Unions are why you have 5 day, 40 hour full-time work weeks. Unions are why they have to pay you in actual dollars instead ofĀ ācompany creditsā that you can only spend at the company-owned stores. Unions are why there are fucking fire exitsĀ at your place of work. Unions are why itās not okay for your supermarket ground beef to be any percentage human.
You think your company pays you out of the goodness of their hearts? Or even out ofĀ āmarket pressure?ā TheĀ ājob marketā is a myth perpetuated by the capitalists. Corporations would pay you nothing if they could get away with it. And you argueĀ āoh, but if they paid me nothing Iād just go to another one.ā Wrong. Because to maximize profits, they all want to pay you nothing.Ā Corporations exist to maximize profits while reducing risk for investors. Itās part of their entire function to find ways to cut costs as much as possible, and that includes finding ways to pay you nothing.
Unions are your defense against that. You think all a union does is strike? If you pay union dues, a lot of that is spent on lobbyists in various governments reminding your lawmakers that you have rights as a living human being that a corporation should not be able to stomp all over. Unions hire lawyers so that if youāre fired for bullshit reasons, the union can stand up for you against your boss. Theyāre called unions because workers are unitingĀ to pool resources so that they can stand up to these corporate overlords with more money than God.Ā Unions exist because you might not have the words, resources, or time to fight workplace injustices all by yourself. Thatās the whole fucking point.
And if a business shuts down because a union is striking, itās because the business was abusing people and didnāt deserve to be in business anyway. Donāt make excuses for the corporations. They already have trillions of dollars and a couple million lawyers to do that for themselves. They donāt need your help.

Iād love to talk about this. I live 15 miles from Breonna was murdered by police. I will talk about this all day long. Yall want a refresher?? Here it is. I guess Iāll add a break, but you really need to read this and understand what happened and why you should be mad as hell.
ā¢ The officers only wanted a warrant for Breonna because of her ties to a known drug dealer. But she was never actually involved with anything to do with selling drugs. The warrant was obtained using false info that the LMPD detectives got from a Shively police officer. Nothing was done to verify it. A judge signed off on it.
ā¢ The police claimed they announced themselves before busting the door in, but 12 (TWELVE) witnesses who lived in the apartments claimed they didnt hear any of that. The only thing anyone heard was the door being busted in and then gunshots. One of those 12 witnesses barely spoke english and they continued calling this person in for questioning for months until this person FINALLY said that he thought he heard them announce themselves. They then said they have a witness claiming to have heard them announce themselves.
ā¢ Kenneth Walker only fired his gun because all he heard was banging at the door and then the door was busted in. And as previously mentioned there were numerous witnesses saying the cops did not announce themselves. Literally anyone who owns a gun would have done the same thing in Kenneth Walkerās situation.
ā¢ Then of course the actual shooting happened, there were two cops firing from the door way while a third cop started firing through the glass patio door that was covered by a shade. Breonna was killed in the hallway.
ā¢ After this was all said and done they had already arrested the drug dealer they were after. They were only trying to go after Breonna to strengthen their case. They could have simply called her in for questioning and had no reason to believe that she would have ran. And then we also learn that they had a phone call from the drug dealer saying that Breonna was holding money for him which is why they wanted her so bad. That would not have been enough evidence for the warrant, which is why they lied to get one.
ā¢ All of this info and tons more was in the leaked grand jury documents. It is incredible that anyone could look at these facts and say it was Kenneth Walkers fault that his girlfriend was killed by cops while he watched her die.
ā¢ police went to the postal inspector before getting the warrant, who told them she had nothing to do with it. They falsified his statement in the warrant application saying he actually did, and then threatened him to stay silent after they murdered Breonna.
ā¢ They also didnāt pursue medical assistance for her until 45 minutes had passed.
ā¢ Remember, LMPD narcotics cops had a problem where what got checked into the evidence room wasn't what they reported on scene, so they stopped having to report what they found on scene. They were 100% there to steal that money.
ā¢ During the emotional but peaceful protests, police killed a local BBQ restaurant owner, David McAtee and left his body laying in the street uncovered for hours.
ā¢ Cops showed up the PEACEFUL protests looking for violence, they threatened, taunted, tried their best to incite it. They abused peaceful protestors.
ā¢ Greg Fischer, who was mayor at the time, and Craig Greenburg, currently mayor have done fuck all to get control of the police department.
Louisville Metro Police Department is so incredibly crooked. If you call them up, theyāre not coming. Forget it. āWe donāt have enough officers to send one out.ā But when one dies thereās a whole armada of them going down the highway.
They also just got a pay raise.
This doesnāt even cover the Kentucky state Police, who used actual Hitler quotes in their training material and it was kept quiet until a high school newspaper did some digging.
I could go on all day about this. All cops are bastards. Thatās not just a cute little slogan. Itās not just a few rotten apples or poor training or unfortunate oversights. All policing is racist at its core. All cops are class traitors. Iāll talk about this all damn day.
Oh, while Iām at it, donāt forget that in the early 90s two studies were done that showed 40% of police families experienced domestic violence. Police no longer cooperate with such studies.

I'm an immigrant from Poland, to Sweden I'm not brown myself but my first job I had was a cleaning job where I almost exclusively worked with other immigrants and refugees who were mostly brown, a lot of them had kids here in Sweden and pretty much everyone didn't feel "swedish" enough to call themselves a Swede despite you know, living in sweden, speaking swedish, paying swedish taxes, etc. it just felt really strange and the constant urging of Swedish nationalists to say these people are not us, these people are brown and that makes them not swedish. I have met a lady who was adopted by Swedish family when she was a little baby and she still got the same treatment because she is asian, same with her kids, despite sweden being the only country they ever really experienced growing up they still were gatekept from calling themselves swedish.
As for Poland, not much better. There's a constant nationalist idea that a real polish person is white and catholic. Every time I see a video of a black person speaking polish on Instagram or wherever there's always bound to be some moron whining that these people are not polish and that they want them out. That this is OUR home, that we don't want these outsiders, these queers. That immigrants are nothing more than a waste of taxes and housing (sentiment shared in both countries and many more European countries) they try to hide it by saying they just want the "illegal" ones out but I don't buy it. You can make anybody illegal with enough pushes of a pen. A person cannot be illegal and I thought Poland is supposedly famed for its hospitality but I guess I'm wrong.
And just, anybody who says European civilization or western civilization, I straight up don't like. White supremacist ideas are so crazy prevalent in Europe and everyone sweeps it under the rug. Casual racism is insanely common, and normal. I mean.
