Today I delivered a Poetry Workshop for @werfundamentals at @westminsterkingsway all about destigmatizing Mental Health. I got everyone writing their own poems and spoke about everything from the practical things we can do to feel better when we're feeling down, to deconstructing the influence our thoughts, to the power of being present and how we create and affect the reality we experience. . I was told by the music teacher there, that the workshop I delivered at end of last year, has been most transformational thing they've seen happen for a group of students in their time being there since 2005. As a result, Im back to run the same workshop to multiple year groups every week for a whole month so that every student on the course can create a group poem that will get showcased and turned into a mural that lives in the college. I've realised that it's not about what you find in the world as you travel, It's about the travelling you do through yourself as you dis-cover. 🌎 Yes I took the ancient medicine known as Ayahuasca used for over a millennia by the ancient indigenous people of Brazil for its spiritual, cleansing and awakening properties. 💫 I didn't experience the usual affects you might commonly find if youve already done research on this plant. I'll expand on that another time. But what I do know is that I'm not the same person I was before I went on this trip. Still learning more about my new self. Where my shadows really hide, where my light really belongs. And how those two qualities both coincide as I journey to help the world along my path. ⚡ I bring visions to life for a living, those of my own and via @itsmorethanpoetry those of others as I have done here for @awakenbrazil. I filmed all that you see here in this clip over 17 days between Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro. ⚡ There's still a lot of action to take before I arrive at where I know destined to get to. But this trip was certainly a turning point and catalyst to what ever is ahead. So I'm grateful. 🙏🏾 Thank you to all 2020 of my followers here, new and long standing as we approach 2020 itself. In the same society that makes the traditional route survival and prosperity a challenge despite your natural talents. Though I've come a long way, it feels like the roadmap to adulthood has so much missing signage and information.
