The ADA is written like that on purpose. Our disabled activist elders were not stupid. They knew that the extremely lax rules might be easy to exploit and they made it that way anyway because they would rather have people exploit them than have ANY DISABLED PERSON be gatekept out of exercising their legal rights by being forced to jump thru hoops.

So, I leave in 5 days for my first Burn and guess what?

My car is broken (two tires need to be replaced), and I need to now get a rental to make it up there (I’ll repair my car when I return). Not to mention I am most assuredly not finished packing at allllll (I’m told this is normal before a Burn), but I gotta pay $200 to rent from Enterprise (I get a reduced rate because points yay).
