered as innapropriate for children ? We see them all the time, and no one claims it’s innapropriate. "Straight" stories never turned a gay child into straight, so the fear of seeing straight children grow as gay because of "gay" story is absurd. But it can do soo much good to gay children, grow with comrades that doesn't consider them as monsters, and be confident about who they love. And let’s not forget about the bisexual ones. Star Wars is also about the fight for freedom. I don't see the problem in educating children that gay couples can have the same freedom to live their relationship as straight couples. It's at the young age that the foundations for tolerance can be the most effective. Teach children that humans are equal is on the contrary the most appropriate thing to do.
Life Action Role Play is amasing ! You can be what you want and you live adventures in a world that you chose for an entire week. Experiment things and behaviour you’d never dare in your life, and sometimes find few solutions to your everyday problems. I feel like I lived a dozens of lives, with awesome adventures to tell. I’ve been a witch, a Jedi, a chief of the samurai clan, a Starfleet officer, a zombie appocalypse survivor, a treasure hunter, a paranormal creature... It’s like playing a role in the movie, where every player have the impact on the scenario as it goes, and you get to create your own story. And for crafty hands : you create your own original costume ;)

Going to LARP this weekend :) Since I’m worse then Sean Bean, with only 2 characters that survived out of 40 and something, I wonder how it will go this time. Playing a scientist responsible for the virus that caused a zombie appocalypse might not be the best start for survival, (acting like Leroy Jenkins doesn’t help either) ^^’ Zombies, here I come !
