ayato’s heart swells a bit when he sees the silver band on his ring finger , it glistens underneath the dim light of his lamp , he traces the initial of your name which was printed on it , he chuckles lightly remembering how you had scolded him for doing so, his heart always swells when he sees this silver band glitter underneath the lights.

he remembers it clearly how your eyes turned glassy as tears drop down out of your eyes , you hands hovering over your mouth before you whisper a yes and jumping to hug the male who almost fell back from the force but he himself can’t seem to see clearly as tears roll down of his own.

“papa , your little one wants to meet you.” he hears your voice ring through his office as you slide the shoji door open with a bundle of joy in your arms , who shares the same eyes as yours but his hair , he seems to look more like him but he pushes to you for having such pretty genes.

his heart swells at the sight of you and his little one , he chuckles to hear the gurgles of his child which seems to move in your arms making you laugh before you hand the child to him, “eager to meet me I see.” he looks with wonder in his eyes at his little bundle of happiness.

ayato seems to feel his heart fill with joy as the little baby in his arms reaches out to hold his fingers as a small babble of happiness comes out of the throat of the child , “looks like someone going to be papa’s child more than mama.” you laughed as you cleared his mess of a table.

his heart seems to always become full with love when he sees the silver band on your ring finger glisten, he remembers how these bands of nothingness tie you together but in the end even with this band you’re always going to be his and him yours.

these silver bands hold a meaning to you two even though they are full of nothingness but the bind you together forever with love so pure and his heart swells again when you peck his forehead before leaving him to play with his child.

Stumbled upon your blog and I ENJOY the headcanons you have for Genshin characters—specially Ayato.

Speaking OF him, can I request Ayato with a Socially Awkward s/o? The s/o does their best to communicate effectively towards Ayato but sometimes it can end up meaning the wrong way. They just end up scribbling down everything that’s on their on their mind onto a piece of paper and hands it over to him.

Socially Awkward!Reader

You weren’t the best at talking sometimes. It wasn’t something that really bothered you, mainly because you kept to yourself.

But, when you started dating Ayato, things changed. Main thing was you… YOU WERE DATING THE YASHIRO COMMISSIONER!!

There were days where you still thought it was all a dream. I mean… it was Ayato- AYATO. You were just some fly on the wall and he somehow managed to find you.

You’d always been shy and awkward, especially back when he met you. But he always found it endearing, often finding a way to converse with you even if it was a hard day. Ayato had always been with you, he’d always taken care of you and he’d always been at your side on the worst of days.

Ayato doesn’t really mind and he’s always encouraging you to try your best or take breaks if needed. Some days were just harder than others and he understood that.

Sometimes you say things that come off the wrong way. You always cringe and get upset afterward but he’s there to chase off any negative self-talk you have.

Of course, your go-to is to just write down everything you’re thinking of on a piece of paper and give it to him. Ayato takes his time to read everything, smiling and just adoring every little thing about you. He takes just as much time to respond to everything written, again reminding you that it’s ok if you’re feeling a little jumbled today.
