foxpaw and flamepaw never really interacted before the tawny kits came to thunderclan! im sure they recognized one another out of proximity at gatherings, but their meeting in TC is really when their initial friendship bloomed. in my AU, they stayed in TC for about a moon (not like only a few days like the books suggest), and in that time they really grew close!

i talked a bit about my hawkreed thoughts here so i wont repeat them but tldr i love them + theyre my OCs at this point

my very good friend @rainechiime is the foxflame inventor + expert + #1 fan and i pretty much agree with everything she has to say about it-- i totally recommend checking out their blog and foxflame tag!! i like silly background gays that could be having crazy affairs in the background that none of the main characters ever clock i think its funny and also good for the environment. foxleap is a character i always just wanted more on in general, while flametail feels like sort of wasted potential, so its fun to expand on both their characters at the same time-- and foxleap's very silly outgoing personality goes so well with flametail's more cautious + at times paranoid personality. also they got to hang out for like three days in thunderclan camp so its not technically completely out of the realm of possibility youve got to believe me
