Hong Dae Young, don’t you know what bunny whiskers look like? Bunny Whiskers? Of course I do.
Stranger Season 2 Episode 2
“‘The process doesn’t matter if the outcome is the same?’ I know that’s not how you think, so why was the process completely ignored?”
— Prosecutor Hwang Si-Mok (to Chief Kang Won-cheol)
I truly enjoyed Season 1 but Season 2 was a touch slow for my liking though it did pick up after episode 8 onwards.

A Business Proposal
Kdrama | 12 episodes | duration : 1hr+
I watched the first episode and it got me hooked to the point that I feel like I must watch this kdrama until the end (short 12 episodes though). It has the vibe of “Something about 1%” - contract dating eventually falling in love with each other - kinda vibe with a dust of “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?”
From webtoon to kdrama, if you’ve read the webtoon then you might find the kdrama a very condensed version of that. Part of you would be wanting this kdrama to be a touch more than 12 episodes.

Me: “Is this heaven?”
Queen In Hyun’s Man (2012)
Kdrama | 16 episodes | duration : 45mins
This is an oldie but a goodie. The storyline is still good enough to watch. Love Yoo In Na’s acting. The leads have such good chemistry.
Kim Bung Do is a scholar from Joseon who is protecting the Queen In Hyeon and aims to put her back in the Royal Palace, however he faces many obstacles. His kind friend gave him a talisman for protection but little did he know what fate has in store. When he was in imminent danger, the talisman transported him to the future where he met Hui Jin, an actress set to play the character of Queen In Hyun. Thus, begins their story.
It’s nice to revisit earlier kdramas. Recommend me something :) thank you.

Once We Get Married (2021)
Cdrama | 24 episodes | duration : 45mins
The typical contract marriage trope where they eventually fally in love. “Well Intended Love” made me go down this path lol I stumbled upon this and overall I like this drama more for their acting.
You can already tell from the beginning that they have some feels for the other but are suppressing it for now. Love the way he was looking at her with the wedding dress on.
A lot of their issues actually was brought on by Ran Xiwei, the jealous friend who has the hots for Si Chen. She thinks that Gu Xixi does not deserve Si Chen.
After so many obstacles, they finally proposed to each other. This time for real.

Jirisan (2021)
Kdrama | 16 episodes | 1hr
Set in Jirisan, a tale of mystery, thriller and a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. Overall, this one is just amazing to watch.
The story unfolds over the picturesque Jirisan involving the park rangers (I’ve not seen them portrayed in kdramas but maybe I have yet to watch those dramas). I watched this because of Ju Ji Hoon, Jun Ji Hyu, Sung Dong Il, Oh Jung Se and Jo Han Chul. Brilliant acting overall. Oh yea Kim Young Ok’s in this one as well.
Ju Ji Hoon’s character Hyun Jo has been having visions of deaths on Jirisan ever since the incident involving one of his army guys. He couldn’t get over them and eventually decided to train as a ranger in Jirisan. There he met a very headstrong ranger, Yi Gang, who has lived all her life in Jirisan ever since her parents died in the flood. The story goes back and forth from the past to the present as the incidents keep piling up in Jirisan eventually a pattern emerges and they continue to investigate.
Unfortunately, both Yi Gang and Hyun Jo got into an accident because of the killer that they were chasing and this derailed their investigation.
You might think this guy is the killer but he’s not.
They encountered challenges along the way, lost their loved ones in the process of finding the killer and also get hurt themselves to the point of almost dying!
I cannot do justice in a summary. Really have to watch it. Every episode makes me feel like I am actually on the mountain without being there. I think this one’s for those who dream of being in the mountains but are facing obstacles.
Overall, just go watch this. Enjoyed how the story played out and how the past becomes connected to the future. This is good storytelling.
Woo young 2PM, can you tell me what is the make or model of this LP player?
My Name (2021)
Kdrama | 8 episodes | 1 hr
I liked the fact that it only had 8 episodes.
Gotta love the strong female character in this one. The story of a teenage girl who wants revenge foe the death of her father. Groomed as a double agent for a gangster, she joined the police force in order to find out her father’s killer.
So far so good.
Then, they put in this unnecessary so-called sex scene. IMO this didn’t really help the storyline much. They might as well just huddle by the foreplace and exchange histories.
Nonetheless, I love the twists and turns in this show. The mob boss is such a character that you love to hate. I think his chracter is actually the reason why I stayed watching “My Name”. Crazy twisted. I understand why he felt compelled to do what he did to her. Ultimately, he did care for her and wanted her to live a good life but she was hellbent on finding out her father’s murderer.
Eventually, she realised it was the gangster boss that killed her father. Loved how this played out.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)
Kdrama | 20 episodes | 1hr+
A down-on-her-luck gal met a vagabond at a lake and wanted to change her life. She saw a boy about to drown in the lake and rescued him before losing herself in the lake. She managed to get out of the water only to realise that she somehow was transported 1000years into the past and landed in the bathing house of the Goryeo princes.
She is no longer Go Ha Jin from the future. She is now Hae Soo, a 16years old cousin of Lady Hae. Lady Hae is married to Wang Wook, the 8th prince. Through this connection, her world and that of the princes’ collide and she unfortunately becomes embroiled in their struggle for power.
One of my fave scenes where Wang So and Hae Soo had their first snow moments.
Wang So had to overcome personal losses in order to become a king.
One of his happier moments after becoming King.
Is the prophecy coming true? Will he be the one to kill his brothers? My heart stopped at this scene.
There was a scene as Hae Soo left the palace and was saying her farewell to Wook and he said “This life is over”, I really thought that she would be somehow transported back to the future…….and she did.
Overall, I enjoyed the character development, storyline and plot twist. The acting was superb. You can cry with this one. Also, I understand why the fans wanted a Second Season for this drama. It seems like there could be a chance for the 2nd season because Hae Soo returned to the future and met Ji Mong and somehow recalled her past memories with So. It would be good to know their challenges in the future if Wang So has the mindset of the past and attempting to live in the future much like how Hae Soo had to adapt her future mindset to her “present” time which was the Joseon era.

Because I love you (2017)
Kmovie | almost 2hrs
Cha Tae Hyun stars as Lee Hyung, a songwriter, who was involved in an accident on the way to meet his girlfriend. Somehow he ends up possessing the people who have witnessed his accident and becomes somewhat a messenger of love until he regains his memory with the help of Scully, a highschool girl.
Overall it was a heartwarming and lighthearted movie. I enjoyed it. His friends are in it as well. Jang Hyuk played a cameo as a fortune teller. Kyung Min as one of the judges. I can’t believe that Oh Na Ra was in it as well. I only got to know her through Sixth Sense the variety show with Jessi and Jae Suk.
