I don't have a coherent point about this but finding out Brook's origins really feels like it explains a lot, even more than I was expecting

But I also can't exactly explain what I mean by that

It's just that knowing that he was a stubborn little street urchin who was taken in by the nobility who tried to train him into a perfect gentleman makes so much sense based on his behaviour? It's the combination of his complete lack of manners while speaking so properly

And I do find it really cute that he's basically still imitating Candelle and that she was clearly such an idol for him

I wish we got more of her and I wish she didn't just get unceremoniously killed off, but I did really appreciate the little that we did get

And either way I'm just surprised how well this fits with everything we already knew about Brook. I mean I know I shouldn't be at this point but still

i really feel like lovm excels at showing the raven queen/vax situation even better than the campaign, to be honest. we can understand the effects of vax's curse when it's only mentioned once in campaign, we can understand how a life for a life would cause it, we can see the raven queen grooming him/being possessive more explicitly as well as understanding why vax is suffering from disregarding duty, and most importantly vax is allowed to grieve his life when in the campaign it was just said he was steeled against it. really well done

Not sure grooming the right word here, more like preparing him. Cause she knows Vecna coming.

Afterall, Even though she decidedly disagrees with Vax's attempt to resurrect Percy (who's been dead for weeks), she doesn't interfere even if there's a price to pay.

Compare to Vecna who gaslights people into killing and brutalizing others, I argue she at least upfront with what she does.

Honestly I think the new star fox remake looks fine, but i really hope this is the last time we get a remake of 64 because it really is getting old playing the lylat wars over and over again.

If they some how decide to remake another game in the star Fox series I really hope they go for star Fox adventure or assault since i feel they had good ideas but not so great execution

That will only happen if the sales are good, which means we (as fans) have to do our part to buy it and/or convince other to get it themselves.

And honestly, its actually pretty damn good game. So it won't be that hard.

I wonder why Ribbit is a frog. Like, the other pre-pilot members I kinda get. Kaufmo tries and fails to be funny, and isn't taken seriously by the rest of the cast when he brings up the Exit doors. Therefore, considering the nature of the circus bodies, a clown makes sense. Queenie we don't know enough about on a personal level, but on a thematic level, her being a queen ties into Kinger's chess analogy.

Scratch we see very little of, but hear quite a bit about, and he's a dog in a t-shirt. Furry jokes aside, it makes me think of how people describe dogs. "A member of the family." "How old is that in dog-years?" Scratch is just as much a human as everyone else, but knows that his lifespan is much much shorter than those of his peers.

Which brings us back to Ribbit. She has her bowtie, which is their sort of not entirely gender conforming symbol, but you could put a bowtie on a different animal and it'd still make sense. So why a frog? I've been wracking my brain, frogs as a symbol of metamorphosis, frogs as a symbol of biblical plague, frogs as a life sacrificed for science. They've all got the ever so slightest potential, but nothing quite sticks, y'know?

She hates hopping from place to place / regrets hopping away from parents. If that is the case, kind of ironic how she wanted to be free from her old life, so she became a frog in this one: symbolizing the aforementioned hopping from place to place to avoid her parents.

Okay, I have played a bit of Star Fox SNES on NSO, but not a whole lot. I have just played the demo and really liked it. Just need to figure out how to dodge besides using the barrel roll.

Also, since my blocky representation got shot, if I ever make another Star Fox comic, I'm either showing up as a ghost or as a furry. Whichever speaks to me the most.

I adore Brook but the most recent chapter blew me away.

There was no hesitation, no question in him. His King said they had an enemy and he just responded with ‘Understood’ and prepared to go to war. No explanation needed. He believed in this man so deeply, cared about him so much, that he agreed without any thought.

And the real kicker, he hasn’t changed. Because he does the same with Luffy. He is so devoted to Luffy that he requires no explication of his decisions.

Even though we didn't get a flashback as expansive and elaborate as the Loki/Xebec one, I still am sad seeing Brook's homeland being decimated because of the actions of the shitty government. Once again the government screwing over people and making future enemies. And seriously, once again a tragic character who already had baggage once again is given even more trauma because again you live in a setting where the world government can screw you over so many ways.
