oh no I'm imagining wandavision as an allegory for the myth of orpheus and eurydice!!

this post is specifically inspired by the first verse of hozier's song 'talk' and yes i'm going to break it down now

'i'd be the voice that urged orpheus when her body was found,' - someone, maybe Agatha, maybe just Wanda's own mind, when she wakes up in Wakanda and Vision's body is gone, and then when she finds out where SWORD have taken it

'i'd be the choice-less hope in grief, that drove him underground,' - Wanda has absolutely no one, so she creates people, she creates a sort of hell/underworld filled with the living but probably presumed dead - Westview

'i'd be the dreadful need in the devotee, that made him turn around,' - Wanda is going to see through the cracks of her and Agatha's creation soon, and she's going to see Vision for what he really is and come to terms with his death

'And I'd be the immediate forgiveness in Eurydice,' - this lyric makes me go absolutely buck wild!! because vision would forgive her, instantly, once she sets things right, because vision loves Wanda and knows that she's good

'imagine being loved by me,' - imagine being loved by wanda, man, she'd create a whole little world for the two of them

anyway I'm sad and slowly convincing myself that vision isn't going to make it out of wandavision alive so i'm going to at least imagine that it's because they're following a myth of doomed love
