sometimes being an animal on the Internet means making lots of Therian/Otherkin flavored posts about phantom body parts and the urge to eat grass/raw meat/ants and going out to howl and run like an unchained beast and wearing collars being the best Feeling in the world. and sometimes it looks like simply scrolling a website under an animal url with an animal themed blog site layout and having other animals on the Internet recognize your hub from the icon/url and go haha I know that [insert species] casually.

Just because Google doesn’t show transautistic isn’t harming the autistic community, doesn’t mean it’s not actively harming the autistic community. That’s a poor example.

i think what they're trying to say about the otherkin is that it and similar groups have existed for quite some time, some even going back in history (i'm not as educated on these facts).

like, for example, i believe they're saying that for some people being otherkin/therian is a spiritual experience and that's how they've "transformed" spiritually, so to speak. for others, it's not spiritual but just like a feeling they were... not meant to be born a human. similar but not completely the same feeling as a trans person (such as myself) experiences.

and, as for the did systems? i have taken notice in the otherkin communities that a large number (but not total) both did systems and autistic individuals (such as myself) make it up. and many of these did systems have alters that may "identify" or "are" an animal, angel, demon, etc (because alters aren't always human when they exist, as my research has lead me to see. i've spoken with different systems and they have told me this on multiple occasions. i myself am not a system, so i can't speak fully on their behalf)

sorry if some of this is oddly worded or doesn't make as much sense! i'm trying my best to explain it ^^; i'm new to the therian/otherkin communities so i may not be the best speaker on everyone's behalf.
