Lack of Art Hurts the Brain

I know while there isn't much expectations for a constant output of content for most artists, yet I and so many still hold ourselves to high expectations. I try not to be too rough on myself but after going too long without making something I honestly feel myself in a rut and feel really disconnected from any works I've been doing even if I've had a pretty good excuse of not having the time to do stuff. Like, just by NOT doing things I'm losing out on any skills I've worked on so long. It's a strange feeling that's hard to express. It's an awkward feeling that's not "Oh I'm not getting anything done, I'm so lazy" but much more so "Oh I'm not getting anything done, any progress or forward momentum that I had is gonna be lost". It's being on a self made timer that's illogical but so internal you can't turn it off. You can't make stuff too fast because you want it to be good. But at the same time you can't take too slow because you feel like you're losing talent and capability as an artist.

Little Troublemaker!!! Inktober day 3 : Path! It's simple, it's quick, but I felt doodling something simple works best. Honestly I think I'm gonna be done with inktober from now on haha. Just waaaaay too much work trying to get it done everyday

Do Master Diviners Dream of Yummy Sweets? Day 1 Inktober : Dream! So yeah, a little late, but better then nothing at all! (You can tell I rushed on the cake but still, pretty happy with it!) I think Inktober will give me a good chance to just show off my interests, with my first being Star Rail and Fu Xuan! She's cute!

Creative battery low!!! Sometimes it's just hard to put anything worthwhile down on paper bweh. I don't expect this to get noticed really, but at the same time I guess I wanted to vent my frustrations in some way.

What is your favorite piece of media to draw art of?

This might be a cheat answer, but RPGMaker games! Things like OMORI, Yume Nikki, OFF, .flow, Ib and so on all have such a unique style to them but allow for so much creative freedom when making art for them. They can be as simple or stylish as you please and still really capture the tone and feeling of the games themselves!
